Trope Pantheons Discussion

Go To

Welcome to the Trope Pantheons thread! Please read the rules:

    open/close all folders

    Rules
Rules. The following are not suggestions or tips, but things that have to be followed:
  • Gods can't be followers or high priests for obvious reasons.
  • When you suggest a God, please explain why they fit the trope. Not everyone is going to understand just "X should be the God of Y because they exemplify the trope" off the bat, especially if they're unfamiliar with the work.
  • No hype profiles, please.
    • So you ask, what exactly is 'hype profile'? It is a profile based on ongoing events that hasn't been around very long, but generates a lot of hype, possibly because of elements such as Wham Episode or Memetic Mutation or Large Ham or overall 'OMGAWESOME!!!' They're all not bad tropes, but building a portfolio solely for that is a bad idea, as they do not say a thing about representing the trope best (unless it's those trope concepts that they are trying to embody for a long time). You can see one if the profile is only showing off how awesome they are or suddenly pushing how 'significant' they are thanks to the just very recent events rather than respecting the longstanding good representations of the trope. And usually having... minimum portfolio or flavor texts and being a bit too generalized or self-contained to events from within their home series instead of interacting with other Pantheon members.
  • The Pantheon is not a mouthpiece for you to voice your opinions on certain characters. You may like certain characters more than others, but don't make the profiles for characters you like look like Character Shilling.
  • DO. NOT. put a link to these Pantheon pages into the main wiki page. The moment you want to add in a main Characters page that the character is a God of this trope, don't do it. If you see leftovers of this practice, do yourself a favor and delete it from that main page. This also goes to the Trivia page. The only exception to this rule is if a page in the Pantheon could be confused for a page in Main, like Good Colors, Evil Colors and Good & Evil Colors.
  • You must use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon, or reworking an existing deity (be it simply improving their existing profile or changing their title).
    • For new and reworked deities, 3 [tup] means the profile will have a one week waiting period.
    • For new and reworked deities, 4 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
    • 5 [tup] is an automatic ascension for new and reworked deities.
    • Speaking of reworks, for anyone that wants to improve such profiles, they have to review the current trope the character(s) has and see if it still holds up or if there is a better rep for their trope.
    • For adding new Treasures to the Treasures or new Dominions to the Dominions, the following rules apply:
      • For new Treasures or Dominions, 3 [tup] is a 3 day waiting period.
      • 4 [tup] is an automatic addition to the Treasures or Dominions.
  • Do not include fan reception in any profiles. It has nothing to do with the character themselves and will create unnecessary conflict.
  • Write a detailed explanation on why the character is the best candidate for deity of that trope. If people disagree with you, do not force it on the people.
  • Keep in mind that if you still want to try to find a trope for a particular character, you're only given three chances on such. If a suggestion goes past three possible tropes, then it will come off as shoehorning a character into the Pantheon just for the sake of that character to be there.
  • Rule of Cautious Editing Judgment ALSO applies here. Do not bring things that would incite fights, even if it is what's currently the hot topic and might be 'urgent'. For example, the political scene and some really bad politicians. We are not here to fight at each other, so don't suggest things that go to that direction.
  • Do not create a trope page for a story until the story is fully completed.
  • Don't repost a profile in the forums more than twice in a day if noticeable changes haven't been made in between. If a profile is posted a third time in a row without noticeable alterations, it will be downvoted. This is so spamming of no-effort profiles is less frequent and to prevent tropers from getting aggravated seeing the same profile over and over. The minimum acceptable change has to be a single flavour text.

