And then there's me staring at my week 92 initial playthough.
So for once, the RNG was nice to me. And by that, I mean that when I reloaded my game after the crash, it set me back before his resolve was tested, and back at 12 health. Go me. After doing a another run, the subsequent one didn't go down so well. Lost my Bounty Hunter in the first room to those damned Fungal Scratchers. They have a new attack specificly for marked targets, and it does a heap of damage. Poor guy didn't last, and I had to abandon the quest.
It did free up a space for the Abomination though! I had to dismiss some guys for a...less then stellar party, but they were kind of lost causes to maintain anyway. My thoughts on him so far is that if you can manage your stress levels well enough, he's going to be a powerful addition. His skills in his human form are not bad either. His normal attack has a natural stun chance, and his bile can soften enemies up enough for other guys. Too bad he can't pair up with the Leper. With him in his beast form, and a Leper that knows Hew, they'd tear through the enemies front ranks. Alas, its not to be. Here's to hoping I get a Hellion soon, I only have one, and would like a proper front line fighter that isn't the Graverobber.

I used to be able to plow straight through them, but for whatever reason they turn into a massacer every time I bring a Bounty Hunter.
But the Weald still isn't too bad if your party is properly prepared. Having a Plague Doctor with trinkets that boost their blight chance means you can blight things like the Fungal Artillery and Scratchers with ease, and having that kind of damage go out on hard to reach or tanky opponents helps out a ton. Being able to cure blight and bleed, two very common problems in the Weald is also incredibly useful.
Now the Warrens have proven problematic for me. Didn't start out that way, and its solely because of those wretches that vomit all over the place. Their crit rate is nuts, and the fact that they can disease you consistently is really frustrating. Everything else is manageable, if you know what you're doing.
Is the loot that good? I usually pass them up, because I never thought you really got anything of worth from them.

You should get a new one at the very least. Their usefulness against bosses is...not good, unless that boss is the Necromancer, but for places where Bleed and Blights are common, they can save a lot of money and grind down enemies into dust. They do need trinkets to support their abilities though.

After a rage-quit on a first-dungeon Collector, I'm back in the game.
It doesn't seem like every attack causes a debuff, too. Some do. Also, stress damage on Bloodletter's whip attacks is scary.
Abomination is kind of cool, though he probably requires a somewhat flexible party in terms of movement. For now I was using him in a second rank with a Highwayman in first rank with Point Blank Shot and Duelist's Advance; don't have any other non-religious frontliner than a Bounty Hunter yet.
Also, Madmen are really cheap. Courtiers and Cultist Priestesses are nothing compared to this guy.

Could be tied to the level of the dungeon. I noticed I wasn't getting hit as often with them when doing non-champion ranked runs. Granted, it could be entirely unique to the warrens too. I know the Butchers and Wretches do it for sure. Don't know what hit me that causes -X% heal received, but that was nasty.
The worst thing is the skeleton guard. Goddamn freaking 5 damage every turn as Ao E with a chance to stun? Bull. Just so much bull and so much hate.
ALL MY HATE
It has always been the prerogative of children and half-wits to point out that the emperor has no clothesFormless Flesh is dead. Finally found a jester, too, unfortunately I didn't read enough into the description of a mission in the Cove so I didn't pack enough stuff to be able to camp. Whoops.
Anyway I've now got two people up to level 3, so if I can get more to that level I can try for a run at the second necromancer.
The Swine King can be easily done with someone who can tank it up really good. Crusader and MAA are probably best for that since they can stack tons of PROT on themselves.
As for Flesh, DOT's, all of them. Since all fours parts of it share a healthbar, you can stack them on all four of them and then watch it melt from 40 damage a turn.
That is why the Hellion is one of my favorits. With the "If it Bleeds", and thew two trinket proc bleeds, she can basically make anything bleed
That is, if she can fucking land a hit god dammit.

Hellion is the best. If it bleeds, she can kill it. She definitely helped me a lot during fights against the Flesh bosses.
Speaking of bosses, how's the Collector boss, for those who fought it? I haven't met it yet, so I'm curious on what the fight is like. It's not harder than the Shambler, right?
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."I have her with the heal bleed/buff ability, wicked slash, If it bleeds, and the yawp. I think it is a pretty nifty combo.
But its the same as the leper. It is only good if it hits. And RN Gesus is a cruel and unforgiving eldritch god

As someone biased who got creamed by both, I'm gonna say the Collector is worse. He has slightly less health and doesn't throw all-party DOT's around, but when he summons his dudes, he summons all three of them in one sitting. Haven't seen a MAA Wraith, HWM Wraith is basically using Open Vein and Vestal Wraith heals for a lot of damage... on top of Collector having his own life steal.
Yeah, I haven't tried to fight the Shambler but the Collector is a bitch to fight.
Anyway, had two good runs, one in the Warrens and one in the Weald. The Jester I've got is really making himself worth it. I'm gonna take one more group on an expedition to get two more people to Level 3 and then try out a Veteran mission.
Quick question. Does the Bounty Hunters grapple work on the Prophet? I kind of want to tackle him eventually and been planning out my party to just mop the floor with him ASAP, but I kinda want to know what my Bounty Hunter should focus on. I have some pretty good trinkets that make it so he can shuffle people around with ease.
As far as I know he's 200% immune to move skills.
As for BH, have someone in your party mark the Prophet(Arbalest/Occultist), then go to town on him using Collect Bounty once two pegs have been knocked down.
MAA might be a good bet for that too to protect squishier party members from the rubble.

I've had two run-ins with the Collector. First one I had to retreat because his Vestal and Man-At-Arms ghosts kept ruining everything. The next time, it was on a Scout mission in the ruins, and it cost me all three of my group except the Abomination. Got him though, along with a gem worth 2500 gold.
Anyway, after two false starts I'm on week...seven? Eight? Nine? Either way a good ways in now. First Highwayman is still alive, sitting pretty at level three while I try and get a party strong enough to take down the Prophet (which I think I do, considering I have two Abominations with me and everybody is at least Level 1. I also have an Arbalest or two and I've heard that if you use their Flare ability it basically neuters the Prophet's ability to do his "falling rocks" attack.
