Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    open/close all folders

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • Gods can't be followers or high priests for obvious reasons.
  • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
  • No hype profiles, please.
    • So you ask, what exactly is 'hype profile'? It is a profile based on ongoing events that hasn't been around very long, but generates a lot of hype, possibly because of elements such as Wham Episode or Memetic Mutation or Large Ham or overall 'OMGAWESOME!!!' They're all not bad tropes, but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time). You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but don't make the profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
  • DO. NOT. put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, don't do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, do yourself a favor and delete it from that main page. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good & Evil Colors.
  • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
    • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
    • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
    • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
    • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to the Treasures or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Treasures or Dominions.
  • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
  • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
  • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you're only given three chances on such. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
  • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what's currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction.
  • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
  • Don't repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes haven't been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • Please use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, or something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted.
  • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this god has spots in other houses as well.
  • When writing facts/trivia about gods, try not to contradict what has already been written elsewhere.
  • When writing down the name of a Theme Song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name.
  • When adding an image for your God, make sure that it is not too big unless you wish to write more about the god you have chosen.
  • If you feel the need to remove a god for some reason and replace him/her with another, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. If you're lucky (and they're from the same franchise), maybe both of them can share the title "Gods of (Insert Trope Here)".
  • Certain tropes can have more than one God. It is not advisable, but it is not forbidden. Just ensure that this second God will bring in new flavor of the trope. If you have doubts on how to bring the other flavors, consult the Trope Pantheon Discussion forum. Case in point: In the original Greek Mythology (and later Roman Mythology), both Ares/Mars and Athena/Minerva share the title of 'God/Goddess of War', and even then, they differ in flavor: Ares is about brutal warfare, Athena is about war strategies and finesse, while Mars took up some of Athena's elements that he kinda differs out than Ares. If the original myth can do this, why the hell not for the Pantheon?
  • Be creative! If you need some time to work out your potential deity's profile, use the Pending Gods or Pending Gods 2 page to get help. Incomplete and/or low-quality entries are more likely to get deleted or replaced.
  • When writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. See also the Rules section. Especially the 1st bullet point.
  • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name.
  • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it's well advised not to abuse them. Aside from introducing too many niche concepts, there are still chances for new tropes related to your chosen deity's title to be launched through YKTTW...
    • Additionally however, the only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. IE: Their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they're closely associated with In-Universe, or both (example: Gangplank and his oranges).
  • Maximum number of tropes what a god should have is three, but don't try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused.
  • Some series will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps, as well. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it's because they're a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they're connected to another deity in their respective canon.
  • As far as deities from actual mythologies (Greco-Roman, Norse, Japanese, etc.) are concerned, try not to replicate the default myths about their characters and use a fictional counterpart instead. In other words, if you want to use the Greek/Roman god Ares/Mars, you can't add him as the "God of War", but you can use him as part of another trope as long as it's a different version of him. For example:
    • Zeus, while having elements of his persona from Classical Mythology, draws more from his portrayal in the God of War Series.
    • Thor and Loki's Pantheon portrayals are influenced heavily by their appearances in their Marvel Comics series.
    • Amaterasu is a woman in her Japanese mythology portrayal, but her Pantheon counterpart is the dog goddess from Ōkami.
  • Don't depend too much on the hype/meme train, don't just jump onto that train willy-nilly in order to put on some events or entry in the Pantheon. It might not last very long or represent the trope best. This is Trope Pantheons, not Trope Hype Train!
  • Unless the character proposed is specifically from the Abridged version, the character should represent the tropes in their canon selves. If they also happen to possess the trait of the Abridged self, good! But otherwise, get the abridged stuff onto just the flavor texts.
  • To prevent any surprising need to rework profiles due to new development, please restrain from ascending gods from a series before the thing is either released or for longer-running series, there is a good enough of a break from story. This also applies to already existing series if there is a new thing coming out.
  • Please be sure to ask in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you don't waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
    • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else.
  • It is much more recommended to word the title like "God of X" instead of "The God that Xs". This will give off the vibe the God actually ruled over that trope instead of just 'did X', giving more credentials to how it's the best example of the trope.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power.
    • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
    • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
    • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
    • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
    • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
    • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Deity Template
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Potential House:
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity. This doesn't always have to be a representation of power, but it can also represent influence in the Pantheon.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Song that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician, this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D.
  • Gender: For Pokémon deities only. Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
  • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
  • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies.
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes.
  • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that have various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.) other than allies, rivals, or enemies.
  • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Pokémon.
  • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
  • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or find pitiable.
  • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by, regardless of alignment.
  • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.

