All right guys - sorry if I kept you waiting but I'm going to write up a main post now. Should be up within the hour. On that topic, are you guys fine with my posting frequency or is the waiting too much? If the latter, I recommend chatting it up with your fellow PC characters (good job tricksterson and nman) or composing songs to spontaenously sing.
Only slightly kidding on the last one.
Just a thought. If Barnabus is chasing the party out, we should probably get the initial investigation done soon - somebody's character should suggest an alternative place to meet up so that the characters can consolidate information and plan their next step.

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.A question. Is the GM (a.k.a. Fantasy Liver) going to control all the NPC actions, or are we allowed to take certain liberties? (Like if I slipped in a few lines of small talk before doing something that would require the GM's input.)
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Not perserved, but cut and sealed within a melted substance due to tattoos that have helped Dae throughout the years track down more Goblins before she gave up.
Sorry, brain fart. Yes, perserved. She wouldn't carry around Goblin flesh unperserved. Those creatures stink to the high heavens and no amount of cleaning will get the stench off.

For the purposes of full disclosure - I was the one who raised the issue (via PM), but if you want to bring this to open discussion I'm fine with it too. I personally have no issues with a scrapbook of goblin skin as a narrative device in a fictional work, but in-character, I can imagine that an open display of it might not necessarily be welcome among the Good / Neutral-aligned characters, or any character from a culture where taking body parts as trophies isn't socially-acceptable behaviour. (EDIT: And the one goblin in the party will definitely not be happy, of course.) I'm also not sure what direction the GM would like to take the tone of the RP in, so I suggested taking up that issue with Fantasy Liver to see if he was okay with it. But sure, polling the other players might be a good idea too.
(And for context: Gram is trying to have his lunch!)

Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I don't really care one way or the other about who's got a book made out of what, but what I do object to is simply adding random items to your character's inventory that was never even mentioned in the signup, when it's convenient. We should be doing what we can with what we have, using such scarcities as opportunities to think outside the box and use what we do have, instead of just making up an item that solves all our problems and removes any sort of obstacles.
Nman is also correct and, thanks to him bringing up the fact, I went back and checked your signup. Since I already gave approval and because it is mentioned in the signup that your character hates goblins, I'll let Care keep the goblin skin. Now I don't make it a habit to go and check back on your signup pages (unless I see something specific) but make sure you stay to the confines of your Equipment/Abilities/Whatever list. The pieces of equipment that I'll allow you to Hand Wave are a change of clothes and some scant pieces of food. If you do want to add something after the fact that you think it would make sense for your character to have, PM me so I can say yes or no.
Also, the Dancing Dove's doormen are orcs not ogres. Of course, it might be hard for your characters to tell the difference
.

Well, that was the other point I forgot to bring up - it wasn't included in the character's equipment list, but I'm fine with handwaving minor items unless they mess around with gameplay or plot. But anyway, since the GM has given the "all clear", fair enough - I'll start writing around it. Bear in mind that at this point, only Gram and possibly Krelmer know about the book.

Please tell me I'm not the only one who got the Dragonlance reference in Pyrite's post. (Flint Fireforge FTW.)
