The Fantastic Four have to enter a dance off to save the community center from being torn down to build a strip mall?
Sorry, that's what my mind immediately goes to when I think 80s movie.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI disagree. I think it had some great scenes moments even when the Surfer wasn't on screen, like Ben and Johnny's discussion in the bar about where they'd like to be when the end comes, or Reed's verbal smackdown of the Nick Fury expy.
I also thought they handled the looming threat of Galactus really well, even though the Big G himself was pretty lame, in execution.
Fox need to do that Champions story where Doom takes over the world. Not having the Hulk is a bit of a blow, but the rest of the important stuff is available to them.
As an aside, I wonder if plotlines are part of the rights deal. I can think of stories that have basically been copied from X-Men to Avengers, and vica versa. Could Marvel be prohibited from doing a time travel story too much like Days of Future Past?
Am I a good man or a bad man?The second movie was a pretty good Human Torch movie, but the supporting characters - specifically, the rest of the Torch's family - were pretty unimpressive.

Well, they have Kang, so they very well could use him if they want a time travel epic.
Although Kang actually started as a FF villain (Rama-Tut), but he's become so much of an Avengers fixture since he should fall under the Quicksilver exception, at least.
They can use him as Kang and Immortus but not as Rama-tut is probably how it'll shake out.
Kang is a bit of a trick villain to use but if they do something like how Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes handled him, I could see it working.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersNot that I don't like Kang, but he never seems to realize that there are easier centuries to conquer than the one with superheroes living every three blocks. Of course, there was that time he tried to conquer the old west, and the Avengers still went back and stopped him. So I guess he just can't catch a break.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]He purposefully tried to lure the Avengers to the Old West though.
Because he's an idiot.

The second movie had some decent moments (Silver Surfer just casually leaning through Sue's force field just to show he could was pretty intimidating, I thought) and some not so decent moments (Reed dancing).