Oshawott, God of Playful Otters (the Sea Otter Pokémon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/501oshawott.png
(* Decided to become Hermione Granger's partner due to her patronus being another Playful Otter. Considering Harry Potter's partner Charizard is weak to water, they can have the upper hand in battles.)

(* Became partners with Chosokabe Motochika considering he's already a little familiar with him (albeit he looked a little different.) . The two like to practice and ride on Motochika's boat.)

I have both Dedenne and Chibi-robo for Power Cord Tail (I suggested Chibi-robo first and started working on it, but someone add Dedenne later), which one is a better choice? Also I think the pokemon partnership page needs to add more partnerships on it. I wrote the entries for whoever becomes Oshawott's partner.

@ Serge: No mention of him staying away from the more manipulative folk in the Pantheon considering the Gambit Pileup and all? Figured that one was enough already.

Re-ascension for these three. I used separate pictures rather than the merged one since that photo makes it hard to see them in my opinion. Let me know what I should add. I have a few ideas on some interactions in mind but I'm still working on writing them.

  • In a place as active as the Pantheon, there's bound to be more than a few things that tend to get glossed over in the chaos, and it actually took the creation of the House of Naming for deities to notice that Akantor, Ukanlos, and Odibatorasu's temples were starting to fall into disrepair (not that they used them anyways), and that the remote areas the three Flying Wyverns were normally located have become silent and unused. Many took it as a sign that the three have lost interest in the Pantheon and their divine titles. After enough time has passed, it seemed as though their suspicions were confirmed and went in to bulldoze their temple and make use of the territory they once inhabited for other purposes. While the enlisted mix of deities and Mooks were successful in doing the former, they were in for a rude awakening when they found the tenants were still there. Some decided to tell them it was already too late for them to reaffirm their presence and tried to kick them out, having already gotten rid of their temples. They responded in kind and had made their way to the Court of Gods, causing their fair share of destruction in the process. While met with heavy resistance, especially by the Monster Hunters, the Court of Gods did get their message written in ice, sand, and indentations on the surrounding areas and allowed them to stay much to some of the reinforcements ire. Satisfied, they made their return to their respective biomes, the House of Fire & Electricity for Akantor, the House of Water & Ice for Ukanlos, and the House of Earth & Metal for Odibatorasu. The Triple Walls are here to stay.
  • They ascended and re-ascended to the Pantheon as the Gods of Non Indicative Names due to the fact that they're in the Flying wyvern classification. Now, the most recognizable monsters are of the Flying Wyvern category — every aspiring Hunter's "baptism of fire", so to speak. They are unofficially divided into two subtypes: "True", which are, for the majority, bipedal that use their wings to fly, and "Pseudo-", which usually use their wing-arms as forearms instead. These three however, are the only "Flying" Wyverns to lack any ability to fly whatsoever, as even the Monoblos, Diablos, Basarios and Gravios have the ability to fly. Many believe these three are actually Elder Dragons that were incorrectly classified, though the Monster Hunters gave an explanation as while they originally qualified as Elder Dragons, The Guild simply discovered their distant ancestry to other Flying Wyverns... Despite the fact that they've long since dropped wings down their evolutionary line, leaving behind only nubs that are wings in the vestigial sense, something no other Flying Wyvern has. Some criticized if they go with that line of classification, why not just name the class "Winged Wyverns" to begin with. The Monster Hunters rebutted: "It just stuck in the same way Elder Dragon stuck".
  • These three were previously seen as 'Elder Dragons' for a reason. Besides their affects on the environment whether it's making the very land around them shift up and down like with Akantor and Ukanlos or even shaping an entire desert into what it is today like with Odibatorasu, they are all considerable threats.
    • Akantor has giant fangs in addition to other sharp teeth, which can deliver powerful bites and weaken defenses if the victim wasn't finished already. While ironically not possessing elements befitting its on hand like its other non-flying wyverns, its very roars compensate for this. Not only are they loud enough to do physical harm and even cause some miniature eruptions of lava, but it can condense it into a beam known to many as the Sonic Blast. Unsurprisingly, it's not liked by anyone who are sensitive to sound like Daredevil given that they have it much, much worse.
    • Ukanlos' chin is shaped like a spade, allowing to dig up chunks of snow and ice from underneath its opponents and can breath an icy beam. And speaking of digging it uses a more offensive and controlled version of it than its fellow flightless wyverns, acting more like a giant armored land shark rather than just a way to create some distance.
    • Odibatorasu utilizes sand. Lots and lots of sand, of which it can manipulate like causing large sandstorms or creating sand pillars around itself by simply roaring or just digging through it almost replicating swimming. And on its back lies a cannon which fires, if you couldn't guess already, sand projectiles in addition to the beam of sand from its mouth. If one doesn't like sandnote  it's likely you won't like Odi as well.
  • They have managed to avoid to avoid being bent to the will of Miraak by virtue of simply not being in the House of Dragons during his terrible resurrection, and even then that was during a time where they were simply "not at home". He has his sights on them now that he's not only banned from the House he just attacked, but also was notified that they indeed exist here in the Pantheon. He has the same problems though, he's not exactly a popular god and the various deities nearby are enough to hound on him before the Dovahkiin and Paarthurnax come on by as well, not that it has stopped him from trying anyways. There were some times where he did manage to get to the three and control them, but none of them allowed him to fully realize their potential. Obviously, they don't like him as much as anyone, and that same dislike extends to Bowser considering he tried similar things to them like what he did with the Ruined Dragon.
    • Surprisingly have already a slightly better relationship with the Dragonborn despite their occasional fights due to one of them just so happening to threaten something thanks to their influence on the environment. At the very least Paarthurnax is there to keep the peace between the two, in that they're not at each other's throats completely. They have managed to hear out the old dragon when it comes to the damage the three can cause and the attacks have lessened as a result, something that surprised even the Monster Hunters given that all of them are very aggressive.