    Instructions and Tips
Here are some tips one should keep in mind when editing:
  • Please use the Trope Pantheons discussion thread in the forums if you wish to add a new deity, story, or something else of importance to the Trope Pantheon canon. You can also get some assistance in the forum thread. Submissions that are added without discussion are likely to be deleted.
  • If the character you are about to add to a House already exists in another, make sure to mention that this god has spots in other houses as well.
  • When writing facts/trivia about gods, try not to contradict what has already been written elsewhere.
  • When writing down the name of a Theme Song, try to avoid calling it "Theme of God X" or "Theme of (Show where God X originates from)". If possible, try to find out if the song has an actual name.
  • When adding an image for your God, make sure that it is not too big unless you wish to write more about the god you have chosen.
  • If you feel the need to remove a god for some reason and replace him/her with another, please see what the other tropers think about this in the discussion thread before doing anything hasty. If you're lucky (and they're from the same franchise), maybe both of them can share the title "Gods of (Insert Trope Here)".
  • Certain tropes can have more than one God. It is not advisable, but it is not forbidden. Just ensure that this second God will bring in new flavor of the trope. If you have doubts on how to bring the other flavors, consult the Trope Pantheon Discussion forum. Case in point: In the original Greek Mythology (and later Roman Mythology), both Ares/Mars and Athena/Minerva share the title of 'God/Goddess of War', and even then, they differ in flavor: Ares is about brutal warfare, Athena is about war strategies and finesse, while Mars took up some of Athena's elements that he kinda differs out than Ares. If the original myth can do this, why the hell not for the Pantheon?
  • Be creative! If you need some time to work out your potential deity's profile, use the Pending Gods or Pending Gods 2 page to get help. Incomplete and/or low-quality entries are more likely to get deleted or replaced.
  • When writing about a God who just happens to be a person in real life, just try to be very careful about what you decide to say. See also the Rules section. Especially the 1st bullet point.
  • All deities should be sorted by their divine ranking. Put Overdeities on the top of the page and Quasideities on the bottom. Also be sure to add them in alphabetical order by their first/given name.
  • Occasionally there will be Gods that carry a title without a trope. This is not forbidden, but it's well advised not to abuse them. Aside from introducing too many niche concepts, there are still chances for new tropes related to your chosen deity's title to be launched through YKTTW...
    • Additionally however, the only house that a tropeless profile are wholly allowed is the House of Food. Mainly due to most food items lacking tropes, and adding tropes about said foodstuffs is slightly unecessary. However, the character being ascended for their choice of a food, or food-related thing must be a decently good representative of said item. IE: Their Trademark Favorite Food, or something that they're closely associated with In-Universe, or both (example: Gangplank and his oranges).
  • Maximum number of tropes what a god should have is three, but don't try to abuse that fact. If you need to use a second trope to specify a certain thing about their position, that can be excused.
  • Some series will eventually have greater representation in the Pantheon than others. This is unavoidable, but a little diversity helps, as well. Try to ensure that if you add a deity from a popular series, make sure that it's because they're a good representative for the trope in question, and not just because they're connected to another deity in their respective canon.
  • As far as deities from actual mythologies (Greco-Roman, Norse, Japanese, etc.) are concerned, try not to replicate the default myths about their characters and use a fictional counterpart instead. In other words, if you want to use the Greek/Roman god Ares/Mars, you can't add him as the "God of War", but you can use him as part of another trope as long as it's a different version of him. For example:
    • Zeus, while having elements of his persona from Classical Mythology, draws more from his portrayal in the God of War Series.
    • Thor and Loki's Pantheon portrayals are influenced heavily by their appearances in their Marvel Comics series.
    • Amaterasu is a woman in her Japanese mythology portrayal, but her Pantheon counterpart is the dog goddess from Ōkami.
  • Don't depend too much on the hype/meme train, don't just jump onto that train willy-nilly in order to put on some events or entry in the Pantheon. It might not last very long or represent the trope best. This is Trope Pantheons, not Trope Hype Train!
  • Unless the character proposed is specifically from the Abridged version, the character should represent the tropes in their canon selves. If they also happen to possess the trait of the Abridged self, good! But otherwise, get the abridged stuff onto just the flavor texts.
  • To prevent any surprising need to rework profiles due to new development, please restrain from ascending gods from a series before the thing is either released or for longer-running series, there is a good enough of a break from story. This also applies to already existing series if there is a new thing coming out.
  • Please be sure to ask in the discussion about what you want to work before making the profile. This is done to see if your proposal is the best representative and so, in case your profile is turned down, you don't waste time writing something that others might not find suitable.
    • In the same vein, if you adopt a profile from another troper, it is recommended that you make an announcement that you have done so on the discussion thread. More often than not, a trope that was reserved for something was given away to someone else.
  • It is much more recommended to word the title like "God of X" instead of "The God that Xs". This will give off the vibe the God actually ruled over that trope instead of just 'did X', giving more credentials to how it's the best example of the trope.

