'Ey, there, would y'mind if I joined? I have a character ready if you guys want.
- Name: Vince
- Age: Unknown. Around fifteen to nineteen.
- Gender: Male
- Appearance: (http://sta.sh/01434j1yzfhf)
He has reddish/brownish hair, a squarish/angular face, a cheap costume top hat, a slightly stained tank top and pajama's he grew out of (presumably) years ago.
- Personality: Vince is a Lazy Bum, he goes out of the way to be lazy. Though, this isn't out of idealism or cynicism, but because he can. When he isn't being lazy, he uses his magical powers to prank people, mainly for their reaction. He isn't a total jerk, though, and he isn't all lazy. In fact, he often has Pet the Dog moments and even tries helping if he can (by that, I mean if he wants to). He also usually tries minding his own business when he doesn't feel like pranking people. Usually staying out of things and all around not getting into fights. In short, Vince is a Technical Pacifist, he only fights if he has to, and even then, he only really knocks them out. He thinks killing people is too much work.
- Abilities: As stated in his personality, he has magical abilities. His most common ability is illusion-making, though he doesn't use this on people, he uses it on objects to trick people into thinking the object is something else. However, when needed, he can use the magical abilities for combat. Usually conjuring spheres of energy and using them as projectiles. He can also open up small portal-rift-things that laser missiles.

Hey, welcome to the thread!
There are a couple of issues with your signup. The big one, I think, is the reality warping aspect of it. Generally speaking, reality warping is pretty hard to handle well, even for people who've been at this for a while. As such, it probably isn't really advisable to start out with a character who can do that. It just doesn't really gel well.
The personality is also something that could do with some improving. It's kinda sparse, and since this is a game that is based around character interaction, it's best to have a well-rounded personality. This ties hand-in-hand with the reality warper thing; it's a definite problem to have someone be cynical and flippant while also possessing powers like that. It's generally not kosher to have characters act like that.
Another thing that's of note: it feels like he's somewhat self-insert-y, which isn't something we're too keen on.
Alrighty, and thank you for the feedback. I'll try to edit this dude and make his personality a bit more detailed.
As for the self-insert thing, rest assured, I know self-inserting usually leads to Mary-Sue type characters, so, I tend to stray away from self-insert. He's no self insert.
But again, I'll edit the guy and get ridda the reality warping.
Yeah, you found it.
The edits you made to the personality and whatnot are good, but I think you should do a bit more fleshing out. You don't have to do anything too radically different, just expand on it. There are previous signups in here that we've accepted that you can use as a guide. Personality's really important and it never hurts to elaborate more.
The wave-motion laser thing is a little iffy, too. Having powerful characters is fine, it just might not be a great fit for your first character to be really really strong. Might wanna pare it down a bit.
The edits you've made are all in the right direction, but I don't think they're quite enough. I know it kinda sucks having to go back and edit it a few different times, but I don't think they're as much as we would like.
So, yeah. No hard feelings meant or anything like that, but I can't let you in. Sorry, man. You're not precluded from trying again sometime in the future, but for now, the answer's no.
I have 4 in my avatar, but I will be using only Lelouch.
Name: Lelouch vi Britannia Age: 19 Gender: Male
Appearance: An image is in his page
Personality: Can be kind and easygoing, but becomes hard and cold when dealing with enemies, and is always dangerous. He opposes all who use their strength to prey on the weak, but also takes disturbing pleasure in destruction. Usually Chaotic Good. He doesn't show much of a sense of humor, but he gets jokes. Likes to win by manipulation, and is always willing to make a sacrifice for something more important. If he is thwarted, he will try more and more drastic measures until he succeeds or reaches the limits of his ability. He always holds back his trump card until the last second. Almost everything he does is out of compassion, despite his cruel means to his ends.
Abilities: He can give anyone a command that they will follow... once. He needs direct eye contact, with the sole exception of reflections, and has already used Geass on himself. He may also have Code, which grants immortality, but it may also be an epileptic tree; he does not plan on needing it anytime soon. He is also a tactical genius.