The Dealer, God of Deckbuilding Games

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/d9f248b7_23ca_408c_b7d8_624a42798482.jpg
  • Greater God (briefly demoted to Intermediate God levels after his first defeat)
  • Symbol: His deck, or a throng of cards floating around himself
  • Theme Song: Welcome To The Game or Hand of Fate
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Ambiguously Human, Big Bad In The First Game And Big Good In The Sequel, Game Master, Ambiguous Fourth Wall Breaking, Takes His Game of Life And Death Seriously, The Snark Knight, Time Abyss, Smug Snake, Nicer In The Sequel, Video Games and Fate, Graceful Loser, You Kill It, You Bought It (Maybe), Stealth Mentor, Sixth Ranger for the Second Player
  • Domain(s): Life and Death, Cards, Decks, Fate
  • Herald: The second Player (possible successor)
  • Followers: Dominion monarchs, the Reigns king, the realms of Vigil, Cerberus Engine Games
  • Allies: Harth Stonebrew
  • Enemies: All purgers of magic, Amon
  • Respected by: Yahtzee
  • When it comes to deckbuilding games, there are certainly better examples than Hand of Fate. Alas, one of the other prerequisites to earn a spot in the Pantheon is distinct character, and the search for a deity to represent the genre led to the Court nominating the Dealer after the end of the second game whether he managed to reinstate himself, or if he allowed the second Player to take the mantle. Intrigued with what the Pantheon has to offer, the Dealer accepted the invitation.
  • The Dealer is a mysterious individual. He hosts the Game of Life and Death in his temple, where adventurers who face him must re-live encounters from their past, and fight the deadliest monsters in his service, though they're usually comprised of bandits, skeletons, giant rats, and lizard folk (though that's only in his first game). The deck-building part comes from the equipment and encounter cards (and in the sequel, a companion and starting supplies) one may put in their deck before each game, all earned after earning tokens from the Dealer for meeting certain conditions. It's a pretty long game to play, though the reward (since wagering his position is not advisable or even possible here, he's had to create one such system) can be worth it.
    • In account of how the Pantheon works, though, he had to revise his game (though not a complete overhaul, thankfully), balance the "mechanics", and has allowed for three variants.
      • First is the "vanilla" variant that his first Player Kallas played against him, complete with Wildcard "DLC" where one can choose different adventurers with varying pros and cons.
      • Second is the "vanilla" variant that his second Player played with different mechanics and rules. Several complaints on the "The Lovers" Escort Mission however forced him to "nerf" the difficulty, making it a little more manageable. He's also had to balance the game some more after complaints of most of the stages (especially the dice) being all but Luck Based Missions with skill being a non-factor, as well as a better "search system" for his encounter cards.
      • The third variant is based on the current player's own life and has appropriated encounter and equipment (and companion) cards, though the richness of their adventure/life story determines the difficulty, play length, and final reward (e.g. someone like Geralt or Shepard would have more to experience than someone like Red or Oboromaru), and it can mainly be a version of either of the first two variants. As his game has a lot of combat, he turns down pacifists from playing this variant, which he otherwise recommends the most to everybody who visits.
      • Additionally, he's been offered means to "save" whatever progress his (now many) players have made, so that there'll be little hassle for changing up between players' progress. Also, since there's only one of him and he's shown no ability to multiply himself, only one player can play at a time.
  • Given his world fell under a threat to outlaw all magic (though they turned a blind eye for one day of the year) and purge magical species by the first Player Kallas (except hired necromancers), the Dealer loathes those who go to such extents.
    • The purge Kallas mandated had also driven the ratmen to near-extinction, while the lizardmen were completely wiped out, though dwarves and gnomes were spared from persecution for some reason, mainly because the former were simply too boring and the reasons regarding the latter are unknown.
  • The dealer isn't a very social person, and prefers traveling alone, but he will go with others if he has to.
    • When he does travel long distances sometimes (if it's not within walking distance), it's usually in a caravan big enough for a player to play his game with him. It's also warded with spells that prevent it from drawing attention from raiders.
    • One of the few he has repsect for is Harth Stonebrew, who also hosts a deckbuilding game like him, but also has this weird charismatic charm (or perhaps threat of power) that allows a lot of really evil people to behave in his tavern. This includes the likes of Garrosh, Guldan, Jaraxxus, Ragnaros, and so on. On rare evenings, he even visits the inn for a drink and maybe even a game or two.
  • In regards to the Dealer's power outside the table, assuming what Kallas has performed as the holder of the Game of Life and Death can be done by him too, he can summon a squadron of Mooks from the Monster cards he's crafted thus far (Dust [bandits], Skulls [skeletons], Plague [ratmen], Scales [lizardmen], Steel [imperials], Frost [northern barbarians], another Plague [Corrupted], and Greed [thieves]), he can also launch an orb of light for damage, conjure a barrier of magic, create searing lines on any surface, and set off small magical explosions anywhere within his vision. There can potentially be more.
  • Having experienced the Corrupted, and having been afflicted with it for a time, he has particular disdain for zombie plagues, especially if they're from the land rather than a mere virus with a Patient Zero.
  • For some reason, there are those who compare the Dealer to the Merchant in appearance and attitude. The Dealer for his part doesn't see how that is so.
  • Despite its many flaws, Yahtzee likes the Dealer's game, at least the second variant. The Dealer doesn't like being called an "ugly nun" though.
  • Has respect for few rules (aside from those that make his game), and among them is to treat with respect those who feed you.
  • Has contempt for nobles who expect heroes to rescue them when overwhelmed.
  • Has little love for assassins (and less for "criminal guilds"note ), even the Brotherhood led by Ezio Auditore. That said, he admits they're useful in what they do.
  • Has contempt for fortunetellers, especially after he's needed to pose as one before to earn some coin.
  • Has met spirits, gods, and even his world's death, and has no respect for any of them. He still doesn't now, and himself being a god now doesn't help either.

