"Tiger, I need your help." Jessica said as she walked in with a clipboard. "Is our World War I exhibit supposed to have thirteen and not fifteen artifacts? Because I'm pretty sure someone either stole those two helmets or put them on the World War II exhibit—" She stopped when she saw Natasya, which prompted her to raise an eyebrow. "Am I... interrupting something?"

The Warehouse

On the building next to the warehouse storing one of his servers- especifically the server which he had used to hack Rossum- Shadid waited on the rooftop, sitting on a reclining chair, covered by an umbrella. From his spot, he could see the only way into the warehouse, although anyone going in couldn't see him. He continued to eat his sunflower seeds as he waited, patiently, for the one who would bite the bait. Then... he would find his way into Rossum's little pitiful network.

"I'm just finishing up over here, I'll be done in a few minutes," Tiger said to Natasya. "Some of the exhibits had to be taken apart during the repairs, and we're still putting a few back together." She turned to Jessica.

"Interrupting something...?" she asked. "Oh no, I'm just talking to a visitor. And someone probably just misplaced the helmets. Those construction workers weren't very good with following the instruction we left..."

"Oh, well, don't let me interrupt you." Natasya easily replied, before approaching the exhibit.

Her attention was regained by the new arrival, and the brief exchange the woman had with Tiger "What would you be interrupting? She and I are the only people here...Well, I suppose she was busy with the exhibit here, though I wasn't really doing anything...Wait, did you say that you have World War exhibits?"

A moment later, Natasya looked back down at her brochure, while adjusting her glasses. A moment later she turned the brochure over "Oh! So you do...How did I miss that?"

"It's a fairly new exhibit." Jessica said, crossing her arms. "America's involvement with World War I is not as well known as our involvement with World War II, so in order to obtain funding for the former, we had to open an exhibit on the latter." She then leaned forward, giving her a very wide, very forced smile. "May I help you with anything else?"

Any irritation that Jessica might have been directing Natasya's way went completely over her head "I'm not very sure, actually, I haven't really perused the museum very thoroughly for sometime. Just a cursory visit or two, for 'unrelated' issues. I'm not really up-to-date on the exhibits here."

A moment later, Natasya chuckled to herself "It's actually a bit amusing that you're using an exhibit to raise money to illuminate the United States' involvement with WWI when much of the U.S.'s early involvement in WWI was centered on war profiteering...Oh, do you have anything on the sinking of the Lusitania? I do hope so. That one event really says so much about the U.S. during that period."

It had been sometime since Doctor Dead had been able indulge in her nerdy side, but it had been quickly raised by this visit to the museum.

A moment later, Natasya glanced over towards Tiger "Are there any other exhibits that might be, uhm, out-of-order?"

Hearing such a comment come from the mouth of a normal visitor, Jessica suddenly looked really surprised. She shook her head slightly before leaning forward again. "How much would you say the sinking of the Lusitania really influenced the war declaration of 1917? I myself believed it was an ongoing proccess, really. What about the conspiracies surrounding the event, such as whether there was any British involvement?"

"Oh, absolutely an ongoing process. It wouldn't be unreasonable to say that the U.S. had already picked it's sides well before the war properly started. I dare say the only thing that delayed U.S. involvement for so long was the desire of the American public to maintain the long-standing Monroe doctrine and the interests of major manufacturers in maintaining sales to both sides. The sinking of RMS Lusitania was clearly just a sparkpoint for the politicians to wrangle in the public. Honestly, it wasn't all that surprising that the ship was sunk, and it wouldn't surpise me if they had expected to eventually garner that kind of reaction from the Germans. It's entirely possible that both the British and American governments had been hoping for just such an event. The Zimmerman telegram one the other hand, was an entirely sort of issue, considering that exposing it's existence also exposed British Intelligence's activities to the U.S.. And then, of course, you start having to look at the remaining political grudges between the U.S. and Mexico, and all the many unfurling complexities to be found there. It really is sort of amazing how many lives were...am I rambling?" After that long, nearly breathless spiel, Natasya finally ground to a halt. She didn't always recall that others might want to be a part of the conversation too.

