Osric Chau will play Ryan Choi!
If you don't know why this is exciting: Gail Simone based Ryan Choi on Osric Chau and Chau has basically wanted to play him ever since.
Pretty much.
Also, props to Cisco for using the Flash Gordon theme.
I never realized how much I'd wanted that until it actually happened.
Not totally sure they'd really kill Barry though. After all, Oliver is supposed to die in this as well, and we still don't know what deal he made to save Barry and Kara back then. That may play a role in thing.
One Strip! One Strip!I hope not. I've always disliked the CW-verse's overuse of the Replacement Goldfish trope.

For a while now, I've wanted them to do a riff on the Superior Spider Man "arch villain takes over hero's body, tries living their life better than they did" thing.
"My name is Eobard Thawne, and I am the fastest man alive. To the outside world, I'm Barry Allen, the savior of Central City. But secretly, with the unwitting help of his friends at Star Labs, I use my powers to remake this world, and prove that I am the hero that Barry Allen could never be. I am the Flash!"

And now I have the Flash Gordon theme song stuck in my head. Flash, I love you, but we only have fourteen hours to save the multiverse!
It took me half the episode to realize Chester was Chunk. Probably because he doesn't look like Chunk and I didn't see his name written out, but still... d'oh. As someone who loves the Wally era, I feel like a dummy.
I also love we have a classic "mad scientist does something impossible" origin instead of another character folded into "dark matter contamination" myth arc.
Killer Frost's new costume is so much better.

I wonder if Chester is eventually going to be Cisco's replacement if Cisco leaves? I know there have been reports that the actor was thinking about leaving the show (which is why he de-powered himself at the end of last season), so perhaps they introduced another character with similar genius-level gadgetry skills to replace him if the actor wanted to leave?
I do really like Chester, though, especially the entire DIY, "let's upload this to YouTube" thing and the fact that the first thing he said when he woke up was "What's up, party people!"
Hey, when Wally comes back, maybe he and Chester will become friends?
And yes, Killer Frost's new costume — based on her Justice League of America Rebirth costume
— was great and I like her storyline this year so far.

Hey, Barry took Wally's love interest, archenemy and I'm pretty sure a few of his stories in this show, why not his friends too?
Whatever happened to Linda anyway? Last we saw her she still had Dr. Light tech. I was hoping she would be a recurrer as the good Dr. Light, but then she up and vanished.
Also, prediction: if Killer Frost chooses a name (which, admittedly, I doubt she will - that felt like more of a gag), it's going to be Crystal. They're saving Louise for an inevitable new Evil Counterpart.

Yeah, I wish Linda-as-Doctor-Light would have stayed, too. It looks like the actress might have been busy on The Shannara Chronicles, so they couldn't continue using her. (Fun fact: Malese Jow will also be voicing a character on the upcoming Amazon cartoon adaptation of Invincible.)
I have in my head an episode of The Flash that solely concentrates on what Wally has been up to — living and working in Blue Valley, realizing that's where Linda has been hiding, too, and them becoming friends, and then investigating the mysterious "Ghost of Blue Valley," which turns out to be Max Mercury.

So apparently Mohinder is still up to mad science. I thought he learned his lesson after the whole nearly turning into a bug thing.
Time to fk the timeline, Barry!
Well that is certainly apocalyptic!
Experiencing all of the timelines like that cant be good and hey is he turning into the lightning bolt?

Ok, who let Light Yagami in here?Well, they finally found a way to keep Barry from buggering time line.
Just erase it.
The anti-matter wave on the timeline was a good device to keep Barry from time-traveling and also sideline him for most of the episode.
Also, I am loving Frost's attempts at becoming an actualized human being with feelings and hobbies and all that. But her snark was great, too. I want her to be the Daria of the group, dammit.
Okay, the evil organization that recruited Ultraviolet is definitely Black Hole.
Their logo was even the swirling thing from the comics. I do hope that their leader isn't the same as it was in the comics — the show has overused Gorilla Grodd now way too much. I do wonder if this means we're going to see Meena Dhawan
soon? Perhaps she'll be the Big Bad in the second half of this season, which would be interesting.