Kazuya, God of Settling On One Of The Multiple Endings (The Hero, The First Hero, First Champion, Sho, Futsuo, Adam)

  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: His COMP
  • Theme Song: Ruins
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Demon Tamer, Badass Normal, Ambadassador, Destroying All His Opposition To Save The World, Heroes Prefer Swords But Uses Guns Too, Hurting Hero, Terrible Singer, Forced To Kill His Friends, Living Legend, Adapting Really Quickly, Zero Magic Potential, One-Man Army, Killed In An Assassination That Was Then Made To Look Like A Cave-In
  • Domain(s): Demons, Neutral
  • Heralds: Pascal (his pet dog/Cerberus), the Heroinenote
  • Allies: Stephen, Mido (as his former herald), Aleph, Flynn, Naoki Kashima/The Demi-Fiend, Kazuya Minegishi, Hibiki Kuze, Raidou Kuzunoha, Isabeau, Burroughs
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: the Imperium of Man
  • Enemies: YHVH, Lucifer, The White, Chiaki Hayasaka, Isamu Nitta and Hikawa, the Divine Powers, Chakravartin, The Administrators, Mem Aleph, Malthael, Castlevania!Satan
  • Pities: Erik Lensherr/Magneto
  • Conflicting Opinion: Dagda and Nanashi
  • The thing about a game with multiple endings is that if it gets a sequel, one of the endings (or none of them) has to become canon. In the search for a candidate, Stephen immediately nominated the first of his Messiahs, simply known as the Hero, but assigned the name Kazuya for easy calling. And bringing him over was simple since he was already in the Pantheon as Mido's herald (for whatever reason).
  • As a present for his ascension, Stephen upgraded his COMP one last time: he no longer needs to keep collecting Magnetite to sustain demons he summons, though he does still dismiss them when he's not fighting, and collects and keeps some around for bribing demons with. This is on top of being able to summon up to five demons at once (as opposed to the Demi-Fiend's, Flynn's, Isabeau's, and Nanashi's three).
  • Never knew his father, who had left him before he was able to tell what was going on around him. That is why he doesn’t really know what having a father is like and his longing for a father figure is unusually strong. Presumably, this is related to his concern about demons. Since he had very few opportunities to interact with his father, it can be said that this resulted in his interest in the power of demons, in other words, the power associated with a father.
  • Having lost his own to a demon who impersonated her when he got home, Kazuya has a soft spot for those who lost their mothers (unless of course it was of their own conscious doing).
  • Apparently, there was an old story (now dead) called 20XX that talks about what happens after Kazuya sided with Law.
  • While without any means of using magic, Kazuya can get around this by sword fusion, and thanks to the Diamond Realm DLC, he's inhereited a few abilities (though still Physical) such as Lightspeed Slash, Mist Rush, Charge, and Morale Boost, a resistance to physical and gun attacks, and an invulnerability to Light and Dark attacks.
  • Probably due to how he was forced to be omnicidal in his fight for Neutrality, Kazuya isn't as immediately opposing of Dagda. After everything he's been through, removing all divinities and restarting humanity anew has its appeal. That said, now that he's no longer alone in the fight for humanity, he's not ready to have the slate wiped clean right now.
  • Wary of all angelic deities along with Malthael and Castlevania!Satan because they remind him of his efforts to rebuild the world into a Neutral one ruined by Law, and the Mutants and Gaeans who helped him ostracized and kicked down into Makai. There's also the fact that Pascal/Cerberus and Madam, who carried on what was left of his legacy in Valhalla, got killed and destroyed by Abaddon after he was deceived by the Archangels that he would be restored to Angelhood. Thankfully, the weak Mutants who aren't able to defend themselves were taken in and protected by Lucifer in Makai.
    • Speaking of Mutants, he sort of understands why Magneto does what he does for mutantkind. That said, he'd prefer to find a peacful solution.
  • As for the God-Emperor of Mankind and his Imperium, to say he's horrified with what it's become in order to survive the Chaos Gods, Necrons, Orks, and all the rest would be the understatement of the century. As a result, he finds it difficult to work with them.
  • Wants to remind folks not to take the bullet for a "demon tamer" who has time to summon a demon who can take the hit for them. He doesn't want a repeat of the Law Hero's Senseless Sacrifice.
  • Doesn't like Hikawa and the Demi-Fiend's former friends, finding all of their Reasons repulsive. Chiaki in particular he feels is actually worse than the Chaos Hero. While the weak dying out was just a side-effect of his goal, the weak being exterminated is her goal.

Mitsuki Hokuto has ascended!

Yeah, I know. I was late to announce this. That's because I was busy with some errands back home.

Also, I would like permission to add Mitsuki as an ally to Asuka please, now that she has ascended.

So is Hokuto the only other character from Street Fighter EX ascended?

Anyway, here is an update on Skullomania. Looking for potential skellebuddies

Skullomania, God of Skeleton Motifs (Saburo Nishikoyama)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/skullomania_2.jpg
  • Potential House: Symbolism
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: An "S" and his skelleton suit
  • Theme Song: Amusementive Crime
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Portfolio: Goofy but Pretty Competent, Calling Your Attacks, Cool Mask, Dance Battler, Dark Is Not Evil, Large Ham, Wrestler in All of Us
  • Domains: Heroes, Work, Vigilantism, Good, Skeleton, Fighting
  • Allies: Ryu, Ken Masters, Chun-Li, Sakura Kasugano, All Ascended Toku Heroes (Special mention to Hayato Ichimonji and Shotaro Hidari and Philip)
  • Enemies: M. Bison, The House of Villains
  • Saburo Nishikoyama was a third-rate salaryman that struggled with his work to try and support his family and he had to take additional jobs just to make the cut. One day he performed an act dressed up as a superhero at a departmen store and after that was done, a hidden passion of his awakened. He kept the suit and from that point onwards, the vigilante superhero Skullomania was born, seeking to free the world from all evil and to square off against the top martial artist in existence.
  • After ascending, he loudly proclaimed in front of a big crowd that he would liberate the pantheon of all evil and he has his eyes set in the House of Villains. Considering his silly and hamtastic demeanor, not many deities took him seriously but then he demonstrated to be a competent combatant and so his reputation has increased overtime.
  • Skullomania takes some cues from Tokusatsu superheroes, his biggest inspiration is the first Kamen Rider Hayato Ichimonji, a man who Skullomania has nothing but respect, he even challenged him to a few rounds and the skeleton man held his own against the legendary Kamen Rider. However, the biggest surprise was that two other Kamen Rider deities, Shotaro and Philip, confused him for his mentor Kamen Rider Skull who Skullomania is said to resemble a lot. What gave away that he wasn't their mentor was that he is a lot more serious and calm, something that can't be said for Skullomania.