    Divine Ranking System
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity, based on representation of power.
    • Overdeity: Omnipotent-level Reality Warpers capable of manipulating the entire universe (or at least the world) at will. Within their own universe they are believed to be omnipotent, or at least impossible-to-completely-destroy embodiments or concepts.
    • Greater Gods: High-level Reality Warpers and that are extremely powerful (capable of destroying or changing anywhere from a large city to a planet at will) and very strong non-reality warpers capable of doing the same thing.
    • Intermediate Gods: Deities at this level are capable of strong but specialized powers such as hydrokinesis, pyrokinesis, etc. without major drawbacks and low level Reality Warpers capable of affecting their immediate area at will.
    • Lesser Gods: Capable of highly specific or little power on their own, or suffer from Power at a Price. However, they may be able to ruthlessly exploit their power or combine it with just being badass enough to make up for it.
    • Demigods: Basically the Badass Normals of the pantheon, making up for their lack of abilities with strength, strategy, and/or planning.
    • Quasideities: Any otherwise normal human, human equivalent, or below without any special powers or training will fall here.

    Deity Template
Template for adding a new deity:

God X, God/dess of (Insert Trope Here) (Alternate names/Nicknames, Fan Nickname)

  • An image, if possible. Please use official art or a screenshot for a picture.
  • Potential House:
  • Rank: This can range from Quasideity, Demigod, Lesser God, Intermediate God, Greater God, to Overdeity. This doesn't always have to be a representation of power, but it can also represent influence in the Pantheon.
  • Symbol: An image or icon used to represent the deity.
  • Theme Song: Song that usually is used in affiliation with the character. If the deity is a musician, this will most likely be their Signature Song. If possible, give a link for reference, preferably on YouTube.
  • Alignment: Good, evil, neutral etc. Forget about The Great Character Alignment Debate here, the Pantheon is one of the few places where you can assign Dungeons & Dragons alignment to characters that don't have alignment system. After all, the Pantheon is based on D&D.
  • Gender: For Pokémon deities only. Defines the gender of the Pokémon; if genderless, it instead defines what gender they identify as.
  • Ability: Provides the Pokémon's ability. If they can Mega Evolve, the new ability is listed as well.
  • Moves: Defines the four moves used by a Pokémon. A Z-Move may also be listed.
  • Portfolio: Tropes associated with the character.
  • Domains: Things that the character has influence over.
  • Herald: Non-ascended loyal character that is from the same series as the ascended character.
  • High Priest: Non-ascended like heralds, but not from the same series, and can serve as a worthy replacement in case something would happen. They can be served as part-time workers in case the originals are busy with some jobs. Co-Godhood is accepted depending on the approval of the originals, usually if the co-deity is from the same series.
  • Followers: Non-ascended characters that are not part of the Pantheon, but would probably worship this character by the fact that they share the ascended character's trope.
  • Allies: Members of the Pantheon that are allies.
  • Rivals: Members of the Pantheon that are rivals.
  • Enemies: Members of the Pantheon that are foes.
  • Additional Character Relationships: Members of the Pantheon that have various relationships (examples include Enemy Mine, Vitriolic Best Buds, Teeth-Clenched Teamwork, Headbutting Heroes, Friendly Enemy, Friendly Rival, Just Friends, etc.) other than allies, rivals, or enemies.
  • Partner: Defines a partnership with an ascended deity and Pokémon.
  • Respected by/Respects: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon respect or are respected by.
  • Pitied by/Pities: A deity whom the members of the Pantheon feel pity for or find pitiable.
  • Opposed by/Opposes: Not necessarily the same as "Enemies", but this is used for any deity whom the members of the Pantheon directly opposes or is opposed by, regardless of alignment.
  • Conflicting Opinion: Sometimes, the Deities argue over specific themes and philosophies.
  • Add the Intro. The intro is made up of two trivia, the Ascension Text (or just the Ascension) and The Bio. Both are necessary, but which order you use for them may vary depending on the profile in question. It may be better for one profile to have The Bio first and the Ascension second or vice-versa, although for the most part the order is irrelevant:
    • The Ascension Text: This the story of how the character got into the Pantheon and/or was ascended. There are many ways for this to happen. They may be tricked into it or have simply wandered into the Pantheon, they may have had an already ascended character bring them in, they may already be in the Pantheon (via being another deity's Herald or sharing a trope) and got "promoted", or some combination of the above. Anything is possible in the Pantheon, so use your imagination, but try to incorporate their trope into the story, if possible.
    • The Bio: A brief synopsis on the character's backstory. No need for the character's entire life/production history, but just give enough that those who don't know the character can get an idea of how the character works.
  • Now add some random trivia/facts about events/alignments/moments/fights/friendships/relations etc.
  • And some more trivia/facts.
  • And a couple of more.

