Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • When writing a profile, take note of the following:
    • Gods cannot be followers or high priests for obvious reasons. The 'gods' have ascended meaning there is no need for said character to be a follower of another if they have ascended.
    • No hype profiles, please. 'Hype Profiles' are profiles that have been made out of ongoing events and have not been around for a long time. This creates 'hype' due to popularity and certain elements either through certain scenes, memes, dramatic acting or considered overly awesome. They are not bad tropes but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time)
      • You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • When posting in the forum, take note of the following:
    • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
    • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
      • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
      • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
      • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to The Great Treasury or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Great Treasury or Dominions.
    • Do not repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes have not been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.
    • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but do not make the mistake of making profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
    • Tropers new to the Pantheon are barred from approving or downvoting profiles until they have ascended at least two profiles.
    • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
    • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
    • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you are only given three chances to find a particular trope for them. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
      • On a related note, even if a character does have a free trope being suggested, there is still a limit of three attempts for suggesting that character for that trope. If no one responds to that certain proposal after being posted three times, then it will get to the point where the idea will be seen as being shoehorned into the Pantheon. In addition, the idea needs to be considered acceptable and approved because they are good, not for the sake of pitying others because no one is responding to their idea.
  • When posting Pantheon related stuff to the wiki, take note of the following:
    • Do not put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, do not do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, inform the forum and use the cutlist. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good and Evil Colors.
    • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what is currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction, this is a fictional Pantheon after all.
    • To add a Pantheon page for a certain work, 4 or more characters coming from the same series/franchise should be ascended before adding the page. For Creator specific pages, 4 deities coming from the same creator and 2 individual work pages coming from the same creator is the minimum to warrant a page.
    • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:

  • Preparing to write:
    • First thing to do before present a profile is to go to the Trope Pantheons discussion thread. In the forums, you must discuss with other users on adding ideas and seek their approval with sound reasoning. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread by either asking for help and those interested asking if they can help. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted and those who violate those rules by adding Pantheon content without discussion will get reported to the mods.
    • If you feel the need to remove a character for some reason (poor quality, outdated titles, etcetera) and replace him/her with another or outright rework, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. Use good reasoning to see if your idea can easily replace the character present without drawing out your statement or giving too ambiguous claims most do not understand.
    • Please be sure to consult others in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you do not waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
      • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else. Check the Related tab on the top of a page to see if a trope or character has been reserved by a user.
    • If, for whatever reason, you are writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. Do not try to make the editing seem too meta (self-referential) and use the aformentioned creativity to create hypothetical scenarios towards fictional characters.
  • When writing a profile for a character, here are a few things to note:
    • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name (can be reversed if it is Eastern ordered). For a group, if there is no official name for them all list down all their names by order of relevance or (if too long to list) title them as Insert Name Here Main Characters or some other identifiable title along the same lines.
    • The maximum number of tropes that a god can have is two, but do not try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused either because said character represents their trope choice very well alongside the first trope. It is still generally encouraged to only have one trope.
    • A trope can only belong to one profile at a time. The only time two profiles can share a trope is if there are explicit variations listed in the trope page proper (e.g. Muscle Angst is held by both Biscuit Krueger and Chihiro Fujisaki as the former represents "Too Much Muscle" and the latter represents "Not Enough Muscle")
    • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this person has spots in other House as well. Up to 2 places can be made for a deity, with the sole exceptions being those at the Main House to highlight those characters’ importance to the Pantheon’s lore.
    • For a character's theme song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name through research. Most importantly, it has to be part their series’ official soundtracks from media. Do not list songs that are made by fans or outside sources. If they were not specifically used as music for that specific character, then they do not count. Furthermore, it has to be a general theme specifically made for that characters’ appearances, not some generic music that plays for many other instances not related to the character in question.
    • For images, when adding an image for your chosen character, it is highly recommended to use a stylized image that embodies the character or renders that also highlights a character’s behavior (such as cool poses). Most images should be from the main adaptations of the character, unless the images from the other media are of a higher quality than the adaptation. Unless it is needed, do not use fanart for images. If you are, please attribute to the original artist. Due to the website’s dark mode, removing white backgrounds from an image is paramount. This website is suggested to do the background removal. If an image you have takes up too much bytes, it is suggestible to use this site to reduce the byte size. If the byte is still too big, put the compressed image to other sites (or even the same one) to compress even further. Use wikias to look for better images, as even wikias for the series might not contain good official images.
    • Creativity is your friend. While it is not recommended to get too ditzy at your ideas, it is best that when writing a profile for a certain character, do you think of capable scenarios between X and Y. Tip: do not use shallow examples (X wields a sword and Y wields one too) and try to think of relationships that makes sense (i.e those characters that are shout-outs for another).
  • Pantheon Content:
    • Some series or genres will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps to make you not look like a shill per say. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it is because they are a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they are connected to another deity in their respective canon.
      • As far as deities from actual mythologies, there is generally expectation to build the profiles off interactions from fictional portrays rather than basing it entire from the actual myth. Therefore, a mythological deity should be more of a Composite Character whose main identity is from the actual myth.
    • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it is well advised not to abuse them. The only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unnecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. (i.e their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they are closely associated with In-Universe, or both).
    • For Dominions and Treasures profiles, always consider what made those places/objects popular in the first place. Were they plot-important, identifiable imagery or have a unique aspect of it? Do not just bring regular objects under the basis of following a certain canon.
  • For Profile Standards:
    • Flavor text is used to describe certain things about a character, place or object. To avoid short ones, it is recommended to write flavor text with 4-7 sentences that can fill around 2 lines each. Be warned that adding too many sentences does not equal good flavor text as it is not an essay of sorts (unless words are substantial and do add to the overall line).
    • Character Profiles of a certain person should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 7 (at the minimum) tropes describing their character.
      • Flavor text count for a deity profile should have by minimum, 10 (depending if the character in question has enough relationships/characterization) to 15 with a maximum of 20-25 for an individual profile.
      • On the other hand, group profiles (profiles of a group that has 4 or more members) have their maximum flavor text count to 15 minimum, giving individual lines for the other members of the group (unless the members are not as characterized) up to 30 at max.
    • Dominion profiles of a certain place should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 5 (at the minimum) tropes describing the context of the place.
      • Flavor text count should range at least 10 to 15.
    • Treasure profiles (inanimate objects without a trope) should have the following:
      • A portfolio that contains at least 6 (at the minimum) tropes that describes the object itself.
      • Flavor text count should be at least 7 flavor text up to 12 to constitute a treasure profile.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
  • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
  • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
  • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
  • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
  • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Templates
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power mentioned above.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Official song (in other words, no fan music, regardless of quality) that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on either a website like Soundcloud or YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D and is made for fun.
  • For Pokémon deities only:
    • Gender: Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
    • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
    • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Relationships between ascended characters go here with your chosen character, it goes something like this:
    • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies, those that share the same values as them and would theoretically be friends with them.
    • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals, people who may look at your character with suspicion or a challenge.
    • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes, those who would see your chosen character as a threat, either on their pespective or yours.
    • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that do not fit in various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.), allies, rivals, or enemies.
    • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Mon-type. (if any)
    • Feared by/Fears: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon notably fear or are feared by.
    • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
    • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by (basically the opposite of "Respects") terms of certain viewpoints, regardless of alignment.
    • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or are found pitiable by.
    • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Deities/Characters is 10-15 (15-20 for group profiles) at minimum to 20-25 (30 for group profiles) at maximum.

Template for Dominions profiles:

Place X, Place of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Alignment: Refers to the dominion's role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the dominion.
  • Domains: Things that the place has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the location has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the dominion is linked to, note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said dominion, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Dominion is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Dominions is 10 at minimum to 15 at maximum.

