  • Sol Invictus: A golden war hammer, enchanted for superlative durability and striking power. Against beings of an inhuman nature, the holy weapon sears their bodies upon contact.
  • First Rays of the Golden Dawn: A set of ten exceptionally long daggers, all identical in shape and size. Created using the greatest of mortal materials and craftsmanship, these blades straddle the line between mundane and supernatural in ability without being enchanted.
• Magic: Malcolm is an expert in light magic, specializing in offence in the form of light spears and beams from his fingers. He cannot do illusions, but he is capable of rather strong enchantments and healing.
• Personality: Malcolm is a celibate priest of the Trinity of the Morning Sky. As a man who wishes to protect 'all things that bask in the sun's light', he is a tireless defender of the weak and a warrior against evil. He is also a highly dramatic man who is rather jolly and stable in disposition. Since he embraces cooperation between different races and creeds, he also expects others to follow suit. Disrespecting others because of their bloodlines or their beliefs is something he greatly frowns upon, almost as much as criminal activity.
• Bio: As a devout worshipper of Solaire, the deity of high noon and strongest of the Trinity, Malcolm is charged with actively seeking out and eradicating enemies of civilization. He has spent his life carrying out his duty, rejoicing with every life he has saved and every evildoer he has vanquished. Driven by a sense of community amongst his fellow believers, Malcolm has also fought for equality amongst the races so that there could be unity between the people that live under the sun. A land without war or strife was what he desired, but he hasn't seen it quite yet. His focus soon changed upon hearing a solution to the 'Fragment Drought', however. Perhaps if he aided in the discovery of said treasure, he could lead by example and motivate people to strives towards a Grand Reconciliation as proposed by the Trinity's teachings.

Name: Origen “Ori” Cidolphus

Gender: Male

Age: 64

Race: Sylph

Appearance: Origen is a tall, thin man with shoulder length, black hair that is very well taken care of. His eyes are a dark gray with bruises underneath them from poor sleeping habits. He has a few scars here and there, with the majority of them on his arms stemming from his particular line of work. He is always clean shaven. Ori dresses simply but meticulously: a pair of spectacles perched on the bridge of his nose, simple leather shoes, a pair of pants, a well-fitting long sleeve shirt, and when performing surgery, a medical coat. His wings are a mottled gray and white color.

Weapons: A collection medical instruments including: scalpels, scissors, sutures, and so on. Primarily used for healing purposes. 5 throwing knives. 2 razor sharp daggers used for close combat.

Magic: Specialized in water magic that deals with the body, which he can use to harm or heal. Familiar with fire magic for battlefield cauterization and sterilization.

Personality: Origen is a cold, antisocial sort of person with a fastidious nature. He is difficult to get to know and even harder to befriend. He rarely speaks unless spoken to, and even then only in short clipped sentences. This stems from quite severe social anxiety. Should you get past that, however, he is a friend for life and will treat you with significantly more warmth. He prefers to heal, but will kill threats to his coworkers if they cannot be dealt with. Despises smoking and alcohol.

Bio: Origen was born to somewhat poor Sylphs living in Paladaeva who made their living serving a wealthy family. His family instilled in him a strong desire to always be clean and presentable, as that would help to conceal their poverty. He fell extremely ill in his early teens and had to spend the large portion of a year in the hospital. During this time, he grew fascinated with medicine and decided he would become a surgeon. He was accepted into one of the many universities of Paladaeva and graduated top of his class a few years later. He decided that magic would better his practice and began studying at the Witch Academy of Corros, where he learned water and fire magic. However, he was conscripted, as a medic, into their military to deal with rising pirate attacks from Blackmoore. The ship he was on fell under attack from pirates, and the two parties wiped each other out. Origen had to kill some pirates in this attack who were going to slaughter his wounded. The pirates were wiped out, and Origen’s ship was left with less than 5 survivors. After they returned to port, he resigned, and tried to deal with his loss and his kills. 10 years later, he finds himself in Rhynhold with a letter for an expedition in hand.

A quick little thing. Is there a policy on RP'ing multiple characters? I see a few posters have done that already.

I'm interested in joining, but I have a couple questions first.

1: What's the rate of technology in this world? Are we going the high-fantasy route or are there a few pockets of modernity?

2: Could any animal be a base for Beast Men? I wanna be an elephant.

For number one, at least, we were told that the setting is high fantasy but that the extensive use of magic makes it roughly equivalent with the 1920's. Some places are less developed than others.

The best description I could give this world would be this: The society and technologies of Discworld with the High Fantasy feel of D&D.

So I take it a primitive musket would not be allowed?

I believe gunpowder weapons are a thing, don't quote me on that though.

• Gender: Female
• Age: 26
• Race: Human
• Appearance: "Why hello there."
• Weapons: The Crossbone, a massive crossbow that fires magically conjured bolts the size of small javelins. Her pipe is also surprisingly heavy for it's size and she is skilled enough with it to use it as a defensive weapon if need be.
• Magic: Primarily wind and earth magic required to conjure up her bolts but also enough to imbue hem with various magical effects.
• Personality: A joker and fun-loving woman who loves the thrill of the hunt and other excitement. She always keeps her pipe and... Whatever she smokes near her. She is however not used to other people so she can be a bit forward and completely ignorant about the concept of personal space.
• Bio: Maria have liver on the Isle of White ashes ever since she was a little girl, never knowing her parents and always been moving from place to place, picking up clothing, food and other things as she needed it. Sometime during her young years she acquired the Crossbone and became very proficient in using it to combat the hazards of the island.