"So sorry about that, I just don't have many people to talk to, so when I get started-...I'm about to do it again, sorry." Natasya again drew to a pause, before clearing her throat and adjusting her posture "It's nice to meet you, my name is Natasya."

“Go to Hell you bastards!” she shouted, sending her arm like a tentacle and slicing another snake's head off.

And really I was just just noting that World War I, at the time marked one of the greatest periods of loss of life and war since the onslaught of the Mongols across Asia and into Europe. And that, really, the nations involved in WWI have significantly less of an excuse for the colossal loss of life at the time, considering the technological advances at the time. I mean, it certainly isn't as if Genghis Khan had the benefit of anti-biotics. The Mongols!...sorry, non-sequitur. Just thinking about Mongolian burial rights-...reining it in, and yes, I purposely set out to have a relaxing night, so talking British intervention and WWI politics sounds like a great way to round out the evening. And, maybe we can get back around to the Mongolians later on. Some of the beliefs surrounding Mongolian sky burials are absolutely intriguing. Here let me just-" A moment later, Natasya reached into her bag and pulled out a phone. With a few presses of her finger she turned it off. Stuffing it back into her bag, she abruptly pulled out a second phone. With some slight hesitation, she set it to vibrate.

"So, when exactly is later?...Is that weird? I mean asking when 'later' is. I mean, some folks mean, like, days later, where others mean significantly shorter stretches of time." Natasya asked, as she put her second phone into her pants pocket.

Tiger quietly watched Jessica and Natasya talk before smiling, deciding to let them be for now. She hadn't expected her friend to hit it off with anyone like that, but she wasn't about to interrupt it. Tiger picked up her clipboard and left to work on another section, rationalizing that she could always finish the job later. She went over to her own personal office on the same floor and started working on some papers that needed to be processed.

Judging by the age of this employee, there was a fair likelihood this person didn't know anything about the Bilderberg Group. He could try bribing the clerk, but that would involve spending money so that was out of the question. Isaac reasoned it would be best to look into this matter later, and he pocketed the note once more. "It seems you do not have the information I seek. I bid you farewell." He headed out of the store and went towards his bike. It was probably best to wait until he had enough info. Vigil might also be able to get some information about Bilderberg and this place. But that could wait, as there was still business to take care of. Judge Isaac mounted his pink bike and headed off towards the junkyard's address, keeping his eye out for any other activity in the area.

"One of the name's first appearances in recorded history was on Merchant of Venice, and I'd argue that World War I was a physical representation of the old's inability to adopt to the new except when it pleases the former... the fact we had concepts from wars held with muskets and swords being applied to a world with chemical weapons was truly outrageous. Sky burials are simply a way for them to manifest their beliefs, but if you want..."

Jessica looked at herself, putting her clipboard behind her back and nodding to the gift shop with her head. "The museum has a coffee shop, perhaps after my shift is done in a few hours we can meet up and... discuss the effect of late Cold War policies on Hollywood and music...?" She asked, punctuating that with a smile.

"Well, yes, the burial customs of all folks are but the manifestations of the beliefs of their respective people. I mean on the one hand you have many Asian cultures treating the body as a discard vessel, then you have others that feel the need to care for the body after death. I've often found that their burial customs often have more to do with what a culture believes about life, rather than death..." As before Natasya became a bit animated as she spoke, gesticulating at several points, before trailing off. She knew that when she started talking the issues of life and death, as much as she loved doing so, she tended to say more than she meant to.

She took a moment to clear her throat before, plastering on a fairly genuine smile for Jessica.

"Anwyay, I do love coffee. It's often the only thing that keeps me from murdering people, on my longer days. Well, nights more than days. And the culture war between the Soviet Union and the U.S. is arguably the more intriguing of aspects of the Cold War, so I see no problem with this plan."

Heavy Metal loosed a heavily distorted, and quite loud laugh as he saw his quary take flight.

"THIS KNAVE SEEKS TO PAINT HIS MESSAGE ACROSS THE SKY!" With that he shouldered his axe before launching several fragmentation grenades into the undercarriage of the flying automobile.