Template for Treasure profiles:

The name of the item in here (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Appearance: A shortened description of the item's looks with some notable features also mentioned.
  • Class: Refer to the Treasure Classification System in the Great Treasury.
  • Alignment: Refers to the objects' role in their story, be it those used by villains or used by the Player Character.
  • Theme Song (Optional): Not important as compared to Deity and Dominion profiles but a notable mention if there is an accompanying song in use with the object.
  • Museum Check: A note that says whether the item is viewable by the public.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the item.
  • Domains: Things that the item has links to.
  • Relationships (Optional): Unless the item has a connection with a specific deity, relationships are optional and may not be required. However, if there are deities linked to the same series as where the item is linked to (especially the original owner of the item), note them using the relationships, this includes deities that theoretically have interest with said object, good or evil otherwise.
  • Add the Intro. Here the introduction of the Treasure is added with some tidbits regarding the origins of its' creation and usage in the story. You can also add what made it popular/iconic/important here.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.
    • Note: Standard amount of flavor text for Treasures is 7 at minimum to 12 at maximum.

Also, I wanna really know what that DDLC smut was about. I'm not being a pervert, just really wanna know.

@Sae: Another thing about Adachi. in Persona 4: Arena Ultimax, while he was initially assumed to be in league with Sho Minazuki after he busted him out against his will, he was actually trying to stop it so he can keep serving his deserved jail time and the case against him from being reopened. Maybe there's something for Sae to think of regarding that.

So... who deserves Females Are More Innocent better, if you don't think she does?

Dr. Layon goes up today. Which subhouse fits Ramen Slurp?

