I watched it. Wasn't caught up on news for the show. So Brandon Routh making his appearance was a genuine surprise for me. Desparo's actor looks like he out of wrestling locker room mostly in his hair and facial hair styling. But then I learned it was Desparo as in the supervillain of DC. Not sure if picking an alien as an enemy for the Flash for the beginning of Season 8 was wise since Supergirl would have also been filming and wrapping up their final season, and Lo T already dealt with enough aliens but what are you gonna do?
We'll have to wait and see. Despero referred to Barry destroying "our world". That makes me think maybe Despero conquers the Earth sometime in the future, and whatever Barry does to cause The End of the World as We Know It was a backfired attempt at getting rid of the alien tyrant.
Well that was interesting.
Any bets on who's doing this?
It could be Despero himself, but that's pretty obvious.
One Strip! One Strip!I just want to know how Joe died.
Last I remember from last season, he was fine, wasn't he?
And why didn't Barry even remember?
In addition to all the other shit that started happening at the same time: Barry being accused of being a mole for Black Hole, Star Labs nearly having a melt down and needing to be shut down.
It's certainly a bunch of neat coincidences. Obviously something is going on, but what?
One Strip! One Strip!....huh.
That makes sense.
Dammit Thawne!
Oh shit! What if it is Thawne! Will we get the it was me Barry! meme in this series?
Sure, it'd be predictable, but in this case, I'd be ok with it.
One Strip! One Strip! They could get both Cavanaugh and Letscher to do it. Like have it turn out both version of Thawne are working together.
It was us Barry! It was always us!
Plus, I've been wanting a proper Thawne-off for a while between them.
One Strip! One Strip! So Jefferson had pretty good stuff with Barry throughout the episode. They really got to have chemistry compared to Crisis where they had some of a scene together. When Deon said that there was a negative Still Force I thought that there would be more than Thawne to face as the Forces for all their problems are a unit of four. I am hoping there is more than just Thawne having used negative versions of all four forces. Because then Thawne would be too over powered that he is a crossover level threat instead of Barry's arch enemy. Also Destro chose then of all times to believe that the Flash had gone rogue? Barry was working to try to get rid of his powers so Destro could have helped Barry instead of going for killing. I get he's desperate to stop the destruction of Earth but his timing was weird this episode.

Right.
I kinda spoiled myself by checking the spoiler that it actually was Thawne because I looked at Yakuzu's spoiler. So I got spoiled on my own guess being right.
That being said, I was hoping for more than one Thawne. Where's my Letscher! Where!?
One Strip! One Strip! This season seems to be the "Arrow Season 5" of Flash. The Win Back the Crowd season.
Eh, while I would love that, let's not get ahead of ourselves. This is a crossover, after all.
Let's hope they don't blow all of their creativeness into this one and the rest of the Season becomes a chore.

And the resolution of the episode was also great. I just hope that everybody who had a cameo so far comes back for the finale.
