Explaining why the characters are idiots doesn't stop them from being idiots. I mean, just in plain text, Kazuma was signing off letting her master keep up a vendetta on the God who saved his and her Master's life. And he watched her set up the same system that got her corrupted in the first place. And he still owed Yato a favor for hundreds of years. That is a pretty major dick move. Bishamon barely gets forgiven for being insane, although I have no idea what she told herself to explain why she didn't fight back against him.
It's just hard care about these characters when all of their problems are so self-inflicted
I'm disappointed, Tropers. Very disappointed
You might think they are idiots, but I can assure you they are some of the most realistic idiots I've seen in anime.
I've read all the manga chapters and I have yet to see the anime so I cannot wait until I am free to see it!!!
Viina. My. Goodness. She's my favorite goddess so far. Yato is just a gem, and Yukine had some serious character development. Like. What.
Hiyori certainly is amazing, and her brother is so silly I roll my eyes every minute.
I promised myself I wouldn't do it, but I started another fanfiction. I. I really need to stop this. But its going well and centers around Hiyori quite a bit. The name I'm stuck on, though. I want it to go with the theme of Xgami. Calling it Hiyorigami would be a little....weird.
I mean. It would technically fit, but I don't want something so obvious.
I'm a bit dissapointed that Hiyori's love of MMA isn't mentioned or used much later, though.
That does sound much better! Thank you!!!
Now there's the matter of some snazzy goddess names. Two of them are western gods they encounter in heaven. And then I shall begin my 38th fanfiction!
Ah. I also was on Amazon today and put like a ton of Noragami cosplay accessories in my wish lists. If only I had the money...haha
wouldn't you want to find out for yourself first before you buy anything and possibly waste you're money? That's why I never buy anime or manga unless I've already watched/read it and enjoyed it.
That being said, Noragami is an incredibly good series that I'd buy, but in the end it's up to your tastes, not mine.
So, I picked up volume 1 of this manga on a whim, having never even heard of it before seeing it in the F.Y.E. and picking it up. I've only read the first chapter, but it seems interesting so far.
Wow, Yato must really have fallen on hard times if he's attracting supplicants through Bathroom Stall Graffiti. Anyway, his first case of the manga is to help a girl with a bullying problem. Seems the other students don't take kindly to the accommodations she's getting (though the chapter doesn't go into detail about what exactly they're for). So, by "helping", Yato apparently means "slaying Ayakashi" which are really creepy embodiments of negative emotions, or something like that.
But even then, it merely stopped the active harassment and not the underlying resentment. But Tomone is having none of Yato's victim blaming, and as someone who was often bullied when I was in school, I can't say I blame her. And now Yato is without a shinki. At least for now. I haven't read the other two chapters of the volume yet. How many volumes of this are out right now?

I'm very glad this series is back. And I'm feeling a lot more empathy for Veena now. Still, I feel this show is too cruel at times, like with the death of the Regalia that triggered the Yato/Bishamon conflict (it was a brilliant gambit, I just don't like it on principle.) Also I have a terrible suspicion she will lose even more Regalias before this is over...
Btw I really like the leitmotif that plays during dramatic moments (yehyehyehyehyehyehyeh!)