Dr.Layon, God of Ramen Slurps (Dr.Laon, Dr.Leyon)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/drlayon.png
  • Total of votes: 2 (fasoman1996, RJ-CLOVIS-93)
  • Quasideity
  • Symbol: His Whale King, which he calls "Great Whale King".
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portifolio: Ramen Slurps, Awesome Sunglasses, Rivals Turned Evil, Obvious Love Of Ramen, Having A Interest For The Rival's Daughter, Being Just As Childish As Said Rival
  • Domains: Food, Quirks, Rivalries
  • High Priestess: Miss Koizumi
  • Allies: The Backdraft Group, as well as some members of the House of Love (more especifically, the Tainted Love subhouse), The Corpus.
  • Rivals: Dr. Toros, Gilgamesh, Team Rocket as a whole (Friendly Rivalry in the latter case)
  • Enemies: Most members of the House of Love, with the exceptions of the Tainted Love subhouse, Shirou Emiya, King Arthur (Nasuverse), Ash and his Pikachu (As well as the other Pokémons), Brock, Misty, Hiltz
  • Opposed by/Opposes: The other members of the Blitz Team (Except Leena), Van, Fiona, Thomas, Rosso, Viola and Rudolph, Inspector Zenigata, Heihachi Mishima
  • Interested on: Erina Joestar, Tsukushi Makino, Artoria Pendragon, as well as most of the GUAG and GUAE members.
  • Annoyed by: Naruto Uzumaki (one-sided from Layon's part)
  • Ascended after he supposedly saved Leena from the massive explosion created by three charged particle cannons during the Royal Cup tournament. But others knew that his ascension is because the way that he slurps his ramen shows how childish he actually is. Independent of the reason, Layon is now on the Pantheon.
  • Even after the Royal Cup, he still holds a grudge against Dr. Toros for marrying a woman which Layon was supposed to marry. Said woman was also Leena's mother.
    • In regards to his grudge agains Toros, the man himself doesn't seem to have the same relationship. In fact most gods are aware that they're just childish adults bickering with each other rather than being fiery rivals. And while Layon hates Dr. Toros, he is still in love with his daughter Leena, likely because she reminds him of his supposed lover. Leena herself doesn't know about it.
    • Layon is not amused to see the other members of the Blitz Team in the Pantheon. And he also doesn't forget Brad's supposed betrayal as well as Bit calling him "a sly fox".
    • The other Zoid pilots in the Pantheon are aware of him and they refuse to help Layon in his plans. In fact, they're pretty much allies of the Blitz Team, especially Van and Fiona. Rosso and Viola even were used to be villains, but they turned a new leaf after kidnapping Rudolph.
    • Let's not forget about "his" battle against Dr. Toros, which looked more like a vehicle exhibition contest than a Zoid Battle. A fool's battle, indeed.
  • Sometimes he goes up to the House of Sports to help the Backdraft Group. He is allies with them, and it's implied that he only joined the group due to being drunk in a bar. Only a few people knew about the fact.
    • Due to their "connections" to the Backdraft Group, Layon is also allies with The Corpus and Team Rocket. Consequently, his alliance with the latter group makes him enemies with the Pokémons and their trainers.
    • While Layon is okay to team up with guys like the Backdraft Group, people like Hiltz is a big no-no to him, given that Hiltz is a Omnicidal Maniac which is willing to return the world back to the ancient Zoidians. And the fact that he sounds like Bit scares him even more.
  • Due to the fact that Layon became Dr. Toros' enemy due to a huge misunderstanding, most of the members of the House of Love completely dislikes him. Of course, Layon's only major allies, aside of the Backdraft Group, are the members of the Tainted Love subhouse.
    • Layon also seems to have a soft spot for Erina from the same house, because her voice sounds like Leena's. Similarity he feels the same thing with Tsukushi. Too bad said girls are already married...
  • Outside of the House of Love, he seems to be interested on Artoria Pendragon, as she also sounds like Leena. Unfortunately for Layon, not only Saber is not interested on him, but he also have to deal with the ire of Gilgamesh which is also obsessed with Artoria. And given Gilgamesh's nature, things are not good for Layon. Not to mention that he also have to deal with Shirou, which is very protective of Saber.
    • While he does like Artoria, Layon doesn't like her Prototype counterpart. According to him, King Arthur not only looks like Bit Cloud whit his blond hair and green eyes (despite Artoria having similar traits), but he also has his annoying voice.
  • Nowadays Layon is trying to recruit some members from different mecha factions to destroy the Blitz Team. The problem is that some gods aren't interested, especially the good-aligned ones, as they're in good terms with the Blitz Team.
    • That said, Layon is aware of the existence of Gauron and Ali al-Saachez, two bloodthirsty psychos for hire. Layon thinks that those two will be useful for his plans (and by extension Backdraft's) in the future and spend part of his money hiring them.
  • Is not amused by the fact that he sounds like Brook and Scooby Doo. Especially considering that the latter eats some of his ramen. Although Layon is very impressed that Starscream also sounds like him... in a different way.
  • Speaking of ramen, he sometimes goes to the restaurants of the House of Food to eat some food... and then he brings his ramen along. He thinks that if a "God of Ramen" will ascend in the Pantheon someday.
    • Other notable ramen admirers are Naruto, Zenigata and Heihachi. However, Layon is not too fond of them, especially Naruto, which Layon thinks that he's annoying. Although the relationship is not mutual, because Naruto still thinks that Layon is a decent guy - one of the reasons why Layon sees him as a nuisance.
  • There's a rumor that Layon gave Leena's Gunsniper back after she lost it in a kidnapping attempt. It wasn't confirmed... yet implies that he is not a bad guy after all.
  • Seems to be very good on oyaji gags, if the "Koppa Mijinko" jokes have any indication.

I don't believe I got a response for Ultra Greed.