I have 2[tup] for Blue. Day 1. Anything else?

Blue Oak, God of Rivals (Green Okido, Gary/Shigeru Oak, Douche, Literally every bad names one could think of)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/165px_sun_moon_blue.png
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: His Ten Kanto Badgesnote
  • Theme Song: Rival Encounter Theme (S/M version), Blue Trainer/Champion Theme
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: The Rival, Pick Pokémon with advantage to Red's, Jerkass, until his mature years, Raised by his Grandfather, Accomplished Trainer, Current Viridian City Gym LeaderUsually, Part-time Researcher
  • Domains: Rivals, Pokémon, Champions
  • Allies: Blastoise, Rhydon, The Eeveelution, Cynthia, Indiana Jones, Lara Croft, the League of Explorers
  • Rivals: Red (of course), Ash Ketchum
  • Odd Friendship: Wario, Shadow, Vegeta, Viral, Gray Fullbuster, Char Aznable, Seto Kaiba, Jun Manjome/Chazz Princeton, Sasuke Uchiha
  • Enemies: Giovanni, Jessie, James, and Meowth
  • Heralds: Barry, Cheren, Hugh, Shauna, Tierno, Trevor, Hau, Gladion
  • Blue grew up in Pallet Town with his sister Daisy and grandfather, Professor Oak. In his childhood, he lived with his neighbor Red and became bitter rivals. From humble beginnings at Pallet Town to their final showdown in the Indigo Plateau for the title of Pokémon Champion, their rivalry are legendary.
  • His grandfather notoriously forgets his name and is often in need of remembering it. This gives a lot of people the opportunity to give him a bad name, which annoys him a lot.
  • Because of his interchangeable choice of color between blue and green, he once considered a godhood in Blue Is Green. However, his well-known rivalry to Red has earned him the godhood in Rivals. It come into conflict with the previous holder of the trope: Kyo Kusanagi and Iori Yagami. But ultimately, because they work together despite their bitter rivalry, they moved to the House of Friendship (ironically) to become the Gods of Unwanted Teamwork.
  • As the god of Rivals, he went throughout the Pantheon to find the archrival who clashes with other protagonist, despite many of these rivals are not known for their temperament. In spite of this, Blue keep in touch with them because of their competitiveness with their rivals.
  • He respects the local Blastoise in the Pantheon due to his starter Pokémon being a Squirtle. Similarly, he has a liking for Rhydon as he was a staple in his team. It was also said that Eevee was associated with him though his incarnation Gary.
  • Taking root from his grandfather, Professor Oak, Blue is a researcher of his own accord. While studying Pokémon, he meet other researchers like Indiana Jones and Cynthia. In fact, he compare himself to Indie as they would ditch their duties as gym leader and university professor, respectively.
  • He is the Viridian City Gym Leader, taking over when Giovanni left as news of him being the leader of Team Rocket became public. Despite that, he would leave the gym to travel a lot from Unova to Kalos to Alola.
  • Do not bring up the Raticate he once had. He only dumped in his PC, there were no urban legend of it dying and him being in the Pokémon Tower was only coincidence.
  • "Smell ya later."

[up] The Rival is an example of Character Archetypes.

EDIT: It could also be a case of Character Roles. Either one will do. Roles has Paul Phoenix with Unknown Rival, so give preference for that one.

@Master Hero The Toa Code is strict. While the Mahri are more pragmatic than most Toa and would accept that Ackbar will kill his foes, they won't give him the tools to do so (aka the Crawler) and thus become complicit in that killing. What they would be willing to do is offer their aid to the Resistance on a case-by-case basis, thus bringing down the overall number of deaths by dealing with a proportion of the foes involved.

I'll write that in.

More Worms. Any more suggestions or fixes for them? Otherwise, do they look ready?

