As mentioned, Nozaki is very good.
Survival Game is a bit Hayate the Combat Butler-esque, in that it has a snarky narrator making fun of things as they happen, and a cast full of horrible people being horrible to each other. I'd call it a pretty good comedy but I can easily imagine someone hating it.
Barakamon is a bit more atmospheric than actually funny, but when it works it works. Second episode was a step down from the first though.
I watched episode 1 of Nozaki. I felt the humour was trying too hard. The subversions aren't hard to spot but if you're not familiar with them I daresay they won't click with you, then there's no comedy.
The leads are good though. In dynamics and character they're not bad. I just don't think it's written to make the best use of them.
I point this out not to continue a tirade of my jadedness but because I believe multiple viewpoints are healthy.
Eh, Sawano's stuff really sounds similar in most of his works, and it's no exception in Aldnoah Zero.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFmGNqji4u0If that's the reason I'm given, I'm going to avoid Aldnoah Zero. Just makes me think it's overhyped crap, whether it's true or not.
Check out my fanfiction! You left the word "crap" out. It's important in the context. Something just being overhyped doesn't affect its quality. I mean, I enjoyed Kill la Kill, which is overhyped to hell and back.
The word "crap" is also relevant in the context in how much I care about what people think of my opinions.

Check out my fanfiction!I said no such thing. I said that if the only reason to watch it is the music then I think it's probably crap, because if there's nothing else of note to it than that, it's not worth my time.
Check out my fanfiction!
and you still aren't telling me wether you watched it or not and are still thinking that it should be bad for no reason other than "some dude on the internet praised the music above all else". that's no reason to call something "crap" or "not worth your time. I'll say it again, what utterly annoys me is that you're Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch. just try it, or else in my eyes your opinion won't be worth anything

my problem isn't people disliking Aldnoah in itself. it's people complaining when they haven't watched it and just read some random dude's comment on the internet
I'm sorry I sparked this. Usually, when a show has a very good soundtrack, I can sit through it even if it's otherwise crappy. It's a sufficient condition.
But Aldnoah is a Gesamtkunstwerk. It's got everything going for it. The plot is solid, the characters are interesting and yet not too over-the-top, the worldbuilding is poingant and interesting, the robots are cool.
All in all, it feels like a much less hammy Code Geass meets Gundam Unicron.
Oh, let me remember that glorious music:
(The series itself, despite the soundtrack and the graphics, was boring as fuck. The Spacenoid's supernatural telepathy thing completely broke my Willing Suspension of Disbelief...)
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.you could just
download the OST
I had no intention of watching Diabolik Lovers after getting through like what half or less of the first episode
but I did think the music was good enough to listen to for a while
MMORPGs are serious business.I'm not interested in music, or any other form of art, outside of a narrative context. If there's no story, there's no point.
Unless the music tells a story of its own.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

Pitching in for Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun.
Argevollen strikes me as the same brand of generic mecha as Buddy Complex so far, but somehow more interesting. Might make a thread for it sometime.