Ultra Greed, God of Throwing Away Money (Ultra Greedier)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ultragreed.png
  • Potential House: Commercial Attitude
  • [tup]s: 2 (faso, RJ) June 28th
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: The Greed Machine
  • Theme: Chorus Mortus
  • Alignment: Neutral Evil
  • Portfolio: Greed, Summons Keepers, Taking high amounts of damage to kill, Final boss of Greed Mode, Stealing coins, Using money as a weapon, Spinning, Turns Gold, Gambling To Attack, Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever, Turning things to gold, Stone Wall, Noose Necktie
  • Dominions: Money, Gold, Greed, Gambling, Gauntlets, Final Bosses
  • Followers: Various Keepers and Greeds
  • Allies: Merasmus, The Keeper, King Dice, the Devil
  • High Priest: Million Gunman
  • Herald: Super Greed
  • Rivals: Any Greedy figures in the Pantheon
  • Enemies: Isaac, Cuphead and Mugman, Mr. Krabs, Sayori
  • Popular with: Blood Knights
  • A mysterious door was found in the House of Commerce, appearing silently through the mist of hectic activity within the Pantheon. Titled "Greed Mode", it functions as a gauntlet that spawns in more and more difficult enemies. After someone endured the challenge they soon were met with... a bunch of Greeds. After clearing them out they then fight the actual Final Boss of Greed Mode, Ultra Greed. After defeating him (which took a lot longer than expected), they opted to kick him out until they recalled the entirety of his attacks rely on throwing away money at others where he was officially deified. Ultra Greed really didn't mind, but didn't plan to waste such an opportunity and accepted. He would of preferred Flunky Boss, but that was already taken by Onyxia and he didn't feel like fighting over it.
    • His first step as a new deity was to update Greed Mode since the enemies present isn't anything too noteworthy or threatening even in the later floors and the Pantheon's general populace wouldn't even think of it as challenge should he leave it that way. It originally started pulling Mooks from within the Enemies Sub-House but after a mix of complaints for a lack of variety and annoyance of being pulled over and over again he had to pull members from organizations and races to mitigate both problems. Of course that ended up with them complaining about taking their men without warning. Long story short, there's a lot of enemies you can potential encounter in his gauntlet.
      • He also updated the item pool since his challenges are no longer limited to Isaac. It got really popular thanks to the rapid influx of Blood Knights, though he had to offer up a reward for their troubles. Apparently a video showing Isaac turning into another Greed doesn't cut it...
    • And speaking of Isaac, the aforementioned little boy wasn't happy to hear that one of the Final Bosses were in the Pantheon, but still runs the gauntlet as usual. There isn't really much say about their relationship since it's hard to fit Ultra Greed with the fact that Isaac's adventures were nothing more than hallucinations born from suffocation inside a toy chest.
  • There was another candidate for his title: Million Gunman, the 9th Ranked Assassin in the UAA, known for wielding a golden Mauser that fires rolled up dollar bills. In the ascension process he kept repeating on and on about how he either asks others if they're greedy like he is or how he shoots money, sometimes interrupting himself. In the end, he ended up as a High Priest to Ultra Greed. Even if Million Gunman didn't end up annoying everyone, Travis' Herald Shinobu would've diced him anyways.