Worms, Heralds of Artillery Games

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/665659_20120502_screen001.jpg
Scientist, Soldier, Scout, and Heavy Worms
  • Theme Music: Wormsong (First; Armageddon; 3D; Reloaded)
  • Demideities
  • Symbol: A Worm with a bazooka
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral with Stupid tendencies
  • Portfolio: War Has Never Been So Much Fun and Glorious, Heroic Comedic Sociopath, This Banana is Armed (And so are some Other Unlikely Items)
  • Domains: Worms, War, Wackiness
  • Allies: Andy
  • Enemies: Ampharos, Killer Rabbit
  • Opposed by: Kiritsugu Emiya, Valvatorez, Athrun Zala, Bomberman
  • Source of Interest for: Most Mad Bombers, Sundowner
  • Wars are known to be violent thanks to a variety of deadly weapons. Whenever these warmongering worms are around, cartoony and insane can be added to that description of war. A team of worms, armed with plenty of unusual weapons (and are able to get more of them via crates or money found during conflict), are in a battlefield, take turns for whatever reason, and try eliminate the opposition. Whoever is the last team standing wins the battle.
  • Various betting stations regarding colored teams for the Worms have been set up near their temple for others looking to do something for fun. The Worms have various battle arenas, including some in outer space to take their fights. That said, they can't use certain parts of the Pantheon due to risk of collateral damage or causing general annoyance towards others.
  • In addition to the standard Soldier-type Worms, there are three other types that can join the battle if need be. Scouts are slightly faster, but slightly weaker compared to Soldiers while Scientists have a better chance of getting better weapons and when it's their turn to attack, are able to restore a little bit of health to their teammates. As for the Heavy-type Worms, they're exactly what one would think they are: slower, but stronger in terms of offense and defense.
  • Andy caught wind of their various battles and decided to meet up with them after witnessing one firsthand. He does find their antics to be entertaining, but is aware that they are more unhinged than him in a number of ways. Andy hangs out with the Worms, partially to talk about their exploits and partially to make sure the Worms don't get too out of hand with their violence.
  • Of all the deities who can't stand the Worms, the Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog is one of them and it's simply because they have access to the one weapon that killed him: the Holy Hand Grenade. What the Worms lack in long-winded dialogue before throwing it, they make up for the fact that their aim isn't quite accurate. That and the Worms prefer to after each other instead of other things such as the Killer Rabbit.
    • Ampharos, coming from a line of Pokemon based on sheep, is also highly offended at how the Worms use exploding sheep just for fun in their fights. The fact that flying sheep with capes are also usuable, as well as the fact that electric sheep can be designed by the Worms, simply didn't change Ampharos opinion of them and likely made it hate the Worms even more.
  • Concrete Donkeys, Banana Bombs, and exploding grannies are among the more unorthodox weapons that the Worms have used in their fights. Upon finding out that there was an entire house in the Pantheon dedicated to storing many weird weapons, the Worms have taken a great interest in them, especially if something strange can be done out of them. Only a small number of deities agreed to let the Worms use things from the House of Weapons as part of their fights. There's also the fact that the Worms are capable of making stronger versions of their existing weapons whenever possible.
    • The Worms also found out that there's a completely separate part of the Pantheon that houses some very unique and powerful weapons. Unsurprisingly, they don't have as much luck getting into the Treasures compared to getting stuff from the House of Weapons. Then again, considering that the Treasures house some really dangerous weapons that carry the risk of corrupting someone, the increased security there is understandable.
  • Given that explosions are practically guaranteed to happen whenever they fight, plenty of deities who have an affinity for blowing things up have followed their battles on a frequent basis and have even tried to follow them around afterwards. Bomberman, on the other hand, isn't really fond of the Worms' antics and often has to stop the Worms from doing something stupid outside of battle, either by themselves or with other explosive maniacs.
  • Many deities who hate war are disgusted at these Worms not only because of their attitude, but because of how they manage to glorify war on top of making it look like a lighthearted matter. Those deities are also highly skeptical of Andy keeping them in check, as those Worms are very unpredictable and there's no telling that something bad will happen.
  • One deity who enjoys their skirmishes is Sundowner, of all people. Whenever the Worms aren't fighting, Sundowner has approached them numerous times with the intent of promoting his ideas of warfare to them. The Worms don't have any real interest in his products (and a few were actually disturbed with that he was talking about), but Sundowner is convinced that eventually they'll give in and buy something from him. Of course, he could just be taking advantage of the fact that the Worms are prone to buying weapons using money they find during battle.
  • Some of their fights add vehicles such as tanks, helicopters, or even mecha to the mix. The variety of vehicles present in the Pantheon has made the Worms very interested in them, but since they're very likely not going to be able to have permission to use them due to how much chaos could occur if the real things fell into their hands, a number of generic look-alike models were made by scientists for the Worms to use instead.
  • With the right materials, they are able to come up with strongholds that are able to house buildings such as science labs, hospitals, buildings that can create weapons, and buildings that have firearms built onto them. Unsurprisingly this is mainly used in their battles, but a number of other deities are interested in seeing if the Worms can use their building skills for others.
  • If they aren't blowing each other up in battle, then they might be playing trying out some sort of colored puzzle or going out golfing. Even if those activities are supposed to be more peaceful than what they're known for, things are still going to blow-up regardless (especially if their idea of golf involves tying up someone to a golf pole and hitting a grenade with a golf club to the hole). It's possible they may have attempted kart-racing, but their take on the idea never fully materialized as far as anyone knows.