@faso: Since you refuse to make a new tab for groups in the database, you have driven me to create my own. And given just how many there are, I think you were right.

To the rest of you, what is this? It's a database for naming all the members in all ascended groups (not to be confused with the Groups page) in the Pantheon. Sometimes, a name you're looking for is not found in the database, or at least not the one you're looking for.

  • One example of such a situation and a reason why I made this: the only Takumi you can find in the regular database is Mr. Inui a.k.a. Kamen Rider Faiz, yet there's one other by the same name; you just can't find him since he's under Hoshido Royal Siblings.
  • Another reason: in the "old" days, some of the PreCures had their own profiles and the same goes for the Kamen Rider Club, but years later later they've been reworked into their groups, you discover that you can't find them and for some reason you don't think of searching the group. Well, this database has their names and their corresponding group.

Any approvals?

NOTE: So far, it's only open for comments.

On a different note: can this be possible interaction material between the Muppets and the Doctor?

@CLOVIS: .... You don't know their relations? Isn't that right in Aurelion Sol's profile? The last time Aurelion Sol went into Runeterra, he got tricked into servitude/slavery by Pantheon (by that time inhabiting a female) to build up the Targon forces (admittedly to prepare for the Void invasion)... but since Aurelion doesn't like being enslaved, he eventually ruins Pantheon's plan and goes away. Safe to say that amongst the Targon Aspects, Pantheon is pretty high on Aurelion's shit list.

.... Seriously, I have to question. Do you even play League or got as far as Aurelion Sol, or at least to understand him? How in the hell do you think you're qualified to make a profile about him in any case you don't even play his game?

Sorry, it can come off kind of harsh. But your response just made me wonder.