  • A thing to keep noted about Ultra Greed is that his health scales to whatever sort of power the enemy has. In actuality, he's not as durable as you may think but fighting him sure doesn't feel that way. Those who have trouble dealing damage will find the battle will take ages to finish. Add the fact that he can also heal himself a little bit through heart coins and money itself, and you got a fight in which you have to outlast to win. That being said Ultra Greed's isn't adamant on the overabundance of projectiles, unlike some other bosses from his game. His second form has him fight as a gold statue with new attacks like golden brimstone lasers along with existing attacks now exploding. This form is only available through Greedier Mode, so no cruel surprises in the regular mode. For this reason he gets along quite well with Merasmus mostly due to the fact that they are both highly hard to kill bosses with lots of health. He sometimes appears as boss during Greed Mode as a result.
  • Because of the trope he rules over, there was a wide slew of people out following him to hopefully get whatever cash that's been thrown in battle. To their disappointment, most projectiles just get destroyed upon impact much to everyone's disappointment. It doesn't mean that no currency is dropped but the ones that do are disproportionate to the ones he throws out willy-nilly. And since he can heal with them, however little it actually does, by coming in contact with them it doesn't make for a great scheme to get rich. But of course, that doesn't stop people from collecting it anyways. Mr. Krabs, for instance, has done so in the past.
  • His appearance is basically a giant version of Greed, with the added noose around his neck, which earned ire from Sayori as a result as many start making jokes about her suicide when he's around. And it doesn't help that he's supposedly not too far behind to get people to make said jokes. One striking feature people tend to note about Ultra Greed is how he has a really large and nice ass while walking. Then there's the fact that its the ass of a gargantuan corpse monster. Not so nice anymore. Apparently he originally was supposed to have a beard and have only a single tooth. More specifically, his appearance was supposed to be based off one of his creators.
  • His Keepers are not to confused by the Keeper, notable for the same thing (at least by technicality) and his incredibly complex dungeon design. Ultra Greed could't really believe the talk of how much of a nice boss he is until some of his minions flocked towards his dungeon. "Meeting" the man himself, he had to admit: He really is a nice guy. Although miffed about that, he decided to let them go and gained an ally out of the dungeon designer to get some tips to add help spice up his gauntlet.
    • Ultra Greed himself is not to be confused with the other Greed. The Ultra part of his name is important.
  • Ultra Greed got along well with King Dice due to being a fellow runner of a gauntlet of sorts whilst being undoubtedly evil. Through the literal Card-Carrying Villain, he would then become allies with the Devil himself (or, his universe's Devil at least). The Cup Bros weren't pleased to hear of his involvement with their greatest enemies.
  • Can turn certain inanimate objects into gold with his Ultra Greedier form by touch, like turds for instance. It's not something he can weaponize, but it's still something he is capable of. Some folks follow him whenever he's walking around to steal away whatever got solidified into gold to make a profit or to hang in their temples. And for the record, no, there's no relation to the Golden Turd as that's Rogers's doing. He can't create gems alongside it.

