It's only "lucky" if you considered that she was going to die unless something very fortuitous happened. If you already thought she was going to survive unless a cruel twist of fate struck, then everything is happening just as planned. Assuming the demiurges would just kill her, instead of a gamble or more tasteful mind game with a worthless bug, and squabble over the control of her key is only that - an assumption -, which we were just shown to be wrong. In fact, back when Incubus appeared to Allison, we could have taken that as an argument in favor of "the demiurges aren't just going to kill Allison." Because at least six of them won't commit random murder. There are more refined ways to cause suffering, as Mottom showed us.
Upon being told that eating the food will make her immortal, she says she doesnt believe it, and then eats the food anyway, and her fingers basically proceed to explode. My only consolation is that the Abbadon lampshaded it. Idiot indeed.

I'm done trying to sound smart. "Clear" is the new smart. There's one problem with that analysis: she's never explicitly told that. It could be inferred, but I think the point here is that Mottom got Allison to let her guard down - a bad decision, but as the Alt Text says: "Allison's adventure is an exercise in bad decision making".
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)I am under the impression the food makes the eater younger. Allison's skin is shedding because she is growing a new, younger one underneath. That's not exactly what she expected to happen when she ate it, but it's not as bad as the food being poisoned.
Besides, we and Allison just saw how easily Mottom can kill people. Does anyone here really think Mottom would turn to poison out of the blue?
Gotta dress to impress
(bonus page, presumably we'll still get one tomorrow).
Guests of all types.
Including uninvited ones.
Those skeletons look like they're having a really great time.

I just found this comic and I have to say one of the best things that stand out to me is the beautifully surrealistic art! The mythology is really cool but I might have trouble completely understanding all of it....
The ink flows into a dark puddle, just move your hand- write the way into his heart![]()
Once upon a time, there was YISUN and nothing else. YISUN is everything that exists, could exist, and doesn't exist. After an eternity, YISUN committed suicide by splitting into two halves, the white male YIS, who encompassed everything that does not exist, and black female UN, who encompasses evrything that does exist.
Upon seeing each other, YIS and UN did battle for 7 years, and made love for 7 hours, then gave birth to 777,777 gods (again committing suicide to do so). These gods also had infinite circular lives, and lived in Throne. The stories about people doing things below the comic are about some of these gods. The suffix on a god's name is always YIS or UN, and represents the parent's name.
Blacksmith god wants servants, and picks up the Cool White Flame and Warm Black Flame of YIS' and UN's corpses. While doing so, he threw away the Hot Black Flame and the Cold White Flame into the void, which is the shadow cast by the multiverse. Both shatter, and the Hot Black Flame shards become demons (I can talk more about demons if you want). Blacksmith dude uses the Cool Black Flame to create Servants. But Servants have Will, because they were created out of a piece of the fire of YISUN. To fix this, he grabs the 777 shards of the Cold White Flame from the void and throws them in his fireplace, creating Angels. Then he immediately hammered the Law into them so that they would be forced to obey it and enforce it upon the Servants.
Aesma comes along, steals the Warm Black Flame, and hits it with a hammer. The other gods were prepared to wipe out this new race, but discovered that the species created (Humans) were not immortal and also had a stronger will than the gods. They were fascinated, and eventually each ws inspired to tell a story (and die). Every story was a universe, so there were 777,777 universes created, in a ring around Throne (thus, the multiverse is wheel-shaped). Humans and Servants were banished at some point, leaving just Angels in Throne.
Any questions?

Ok, thanks! It actually does help to explain a lot...And no, I'll ask if any question comes to mind.

But Allison didn't know any of that ahead of time. She didn't know anything, since she didn't bother to try to find out what was going on. She's just lucky, and that's annoying. I hope it doesn't become a habit.