  • Conflicting Opinions: Bigby Wolf, Snow White (Both from the Fables fame)
  • Once upon a girl, there was an 8-year-old girl by the name of Gertrude, who wished she could be taken away to a fantasy world full of joy and cheer. Thankfully, her wish came true and all she had to do was let go of her real life...
  • She first became aware of her ascension when during a day at work she received an e-mail detailing that she was approved for a place much more flexible with how long you want to stay and exciting than Fairyland and telling her how to get there by walking through her closet. Given how her current job was working in a cubicle for Mr. Keys and how annoying he and the other people there were to her, she decided to at least give it a shot, if only to find out how these people know about her and her long trip to Fairyland.
    • When first arriving into the Pantheon, she was shocked to find out that she was once more a kid surrounded by the Court Of the Gods, and quickly demanded to find out what was going on. The Gods there responded saying that they were watching over Gertrude’s adventure through Fairyland and were impressed with the fact that she managed to finally go back home after so long, that they decided to invite her into the Pantheon, which they assured her was very different and nicer than Fairyland, stating the differences being that Gertrude was able to change from her child or adult form at any time in the Pantheon, get actual help from other people without any hints or riddles blocking her way, and finally, and most importantly to her, that she can enter and leave the Pantheon as she pleases. While Gertrude was immensely grateful for the fact she actually had options for once, she did, however, request one final thing; that her pal Larry the Fly would be here to help her out. Sure enough, the Court Of The Gods helped her get him here as her herald. Their reunion was a mixture of genuine relief and joy seeing each other again and snark and banter saying that they just can’t get rid of each other.
  • While she was originally a battle-hungry powerhouse, she did mellow out a bit after meeting a Loony Fan of her who finally made her realize just how deranged she got after being stuck in Fairyland. Her efforts to improve only doubled after being stuck in and escaping a personal Hell of her reliving her trip to Fairyland to the point that after essentially getting Dark Cloudia on the ropes, she decided to spare her and apologize for everything she did during her stay in Fairyland.
    • A word to the wise; just because she is trying to live a better life doesn't mean she is growing soft. Her final act before leaving Fairyland was threatening to kill the entire Council Of Fairyland if they tried to back out of their promise to send her home after all. As such, extreme caution is still advised if one wants to antagonize here, especially after she and Larry found out that Death Is a Slap on the Wrist here, meaning that Gertrude is more likely to start a fight if she and Larry feel like it may be in their best interest. This isn't even mentioning the fact that she still has her light powers from having and never giving back the Heart Of Fairyland with the potential of getting back her dark powers from Darketh Deaddeath.
  • She was surprised to find that there were plenty of other people that got trapped in another realm against their will. She respects Chihiro and Coraline for not only escaping their other worlds but also becoming better people because of it. While also respecting what Miaka went through, she did have a good laugh upon hearing her incident with the emperor and how she felt like it mirrored how she went through Fairyland a bit. On the other hand, she shows respect for Eddie Riggs, Philip J. Fry, Sora, and Shiro for after getting trapped in another world making it work and enjoying their new home. She is also impressed with The Human Child not only escaping the Underground but also freeing the other monsters as well. She is currently planning on creating a group dedicated to those that were Trapped in Another World and hated it like her.
    • Out of all the people though, she has the most respect for Yuri the fusion duelist for how they both went on a similar adventure, with Gertrude and Yuri axing off members of the universe they were a part of and being psychopathic about it and even mellowing out as their journey came to a close. They tend to hang out a lot while sometimes targeting those that they view as enemies and causing havoc with Yuri' Starve Venom Fusion Dragon.