  • Domains: Metal, Assassinations, Organized Crime, Blood, Blackness, Retribution
  • High Priest: Hydreigon
  • Followers: Doctor Finitevus, Vorbis, Overlord Pram
  • Herald: His team, La Squadra di Esecuzione
  • Interested in: Erik Lensharr/Magneto, Jedah
  • Allies: Atrocitus, Fat Tony, Al Capone, Yoruka Kirihime
  • On speaking terms with: Hit, Shadow Yamoto
  • Rivals: Vito and Michael Corleone
  • Enemies: Bucciarti's Gang and Passione, but especially Diavolo, Clancy Wiggum, Roscoe Coltrane, Manfred Von Karma), Omar Little, The 456 Ambassador, Light Yagami, Nicky Cavella, John Henry Irons, Jason Todd
  • Opposed by: Avatar Korra
  • Pities: Imhotep
  • Avoids: The House of Alcohol
  • Risotto Nero is the leader of La Squadra di Esecuzione, the elite assassin squad of Diavolo's Passione. Eventually becoming frustrated with not being allowed territorial control like other trusted mafia groups and being underpaid, he got Sorbet and Gelato to investigate who he was. This ended in them suffering a Cruel and Unusual Death, and Diavolo got the group to oppose his other enemies in Bucciarti's Gang. It worked, but an infuriated Nero almost killed him through Doppio in retribution for his fallen teammates.
  • Despite his sinister appearance and black sclera(his surname even means black), he's a A Lighter Shade of Black to Diavolo. He may want his own stake in the drug trade but he actually cares about his men and isn't Ax-Crazy or The Sociopath like him. He despises how horrible the execution of Sorbet was-cut up into 36 pieces and stored in formaldehyde while Gelato was Forced to Watch. He has pity for Imhotep because of this, due to the horrible fate that befell him.
  • He's no fan of Nicky Cavella either-the man is a psychopath even by mobsters and a moron to boot. He wanted to get him to throw his life away against the Punisher to protect his sorry ass, Nero knows his track record. He also knows that his own illegal drug trade will piss off Frank and Jason Todd, though he doesn't sell them to kids. And he especially doesn't sell children as drugs, leading him to becoming utterly sickened as with most in organized crime towards the 456 Ambassador.
  • His criminality makes him a target for Kira, who's unique name(it's based off a type of rice dish) and unique look makes it easy for him to imagine him while writing. Something in Nero's favor is he can reflect light using fine iron for makeshift invisibility. As part of organized crime he's liable to get money stolen from Omar Little as well.
  • Vito and Michael Corleone aren't too fond of him wanting to be part of the drug trade, though agree he's far better than Diavolo. They're more open to compete than be true enemies. Al Capone and Fat Tony are fine having him work as their assassin and will pay him well.
  • Possesses a powerful close range stand, Metallica. A cluster of small metallic beings, they give him the ability to manipulate iron in a 5 to 10 meter range. Microscopic iron particles can be used to cover his body in them to reflect light, acting as camouflage. This makes him a danger to the likes of Steel up close. He's interested in Magneto because of his far greater ability to manipulate magnetism, and wants to be taught how to increase the potential of his own stand. He hasn't given the man a good reason why, so it hasn't gone anywhere yet.
  • The deadliest ability of Metallica is the power to manipulate the iron in someone's blood stream. Despite human bodies only having seven grams of iron, he can create knives, scissors and other sharp things to give his enemies hell. And without iron the body can't process oxygen, causing them to suffocate on dry land. Korra is horrified at this because of her own experience with bloodbending, though as an assassin Risotto is only going to get close enough for it when he's really pissed off.
  • Because he can manipulate blood, he's interested in Jedah for doing the same. Atrocitus seems more interested in him. He could perfectly understand his hatred for the cruelty of Diavolo, and the loss of his friends. He offered potential membership into the Red Lantern Corps, though Nero politely resigned as he knows it can take away one's senses and his heart will stop beating if he takes it off. The head of the Red Lantern Corps gave him some advice on further manipulating and weaponizing blood, likely that he might accept the offer one day.
  • His turn to evil came when a drunk driver ran over his cousin at 14. He spent four years in jail but Nero couldn't bring himself to not hate him, leading to him killing the driver. For this reason he has contempt for incompetent or straight up corrupt law enforcement like Clancy Wiggum and Manfred Von Karma, and bad drivers like Roscoe P Coltrane. He stays away from the House of Alcohol because of this.
  • Gets along with some of the other assassins, like Hit. He sympathizes with Yoruka Kirihime for being a betrayed assassin, given his personal experience, and Shadow Yamamoto as she was murdered by his bosses. He feels bad for Imhotep considering his utterly horrific Fate Worse than Death reminds him of how Diavolo murdered his messenger in a horrific fashion, and gave back pieces of him back to his squadron.