"NO CHALLENGER CAN BE ALLOWED TO FLEE HIS JUDGEMENT! THAT WHICH WAKES NOW CAN REST NOT, UNTIL SATISFACTION IS HAD!" With that declaration another order was transmitted to the Robo-Demonic Dragon-Emperor, stirring the mechanical beast to action. Loosing another bellow Rip Chord violently turned after the flying Volkswagon, before beginning to lope after it once more. Despite the screeching of it's metal components, Heavy Metal commanded his steed to extend it's wings and take flight after they're prey.

When Rip Chord took flight, the Volkswagen sped up a bit, and charged towards the Rail skyline in the distance. Its current flightpath put it heading in the financial district, where the countless skyscrapers and towers would give the small Beetle an advantage over the dragon when it came to weaving through the streets.

If Levi were to look up after hearing two loud sets of music with no visible source on street-level, he'd notice a flying blue coupe being chased by a robot dragon up in the nearby sky.

Rail Jail

The Great Zoltan was, in all honesty, not feeling so great. He'd been in the prison for all around five days, which coincidentally was the limit on how long her could live before he boils up in boils and most likely explodes. Or implodes. Or combusts. Maybe even all of the above. He was never able to test how he'd die before. He was frail, disheveled, and was quite pale without exposure to the sun. He gave a weak smile at the serving staff. "Ah, yes, thank you for making sure I get my protein, Chainik." he muttered in a reply before hastily steering himself away. The only reason he wasn't broken like a toothpick on his first few days because his parlor tricks helped lift a few spirits, thus bringing his status from Fresh-Meat to Punching-Bag. However, he doubted he'd survive to see light again, so he resigned for once in his life and had just tried to stay out of people's ways.

Having plonked down on one of the more empty tables he stared into his ruined meal, sliding his tray off to his neighbor when asked if he was going to finish that. Most hope gone he simply scanned the cafeteria, trying to pick out who to start a fight with. Even if it was his last days, he'd go out with a bang. That was just The Great Zoltan way.

Streets of Rail

After travelling some distance, Judge Isaac looked up in the sky and noticed a flying blue car being trailed by a metal dragon. This situation probably stemmed from the chase coming from the junkyard, so going there would no longer be necessary. Given how fast they were going there was no way he would be able to track them with his weapons, let alone even dent them. There was still the possibility of blinding them, but that would require the element of surprise and constant motion of the orb. There was also the issue of who was the greater threat. Only thing to do was watch the situation unfold and try determining that on his own.

Judge Isaac pulled over into a nearby alleyway, parked his bike, and pulled out his rope. After sealing the backpack back up, Isaac went to the side of one of the nearby buildings and began to climb it, using any protrusions and the rope to aid him. Once on top, he pulled out his binoculars and began scanning the streets below for activity while also observing the chase between the dragon and the flying car. Second line of order, either get the law enforcement on this situation or draw one of them over using the orb as a beacon.

He then checked the rooftop for any onlookers before resuming his observation.

Vigil, the warehouse

Shadid wasn't the only one watching the warehouse, although he was perhaps the only one doing so from nearby. Vigil had inhabited every camera in the building's vicinity she was allowed to access, and she had trained her electronic eyes on the building's data feeds too. The coverage wasn't perfect, sadly, but it was good enough for now.

The Watchdog was standing by in a parking garage one block over, ready to deploy at a moment's notice, but it wasn't exactly a subtle machine. Sending it in would make it quite obvious what had happened and who had done it. She would need a human for this, she knew. The question was, who to ask?

Alannah, leaving Rail University

Her afternoon classes finally over, Alannah headed home, deciding to skip the bus or a taxi and just walk. It was a nice evening, after all. Maybe she shouldn't be walking home on a friday evening, but the idea of being mugged didn't really phase her now. She had her power, and the fading light meant she was in her element now. She had her costume tucked in her bag under her notepads and laptop, something she'd taken to doing this last few days.

