Just watched a pre-air of Sabagebu! and I was plesently suprised by the Genre Savvy narrator and how they parodied common Shojou tropes.
So, Sabagebu. Decent. Needs a larger budget. I don't recall the narrator from the manga, and I think they played up the Les Yay a bit, but it's been a while since I read it. I'll give the second episode a chance, but I'm not set on following it yet
Looks like a "lots to try out, but little to look forward to" season:
From previous season (2):
Jojo Part 3
Hunter x Hunter
Definitely watching (6):
Ai Mai Mi ~Mousou Catastrophe - Binged the first season and love its wackiness.
Hanamonogatari - Just hope it doesn't get postponed again
Glasslip
Sword Art Online II: Phantom Bullet
Yama No Susume 2 - The first season is just adorable
Yami Shibai 2 - A hidden gem that needs more love
My expectation is fairly high for these (5):
Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Sabagebu
Sailor Moon Crystal
Space Dandy Season 2
Zankyou No Terror
I'm curious! (18):
Akame ga Kiru!
Aldnoah Zero
Ao Haru Ride
Barakamon
Fate/kaleid liner PRISMA☆ILLYA 2wei!
Futsuu No Joshikousei Ga Locodol Yattemita
Hanayamata
Himegoto
Jinsei
Magimoji Rurumo
Minarai Diva
Momo Kyun Sword
Rail Wars
Shirogane No Ishi Argevollen
Shounen Hollywood -Holly Stage for 49-
Sin Strange+
Tokyo ESP
Tokyo Ghoul
Might binge later: (1)
Free! Eternal Summer - The stupid ending ruins the otherwise great first season, I'm not gonna touch this series until it ends.
Sabagebu! is like C3, but worse. C3 was one of those series I found worked because it was somewhat darker than expected. Sabagebu! just treats everything as a joke, while failing to be funny a lot of the time. I like the design of two of the characters, and the voice of one of them, but that's about it. Personalities, not sure yet, but they kind of seem a little obnoxious. The narrator just ruins the flow, and the pet is tacked on. Not to mention, they're about shooting, not survival.
Check out my fanfiction! The premise to Zankyou no Terror offends me.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. The Genghis Gambit is already unsavoury enough, but to actually do it because you think your country has grown too comfortable not trying to murder and subjugate everyone around it is despicable.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.![]()
I agree. Shinichiro Watanabe doesn't really strike me as a guy who wants Japan to go back to its Imperialist ways. That would include Xenophobia and it would conflict with Wantanabe's love of Western culture. If anything, it's about a girl who want to get away from her life and these two terrorists provide that. May I remind you that these kind of stories can end badly as well as good.

It's just that We Have Become Complacent is a suspiciously common theme in Anime, from the early days of Captain Harlock all the way to Code Geass, Attack On Titan, and beyond. "Our country is asleep, peace has made us weak, we've been slacking off", etc. etc.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
Well, Attack on Titan is more of a general sense, or rather, it's specifically related to that setting rather than advocating imperial Japan I think. Humanities position in that isn't really analogous to modern japan.

No, but I've heard that a reason why AOT was so popular was this mentality. And loner angry young men changing things, like in Sanctuary or Akumetsu... that too gets on my nerves.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Argevollen's first episode offers some fun real-robot goodness. II liked how they emphasised just how extraordinary a weapon a Mo Cap Mecha is.
What's precedent ever done for us?>my reaction to the first episode of Tokyo Ghoul
I can take that as a recommendation right? Kool.
Argevollen: The real robots look like Battle Tech. The Argevollen looks like your standard anime mecha. Hah! First episode was mainly intro, so hard to hard to say a whole lot. Not sure which members of the cast(other than the obvious) are important yet.
Hm, couldn't get into Tokyo Ghoul. Something about the general tone just turned me off
Argevollen was okay. The 2D animation was a bit weak and I dislike the lead, but it managed to stay watchable throughout
Locodol is eh. Emphasis is on the Slice of Life side of things rather than comedy or yuri subtext
Definitely not watching Tokyo Ghoul, may give the other two a second episode
@Argevollen: Oh my God I haven't been so bored since Gundam Unicorn.

Just added Ai Mai Mi ~Mousou Catastrophe to the list. I can't find a reliable English source, but there's a PV with airing dates.