  • Many a pacifist and honorable warriors were proud of Gertrude for this development, but surprisingly, none more than Samurai Jack. He knows just how it is to be stuck in a world you aren't familiar with and feel like someone is keeping you there against your will. There was also the fact that one of her attempts at reforming were acting like Samurai Jack while trying to return a baby to its mother. She did have to kill the army after they threw shurikens right at her and cut her body and the baby just got eaten by the mother they returned the baby to, but Jack can at least appreciate the effort. Even if she still insists on calling him a ninja (be it her just not understanding the difference between ninja and samurai even after Larry explained it to her, a force of habit or just for fun, and the fact that Jack may actually be a Ronin only complicates matters further), the two are on decent terms with each other, with Jack even pointing Gertrude towards the Grand United Alliance of Good's Token Evil Teammates if she wants to meet more people like her who tried to do good but failed in one way or another. She was thankful for his words but declined the invitation...for now.
  • As a troubled girl who became Crazy Awesome in return for her childhood torment, she ended up crossing paths with Peacock, who was immediately floored with how similar they are, even having their own flying friend, with Peacock having Avery while Gertrude has Larry. Through Peacock, she met up with Tiny Tina who quickly became friends with Gertrude, bonding over their past and how unique their vocabulary is. They can often be seen joining forces to try and take down whoever is bothering one of them, brushing up on their fighting with each other or just pulling pranks and messing around.
    • Dokuro seemed to be enthusiastic about Gertrude trying to turn her life around, and offered to show her a way she can help out. Said way was to bash Sakura's skull in whenever he did something that can be seen as even remotely sexual. Even if Gertrude thinks Dokuro is off her rocker she does respect how brutal and violent she can be.
      • Mandy quickly took notice of a little girl newcomer who could threaten her title as the Enfant Terrible. Gertrude responded by saying she has no plans for that but she won't hesitate to lob Mandy's head off she tries to cause trouble for her. The two have since been rivals after their encounter.
  • Even if she is trying to turn a new leaf, she still is awestruck by how violent some deities can be. As such, she has expressed admiration for the house of Slaughter and their ways of axing people off but has saved the most respect for Naughty Bear, a teddy bear who she viewed as unjustly mocked and made fun of for his whole life and rightfully took matters into his own hands. Given how Death Is a Slap on the Wrist for the citizens of Perfection Island, Larry can't really complain that much. Meanwhile Naughty is just happy to make another genuine friend, whom even had some experience of being hounded by narrators, reminding him of his Evil Brit narrator, not that he minds him; just thought that it was an interesting connection. Thankfully, Gertrude can't hear Naughty Bear's narrator.
    • She CAN, however, hear the Narrator from the house of Narrative. She tried to ignore him with Larry's advice to just leave him be for a bit, but after he started to verbally chew her out for not following his story, Larry decided to give Gertrude an ax to try and chop her way to him. A few minutes later, parts of the house came falling down as Gertrude loudly declared that she can't be controlled by any narrator. This resulted in her getting banned from the house; not that she minded. Any distance between her and any narrator was positive in her book.
  • The one person here that Gertrude openly pities is Conker The Squirrel. She knows just how awful it is to end up in an unfamiliar world while trying to leave only to be more and more stuck there. She even remembers being the queen of Fairyland for a bit even if that ended badly for everyone just as Conker is stuck as King of all the land. They can be seen sharing a drink with Gertrude giving Conker advice like doing a terrible job as the king to get fired or to be lucky as home may not be as great as he remembers, recalling her childhood once she came back home was wonderful until she became an adult stuck in a dead-end job. Conker still seems deadset on returning home and claims that throwing the job as the king would just end with him getting executed but appreciates her pity and advice regardless.
  • One night, after getting drunk with Conker, she woke up within the house of Happiness. Unfortunately, she forgot she ascended to the Pantheon and instantly thought she was back in Fairyland. This just caused her to freak out and start attacking anyone and anything on sight which cursing in her own unique way. Given how she was in her kid form, it took a bit of convincing for her newly found friends and Larry that she was okay and not in Fairyland. After coming through and suffering from her hangover, she sheepishly apologized to the house after being encouraged to do some from Larry, before banning herself from there. The members there hold no hard feelings but are sad that such a place that should be joyful ended up being a place where Gertrude is reminded of her painful past.