It wasn't much of a costume, really. Besides her cloak, it was just things she'd found laying around her apartment - A black t-shirt and some grey cargo pants. She'd found some black greasepaint in the back of a drawer that she figured she could use to further disguise her eyes, and she'd started wearing her contact lenses more often.

She still had that super-outfitter's card, and she had her father's illicit bank account. She could get a proper costume in a few days if she wanted. But that felt like taking too big a step towards running around the rooftops fighting crime, and she wasn't sure she wanted to do that yet. The fight in the park had left her shaking like a leaf, and she wasn't sue if it was from exhaustion, exhilaration or delayed terror.

No, for now she'd just use the stuff she'd put together herself, and only if she came across some emergency that actually warranted using her power. At lest, that was what she kept telling herself, anyway.

Rooftop
A homeless-looking man wearing a bathrobe, sandals, and a tinfoil hat was standing on the roof, looking through a collapsing telescope when Levi appeared nearby. A shopping cart was next to him, containing cans, bottles, a bindlestick, and a sleeping chihuahua, while a pop-up tent was next to it. A burning trash can was providing warmth. "Hey! This is my turf! Go find your own peeping ground! Maybe he's a friend. No you shut up! It's a trap! Oh, birdie!"

He seemed to forget about Levi and looked into his telescope again.

Rail Jail
Zoltan's neighbor greedily slurped up the offered cafeteria tray of food.

In the mess hall, there were dozens of men of varying builds and ages sitting around. The smaller ones probably wouldn't be too hard to beat up, but there was no telling what would happen. A few that stood out included a small Japanese man with a bleached mohawk, a large stocky midwestern-looking man with a mullet and thick beard, a fit and tall black man with a shaved head, a man who seemed average but had purple skin and no hair, a Mexican man who was even shorter than the Japanese man but as wide as he was tall, and of course there was the Russian man from the kitchen crew, who was now working a deep fat fryer.

"Certainly. I wouldn't want to keep you from your work, though...wouldn't that mean staying after closing hours for the museum?" Inwardly, Natasya found it a touch hilarious that she was acting as if she was worried about such a minor offense. Most of her work as Doctor Dead, at minimum, involved trespassing of one sort of another.

But the whole point of a civilian identity was to keep part of her life separate from her criminal enterprises.

Flying over the streets of Rail

If Heavy Metal could have frowned, he would have at the sight of his newest rivals attempts at eluding the Chosen Champion of the Robo-Demonic Overlords.

"WHAT FOOL-CREATURE IS THAT THAT IT THINKS IT CAN FLEE FROM THIS RIGHTFUL CHALLENGE!?" Heavy Metal bellowed out, his synthesized voice being transmitted through Rip Chord's speakers loudly enough to be heard for several blocks.

"WE HAVE BEEN TEMPERED IN RIGHTEOUS FIRE INTO THE DIVINE INSTRUMENTS OF METAL! AND YOU SHALL NOT ELUDE OUR GRASP! BE PREPARED!" With that Heavy Metal shredded out another chord, before taking his axe by it's stem, now wielding it as an actual battle-axe.

A moment later, Heavy Metal transmitted his orders to Rip Chord, causing the Robo-Demonic Dragon Emperor to briefly re-double it's efforts to catch the Volkswagen. Climbing through the air, Rip Chord suddenly slammed it's claws into the side of a building, it's leg's coiling beneath it as they absorbed the impact. A moment later, it pumped every iota of mechanical power through it's legs and wings launching itself forward with terrific power.

Unfortunately, this alone wouldn't be enough for Rip Chord to catch up to the flying automobile. But then again, that wasn't Heavy Metal's intention.

As the mechanical dragon prepared to launch itself forward, Heavy Metal himself sprinted up Rip Chord's neck before timing his own jump with his mount's spring action.

The driver of the Volkswagen might have noted a shadow overtake his ride, as Heavy Metal was catapulted though the air. With his axe held high, ready to drop upon the roof of the coupe, Heavy Metal released his battle cry "THE POWER OF METAL GIVES YOU WINGS!!"

Hopefully, he stuck his landing, as it was a long way down to the ground.