One more '[tup]' needed for the Toa Terrain Crawler!

The Toa Terrain Crawler ('Gukko')

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/toa_terrain_crawler.png
  • '[tup]'s: Crownless Mimic, Time Lord Victorious, Master Hero
  • Appearance: An underwater, techno-organic, crawling Personnel Carrier
  • Alignment: True Neutral
  • Portfolio: Artificial Limbs and Armour, having sixty-centimetre armour and still being able to travel at forty knots, chemical-based self-healing that can be applied to its passengers, having a face that looks like Hahli's Kanohi Faxon, afraid of Spider Crabs and only Spider Crabs
  • Domain: Vehicles, Travel, Beasts, Technology
  • Considering that they only used it once and freed it immediately afterwards, the Mahri were surprised when Whenua informed them that the Toa Terrain Crawler was among the Treasures. All of them, Hahli in particular, were also horrified to find that it was being kept in a tank in the corner of the vehicles hangar. Nuparu immediately set to work to build an enormous breathing apparatus for the creature, which now spends most of its time with the Mahri, either in their temple or ferrying the Toa Team around - though Whenua does insist that they bring it back to the Treasures once in a while.
    • It was on a trip that the Toa Mahri took to the House of Nature that Nuparu had another idea: why not connect the Subhouse of Water and Ice directly to the Toa Terrain Crawler's tank, thus allowing it to roam freely as it would have been able to in the Pit? The idea seemed promising and, having asked around, the Toa of Earth found a deity with significant experience of Portal Networks. Sulley, sympathetic towards the Crawler, was more than happy to let Nuparu use the designs for Monsters Inc.'s doors - which he promptly reverse-engineered and scaled up massively to install in the tank. As concessions to Whenua, who was more than slightly concerned about the idea of a Treasure being loose in the Pantheon at large, the entrance was disguised on the other side by phantom rocks generated by an Illusion Kanoka and the Turaga given a device to remotely access the Crawler's pilot controls should he need to return it to the Treasures; furthermore, Aquaman and Percy Jackson have both promised to give it their personal protection.
      • Of course, this has brought it into contact with a vast range of new sea life. It has bonded particularly well with Lapras, a fellow aquatic transport.
      • Katara, who has her home in the Subhouse, was immediately reminded of Appa upon encountering it, though she, like Hahli, wasn't best pleased with Axonn's mechanical modifications to the creature.
  • Admiral Ackbar has asked the Mahri for permission to use the Crawler as a transport on undersea missions for the Rebellion. The Mahri aren't exactly comfortable with this, given that Ackbar frequently breaks the Toa Code, something that they don't want to be complicit in, but they will go along on missions that they agree with themselves (with the Crawler) so as to limit the killing as much as possible.
    • The Eliksni, not having any undersea presence, have similarly been keen to take the Crawler for their own; some among them have gone a step further and consider it to be among the ranks of their gods, naming it 'Sea-Servitor'. Whenua and the SCP Foundation have been warned of their intentions.
  • The Toa Terrain Crawler didn't really have a proper name during the Mahri's short time with it in the Pit. As they spent more time with the creature in the Pantheon, this situation became rapidly less practical. Eventually Kongu started affectionately referring to it as 'Gukko', after the fast, agile birds of Mata Nui that served as faithful, docile and courageous steeds for Kongu's old Le-Matoran militia, and the name stuck.

@ Nightelf: Noah and Jor-El would find something in common.