  • Due to how violent she was in a place called "Fairyland", she ended up being opposed by a good number of fairytale deities. While Gertrude does her best to avoid being around a majority of them, she does make a effort to fight against Bloody Mary, due to how distasteful she finds her to be. Thanks to how vile Bloody Mary is, Larry has no qualms about Gertrude getting violent with her, but does prefer it when Bloody Mary ends up crossing their path and not the other way around.
    • Bigby Wolf and Snow White are well aware of her past, but otherwise, have actually followed a live and let live policy with her. The fact that Gertrude is more than willing and capable of tangling with Bloody Mary also scored a few points in their books. Even if Bigby seemed to parrot Larry's advice of waiting to strike against Bloody Mary instead of walking into something that may or may not be a trap she set up for her, he still ended their meeting by telling her that she is not as bad as she thinks she is.
    • Jiminy Cricket was happy to see Gertrude given how she finally realized she needed to follow her conscience, aka Larry. Even if she still has some trouble listening to him from time to time still, she is making a genuine effort to get his advice and listen to it and is quick to make him realize how thankful she is for his help.
    • One of the more curious people Gertrude met was Alice Liddell, given how she is kind of similar to her with how they both ended up in strange weird places by falling into holes. However, the most shocking thing to her was how Alice has two very different sides to her, with her normal reminding Gertrude of the time when she became a good girl after touching the balls of redemption (don't ask), while her dark form reminded Gertrude a bit of herself before her redemption, even if she isn't as bad as Gertrude was. Regardless, she still is on decent enough tabs with her.
    • Grimm quickly took notice of her presence, growing impressed with how much damage she did to Fairyland on her pursuit back home. Even if Gertrude decided the best course of action for her, in the end, was to tone down her violence, he still enjoys the fact that she still proudly declares she hasn't gone soft and is just as powerful as ever. While the once lost girl would like to distance herself from Grimm, if she ever gets stuck in Fairyland again with everyone there trying to keep her there, she won't hesitate to call him over.
  • While walking around the Pantheon, she ended up getting knocked out by a sneak attack and taken away. Thankfully, Larry the Fly managed to evade getting caught as he followed her kidnapper into the hideout for the Grand United Alliance of Evil, namely, The Liebertarian Movement, where he spied on Joker, Johan and Junko surrounding a barely conscious Gertrude as they tried to trick her into thinking she was still stuck in Fairyland, but Hansel and Gretel, who were also stuck there, know a violent way out. Larry quickly warned Gertrude's allies what was happening and quickly planned to intercept her. It took everyone of Gertrude's allies and the help of Kenzo to help free Gertrude of her corruption, but they were eventually able to do so, albeit with a couple casualties along the way. Upon realizing what was happening, Gertrude claimed her trusty axe from Larry's hat (who was more than willing to let her go kill crazy given what they did to her) and lobbed off Hansel and Gretel's heads, rallied a team of herself, Larry, Peacock, Dokuro, Tiny Tina and Naughty Bear before storming The Liebertarian Movement's headquarters and showing them just how dangerous corrupting people into being mindless killers can be with their fancy speech not affecting them.
  • Sick of her old job stuck in a cubicle, she is more than interested in all the jobs listed in the house of Profession, ready to try out any job she sees fit. Even if she did find a job however, she isn't interested in moving here permanently; she still wants to see her real world and still loves the freedom and choice the Pantheon gives her, but there is nothing wrong in her eyes in seeking out a much more fun job.

[up] Ah, I guess I should agree with you on that one. But is Kotori fit for Satellite Love Interest, though? She always stick by Yuma even during times of distress, even though she also interacted with other characters. Or she could also take Patient Childhood Love Interest from Houki and Lingyin, but that is just a suggestion.

[up] If you want, go for Satellite Love Interest, i personally can't come up with a suggestion myself.

So to just drop pretences, i'm considering using Be the Ball for Hammond/Wrecking Ball a month from now. That or Translator Buddy

@ Muundeis: Kotori could have Satellite Love Interest while Childhood Friend Romance and Patient Childhood Love Interest could be split between Houki and Lingyin. That's my opinion.

@ Nightelf: I still think Harry Potter should remain as Charizard's partner.

But man, has really had a bit of Writer's Block these past few days. Any new progress have been kinda slow on Mercurius and the Throne. Though I managed to finish the basic trivia for Tenma Yato, he still has a long way to go before he is ready.
