I pray I won't be hearing people such as Ceelo (however you spell it), rappers, Brad Pitt, or any other celebrity will be voicing the characters. 9 times out of 10 they aren't good and probably won't sound remotely like kids!
However, in these days, having an "All star cast" in films is the way to go. Money..

Supports cartoons being cartoony! So, Original! Patty and Peppermint Patty are going to be in the same movie. Perhaps the former won't be outright named onscreen so it won't get confusing?
I'm kinda puzzled about Shermy's description, since in every old strip I remember him appearing in, he was pretty much a jerkass who hated Charlie Brown. From the description, shouldn't they have used the much better known and fitting Franklin for that role? I really liked Franklin, and frankly, this cast sounds alittle bit too white.
So Little Red-Haired Girl will be at the very least voiced. Hmm.
Also, after a Google search, Venus Schultheis looks like she could be a live action Peppermint Patty. Patty was my favorite character from the strip, so I approve so far.
Wait, minor characters like Original Patty and Shermy will appear in this, yet Rerun (who became a major character in the last decade of the strip...and is the younger of both Lucy and Linus) won't appear? I actually liked Rerun, sad he doesn't get the recognition that every other Peanuts character gets.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!New-ish trailer!
I think this might be the most creative use of CGI since The Lego Movie.

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. The song didn't bug me as much as it should, but considering that Peanuts Charlie Brown and the Gang go so well with classical music I'm hoping this to be a trailer slip up thing.
Never Trust a Trailer, Never Trust a Trailer, Never Trust a Trailer....

Glad at least the movements and exaggerated expressions of the characters still feel like the oldschool cartoons despite being in CGI.