@ Aerial Queen: [tup] for Lucy.

@ R-lock: [tup] for the Worms.

@ ET: [tup] for the Crawler. I suppose your argument makes sense. If anything, Ackbar would favorably compare the Toa to the Jedi.

@ Roku: [tup] for the Armat Pulse Rifle. It would remind the Master Chief of the standard-issue Assault Rifle, Commander Shepard of the M-8 Avenger and Jim Raynor of the C-14 Impaler.

Standard repost for my profiles. I added Fasoman's suggestions about the SCP Foundation's concerns and tried to reach a compromise for both parties. Any further suggestions I can add for them?
Kaito Kirishima and Ichika Takatsuki, Divine Couple of Intimate Healing

Kaito on the left, Ichika on the right.
  • Potential/New House: Healers and Romance
  • Theme Song: "Vidro Moyo"
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Lesser Gods
  • Symbol: Kaito's camera
  • Portfolio: Interspecies Romance, Intimate Healing, Unable to Confess Their Feelings Until Much Later, Wearers of Glasses
  • Domain: Love, Healing, Filming, High School
  • Herald: Maron (Ichika's pet)
  • Allies: Superman/Clark Kent, Lois Lane, James T. Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, Kathryn Janeway and Jonathan Archer, Agent K and Agent J, the Jedi
  • Respect: Sheryl Nome
  • Enemies: Harbinger, the Borg Queen, the Combine, Brainiac, Sheev Palpatine
  • Pity: Heinz Windermere
  • Intimate Healing is a very complicated trope, subject to a lot of misrepresentation. The Pantheon's higher-ups decreed that for that trope to be accepted, it would require two representatives to provide proper context: one that does the healing and one that gets healing. Fortunately, Kaito and Ichika were the perfect candidates and their story provided a good justification for the trope: as an alien from a super-advanced civilization, Ichika possessed technology that saved Kaito from the brink of death, as well as unknowingly giving him the ability to have vision induced from such tehnology. Their ascension was performed without much issue.
  • Their ascension was a major boon to the young lovers. In the mortal plane, Ichika was forced to leave Earth as The Federation prohibited contact with underdeveloped species. Fortunately, no such limitation existed in the Pantheon, allowing Kaito and Ichika to happily reunite. The House of Narrative questioned whether or not it was still too early for them to ascend, as their story had an open ending that offered the possibility of a continuation. Kaito and Ichika replied that while that possibility still existed, they were happy enough with their ascension. Whether or not their story continues, only time will tell.
  • Happy to learn the Pantheon was more lax about Interspecies Romance than their homeworld. As they were young and still had much to learn about relationships, they visited Superman and Lois Lane, whose love famously produced their herald Jonathan. Seeing much of themselves in Kaito and Ichika, Clark and Lois offer comfort and solace whenever the young lovers need it.
  • Surprised to learn there was already a Federation in the Pantheon, just not the Federation Ichika came from. Instead, it was a Federation formed from the best and brightest of humanity, such as James T. Kirk, Jean-Luc Picard, Kathryn Janeway and Jonathan Archer. The four captains warmly welcomed the young lovers into their exploration missions, teaching them that in time, humanity would find a place in the stars. Understanding Kaito's desire to advance humanity into a spacefaring species, they have recommended him for Starfleet Academy.
  • Many non-human deities were baffled questioned Ichika about her culture, such as the fact that members of her species had human appearances and referred to themselves with human names. Ichika had kept mum on the matter.
  • Thanks to his love for filming and cameras, Kaito became good friends with Peter Parker and Yuu Haruna, often spending time with them filming documentaries about the happenings on the Pantheon. It's mostly for entertainment, but sometimes the House of School requests their help for educational purposes.
  • Ichika's arrival from space were unusual enough for Kaito, but his life further strayed from normality when he met Shido Itsuka, protector the Spirits, and Haruto Tsukishiro, explorer of dreams. While his own adventures don't hold a candle compared to what Shido and Haruto experienced, Kaito nevertheless gained trusted friends and steadfast allies in them. Their similar voices further strengthened their bond.
    • Ichika became friends with Shido's haremettes: Tohka, Origami and Mayuri. The Spirits were very sympathetic to Ichika's ordeal and offer advice in how to improve her relationship with Kaito. Ichika had also heard of Fuuka and how her destined death was averted because enough people in the mortal plane wanted her to have a happy ending. Perhaps something like that would allow her to continue her story with Kaito.
  • Kaito and Ichika's presence in the Pantheon unfortunately brought some unwanted attention. Harbinger, the Borg Queen, the Combine and Brainiac seek to obtain Ichika's technology and extend their conquests. Kaito and Ichika were further dismayed to learn of a galactic empire controlled by a cruel and monstrous human, Sheev Palpatine, who had no qualms of torturing them if it meant gaining an advantage over his enemies.
  • Agents K and J have been tasked to protect Kaito and Ichika from alien threats by their friend and fellow MIB member Lemon. The agents do not reveal Lemon's status to Kaito and Ichika, partly because of MIB protocols and partly because it would put them in more danger than they already are.
    • The SCP Foundation was concerned that Ichika would be a matter of concern for world security and considered holding her for interrogation, but K and J ultimately convinced them that Ichika was harmless. This all happened without Kaito and Ichika's knowledge, further protecting the secrecy of both agencies.
  • Ichika was a bit of afraid of ghosts, particularly after a visit to a shrine, but her experiences with the Jedi, who could commune with the Force to manifest as ghosts in the realm of the living, helped her get the better of it.
  • Both admire Sheryl Nome for using her music to bring peace between humanity and the Vajra, seeing it as a sign that humans and aliens can live together as equals. Unfortunately, the case of Heinz Windermere was a bit greyer. While they understand the circumstances he was forced into, they cannot ignore the lives his actions destroyed.

