I don't know—Raven and Clarke have a good relationship and, by that point, there was no possible way to save him (and Raven knew it). Besides, killing the commander would only cause the army to kill Finn, Clarke, and then storm the camp. Raven would have to be in some pretty deep despair to never forgive Clarke for that.
Oh yeah, Raven definitely grabbed the Idiot Ball hard and firm on that one. The only solution to their mutual trauma? Sweet lesbionic make up sex.

Trump delenda estWell, I did hear we're supposed to get a gay character sometime this season . . .
On a different note, my personal theory regarding the Grounders' language is that it's a deliberate code they created. The nuclear war was only 98 years ago, afterall; that doesn't seem long enough to cause such a huge linguistic shift. Unless the Grounders suspect that the Mountain Men have ways of monitoring their conversations and developed a new language to keep their conversations secret from the folks at Mount Weather.
We Are With You Zack Snyder
I'm still 3 episodes behind I have to catch up.
The final two episodes of the season is a two parter.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureIs it just me or is Raven (Lindsay Morgan) getting prettier with each passing episode? I think it was the way she had her hair fixed, but man....
Didn't know Clarke was bisexual. But frankly, even if she was I was kinda hoping for a Clarke/Octavia thing.

You know that, when an episode begins with a plan being laid out in so much detail, something's bound to go horribly wrong, but I honestly did not see them going this direction, and I really have no idea where it could go next.
In theory that's a good thing, but it also means I've got a week of feeling anxious ahead of me now. So, feelings are . . . mixed.
I'm 80% sure that Lexa was faking it.
It's not that different from english, it's actually a pretty simple english variation, that one could easily translate back by trying. And sometimes even that is not needed, (eg. in the last episode, the Trigedaslang for "Be quiet if you want to survive" was very audibly "somethingsomething Shaddap!) which would make it a pretty crappy code. It could be partially artificial, with small groups enforcing the usage of some slang words for group identitification, but not as a secret language.
The wiki has a pretty cool analysis/dictionary on it
. Many words are used with a partially shifted meaning, (people=crew, healer=fixer, shadow=tree-cover, etc), there are some grammar shenanigans like "them" standing for all third person singlars in all subject/object forms, and the whole thing is pronounced in a slurred uneducated tone, by actors who didn't notice it's english roots.
So, for example, "your fight is over" = "Yu gonplei ste odon" (your gunplay is all done).
"I'm Oktavia of the Sky People, I seek safe passage" = "Ai laik Okteivia kom Skaikru en ai gaf gouthru klir" ("I'm, like, Oktavia, coming-from Sky Crew, and I go-for go-through clear")
"then we strike from the shadows" = "Den, oso na zog raun kom trikova" = (then us all zerg around come tree-cover)

Yeah, since then I've begun to notice how much the language difference seems to come down to pronunciation.
And I don't think Lexa was faking; so much was going their way, it's hard to imagine why she'd need to pull a big fake out here. That said, I hope her and the Grounders aren't done in the finale yet.
Ugh, if they kill off Raven in the Season finale, I'm gonna be so mad....
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!I'm just glad that even if this will be the end of Lexa's story, at least they managed to avoid the generic Bury Your Gays that last week's kiss implied. At worst Clarke will end up killing her, but even that is more interesting than that.
- Spoilers for "Blood Must Have Blood, Part 2"*
For two seasons, this show has drawn considerable dramatic power from the question "How far would you go to survive?" The answer, for Clarke, is pretty damn far. So far that I'm not sure how they're gonna handle Season 3; once you've burned children to death with radiation, there aren't many lines left for you to cross.
My guess is Clarke will join the "grounders" now.
Well, Jasper, looks like you can start pining for Octavia again.....
..... too soon?

Just watched the mid-season finale and...wow. Clarke, I feel made the least wrong decision, both saving the camp and giving Finn as quick and clean a death as it was possible to give him. But will Raven ever forgive her? I think not.