Is this good? Anything I didn't specify stays true to Code Geass, but I think I got everything important.

My new plan is so secret that even I cannot understand its full scope!Yo, welcome to the thread!
Barring some elaboration on the personality, the signup's alright. You got the password, too, so that's a good thing, too.
Thing is, though, that I'm not sure Lelouch is a good fit for the thread. It's not that he's too powerful or anything, but the bit about being able to control other characters (even if it's just once) is a little iffy. That's not to say that you can't do it: if the other player's fine with it, then there's no problem. It's just that I'm not sure it's a great thing to have your first character be doing. It's something that's not necessarily wrong, but a bit tricky to do well.
You think there's somebody else you might like to try to do a signup for ? I'm not turning you down or anything, I just think you might have a better time getting into the swing of things with a different character.
I'm probably not even going to be using Geass very much, as using it for something when I don't need it makes it useless when I do need it. He's going to mostly be a Badass Normal with an emergency superpower, and is fairly capable just on his own. Updating the personality now.
My new plan is so secret that even I cannot understand its full scope!oh, right, this game exists (knew i was forgetting something lately).
in any case, i had some interest in joining the formal rp but obviously can't (still on my watchlist, however. you never know) and considered dropping by here. i have a plethora of oc's that i could drop in (that may or not be recycled from other freeforms or just ideas i haven't had the time to impliment elsewhere) but i also feel like there are one or two canon, pre-existing characters i could try my hand at (vash the stampede comes to mind, for one). any particular preference for one or the other?
[forum cryptid: it/it's]my guys, i know.
in any case,
Name: Vash the Stampede
Age: 181, according to the Wiki (it's worth noting that while i've seen the official anime, i've not yet had time to go through the entire manga yet, so i'm basing this off of his anime characterization)
Gender: Male coded? i don't know what with the whole plant thing.
Appearance: Avatar on hand
◊. 5'10", looks like he's in his mid-twenties, spiky blond hair and occasional round yellow glasses. Big-ass red coat.
Personality: Friendly and easygoing, upbeat and optimistic. Entirely pacifistic because he's horrendously broken. His entire personality is due to him taking the high road (i.e, being the good guy) while his brother tried to kill off every last human on the planet Gunsmoke. Vash is often aloof and only takes things seriously when hard-pressed. Quick to make a joke and quicker to consume every donut within the vicinity, Vash's life is that of a wanderer who's happy to make friends.
( note: while the information that follows in this set of parentheses is canon, i recognize that it could be in conflict of the rules and would be 100% happy to leave it out for the sake of rule adherence. Vash is known to be something of a womanizer within the canon and occasionally flirts with and hits on women he meets. This has always been Played for Laughs as he is easily brushed off and/or embarrassed by the target of his attempts. in reality, this is all part of Vash's careful act to present the image of a simple-minded, unassuming fool in order to convince people that there is absolutely no way in the nine rings of hell that he is actually THE legendary gunman.)
Abilities: He's one hell of a gunslinger. 180 years of practice has given Vash near-superhuman abilities with a pistol.
extended lifespan; Vash is actually a Plant, an inter-dimensional being with a tremendous amount of power that allows him to live many times that of a human.
extra strength (not sure it's at the level of super strength, but definitely more than your average human), high IQ, extra agility and focus (which feed into the gunslinger thing above), and telepathy. There's not a lot of times he uses that last one.

[forum cryptid: it/it's]Looks pretty good to me. You've got the right idea.
Got a few things to add, though. I'm sure you already know this, but having characters that're that skilled can go pretty wrong if you're flippant. I don't think you'd do that, but it still bears saying. You don't have to make him weaker or anything, it's just something to keep in mind.
The other thing is that the personality section could be beefed up a bit. You don't need to write or an essay or anything, I just think it'd help if you added a little more detail. Character interaction's a big deal here, so it's always a good idea to have a robust personality.
But, yeah, it looks good and just needs a few touchups here and there. Soon as you get that done, I'll look it over and then I'll let you in.

That's fine, man. If you don't wanna join, you don't have to.