Risotto's planning to win the next battle with Diavolo, using the literally most edgiest Stand of all!

First draft of Surtr..damn, there's some powerful pyromaniacs pocketing the pantheon

Surtr, God of Setting The World Ablaze (Surtur, Surt, King of the Fire Giants)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_3871.JPG
Surtur as depicted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
  • House: Fire and Electricity (House of Nature)
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: His flaming sword, Laveteinn
  • Alignment: Chaotic Evil
  • Portfolio: Our Giants Are Bigger, Evil Is Burning Hot, Ending The World, Having A Kickass Sword, Flaming Sword, Light Is Not Good, Possibly Surviving Ragnarok, Arbiter Of Grim Fate, Kill the God, Hero Killer, Exists To Destroy And Little Else, Large and in Charge, possible Karma Houdini, Playing with Fire
  • Domains: Fire, The Apocalypse, Giants, Destruction, Swords
  • Allies: Ragnaros the Firelord, Brand, Fenrir, Apophis, the Lich, Nekron and the Grand United Alliance of Destruction, Aerys II Targaryen, The Grox, Deathwing the Destroyer, the Firebird
  • Enemies: Every deity from Norse Mythology, especially Thor, Ra, all Marvel deities(and pretty much everyone else) who aren't omnicidal maniacs, YHVH, Nurgle, Yveltal, Heatran, Alexstrasza, Leeloo, Finn the Human
  • Respects: Beerus, Destruction and Destiny of the Endless
  • Interested in: Kratos, Aleph
  • One of the Nine Realms is Muspelheim, a realm of fire where the fire giants dwell and the first realm to emerge from the primordial void. Ruling them is Surtr(also pronounced Surtur), a Destroyer Deity with a flaming sword. When Ragnarok comes along, he is one of the major players on the side of destruction and the end of all. He will do battle with Frey, and bring forth the flames that will engulf the Earth. And he possesses more than enough strength to make that more than a prophecy.
  • Defined more by the threat he poses than an actual character, Surtr usually waits until Ragnarok is near before taking action. If his Marvel incarnation is any indication, he's rather cordial. And he may have been content to wait where it not for learning of the countless battles in the pantheon between good, evil, law, chaos and machinery. He interprets that as Ragnarok, and that it's time for the clean slate Ragnarok and his flames would bring.
  • Naturally fatalistic, he takes keen interest in the House of Prophecy. He has deep respect for Destiny of the Endless due to perceiving himself as an arbiter of fate. Leeloo hates him for representing such an apocalyptic prophecy, having faced off against "Mr Shadow"/the Evil. The fact that he was destined to destroy Asgard was exploited by Thor for having him take out Hela and Asgard once everyone was evacuated. Thus he destroyed Asgard with only the BigBad as a fatality, defeating the point of his mission.
  • Siding with the Grand United Alliance of Destruction was natural for a being who exists to end the world. Surtr found immediate kinship with Apophis as they have the same function in their faiths-seek the extinction of all life. That similarity is also why Ra considers eliminating him very important. Scarily enough, he feels a kinship with the Lich. The Lich embodies mass extinction and nuclear holocaust, as he does the fiery apocalypse that the Norse foresaw.
  • Given what he is, the majority of deities oppose him. It's also hard for him to muster much hatred for others, but an exception to that would be YHVH. Not because of His morality, but because He represents stagnation in the Fire Giant's eyes-a world in lockstep to Law, not having the freedom to change is completely antithetical to an agent of change like himself. He feels the same about Nurgle's desire to preserve life to the microbial level, as horrible as that can become.
  • Has a heated alliance with Zamasu, due to the rogue Kaioshin's hypocrisy and narcissism. Like him, Zamasu(specifically Goku Black and Future Zamasu) ushered in the death of the other gods and hope to terminate all other intelligent life. However Zamasu still holds on to the belief that he is bringing a better world, and thinks the flames Surtr brings would sully the world's beauty. However like the GUAD, the King of the Fire Giants is far too useful for him to take out gods and mortals that challenge his vision. They've made no bones about trying to kill each other the nanosecond one no longer needs the other.
  • A Destroyer Deity, he has a cordial relationship with Destruction of the Endless. Sure, Destruction isn't evil and has retired, but he's Affably Evil enough to respect his old position and seniority. And while not villainous, Beerus is destructive and amoral enough that Surtr can respect him as well. Yveltal, however, doesn't like his evil nature when it comes to destruction.
  • Finn the Human believes he has some sort of relationship with the Fire Kingdom and his ex-girlfriend Fire Princess. Surtr thinks so, believing Fire Elementals and Fire Giants both emerged from the same primal fire at the dawn of time. Finn's experience with the Fire Kingdom and history of opposing evil makes him a Worthy Opponent in Surtr's eyes as well. Though seeking to destroy the world, he's seen to show kindness towards other "life of the flame".
  • Considers himself the Nine Realms counterpart to Ragnaros the Firelord and Brand. As they seek to burn the whole world and are fire elementals, it's natural they'd get along. He gets along with Deathwing the Destroyer and the Firebird for being fiery heralds of the apocalypse as well. Alexstrasza was horrified at another fiery destroyer ascending. Heatran is avoiding Surtr out of disgust for being an evil bringer of fiery death, and the fact Surtr is interested in the Pokemon's destructive potential.
  • Pyromaniac were very happy to see Surtr ascend. King Aerys wants to test wildfire compared to what Surtr can do, in hopes of finally burning down King's Landing and even Westeros if he feels like it. The Grox wanted Surtr to burn down the world, as it would make it more habitable for them.
  • Interested in Kratos for his ability to destroy the gods, and Aleph for the same reason along with how he managed to slay YHVH. Knowing how they react to being used, this can only end badly for Surtr.