Hello, people. This is Chris X, and I would like to make a very important announcement.

First, we understand that perhaps there were some meme factor within the Pantheon. However, Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgment will still be applied as it's said in the rules. I would like to expand on this, considering the current events.

And I'm sorry to M1gamiTensei that I had to use you as an 'example'. Nothing bad will be done to you for now.

Shortly before, M1gamiTensei suggested to put in Ajit Pai as a member of the Pantheon in order to make people more aware that 'This is the guy who's trying to destroy our precious Net Neutrality!', or maybe to spite on him (then again, who doesn't want to?). We told him off and made him not go through that, because it felt like repeating the practices of the Disgraces.

And yet, just as early as New Year 2018, the people of the internet has found a new 'scum' in form of Logan Paul, who made a vlog visiting Japan's suicide forest and allegedly 'laughed' or 'made jokes' in front of someone committing suicide. The Internet Backlash blazed greatly with that, not even an apology video would be sufficient for LP to clean his name. Youtube, once again, became the scapegoat that they dared letting the 'scum' go unpunished. Twitter or Tumblr or other Social Medias are rife with posts or memes shitting on LP, or perhaps to increase awareness that what he did was 'unforgivable'.

So what does it have to do with Trope Pantheons?

Well, the Trope Pantheons is not a place to invest into hatred or raise awareness or things like that: We are here for decent fun within the boundaries. Raising awareness or condemnation like that belong elsewhere. That's why I urge you to not even suggest controversial topics like either Ajit Pai, Logan Paul or any other controversial condemnable (especially in social media) into the Pantheon. That was like repeating the practices of Disgraces and unnecessarily spiteful.

And I'm sorry if this will sound like a bit too draconic but it has to be done: If anyone in the future attempts to do this to the next super controversial figure that is majorly condemned... We will immediately report to the mods.

Thank you for your time.

"Deep sea descent in progress. Thirty-one - thirty-two - thirty-three thousand... Prepare for impact. Three - two - one - destination reached... Mission objective: Retrieve Mask of Life."

And with that, Project Miru Nuva is complete! Thank you, everyone, for indulging me. I do intend to work on at least one more Toys/BIONICLE entries at some point (the Piraka) but, well, that can wait.

Next task: Nebby under Our Wormholes Are Different and Necrozma under Pillar of Light! Regarding the former, I keep trying to think of a word that means 'one who uses a path or way' that I'd like to use for Nebby's title but can't for the life of me pin it down. Anyone have any ideas?

[down]Please, don't joke about that.

There is always, always a third option. It is not necessarily better than the previous two.

I wanted to see if people here would have a visceral reaction the moment I mentioned it. I know I sound like a dick for it but I wanted to see how strict the rules were firsthand. I wasn't gonna make the profile anyway, even if I did, I'd post it on April Fools and not expect anyone to even take it seriously.
