And those people still fall under the category of those who dislike the film for misogynistic reasons. The fact that there are some misogynists who disguise their opinion does not give the creators and the supporters justification to dismiss all those who doubt/dislike the film for non-misogynistic, legitimate criticism.

Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing. The whole thing I think could have worked with a full female cast IMO if they had just watched the original for character personalities, chemistry and dynamics.
I mean there was only one straight comical character in the group with Peter and you would need someone lewd and sarcastic like say Sarah Silverman to play it well. Ray and Egon were specifically Mythbusters, not intentionally comedic but Ray's giddiness and Egon's Comedically Serious helped them play off each other and Peter play off them. Winston was the normal guy and was the weak link in the group and could of used some help.
Instead like the trailer pointed out we got 4 people trying and failing to play Peter at the exact same time, turning out to be ludicrously unfunny. To the point of travesty because they tried to compare itself to the original every chance the got, especially in the second half, if it tried to distance itself from the original it might have been just a 'it was ok' movie.

One of the things that I appreciated a lot about Star Wars: The Force Awakens is that it managed to keep in touch and pay homage to the original saga while also starting a new story with new characters. I feel that that's the kind of approach this film should've taken.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Pretty much, yeah. This isn't the first time the Alt-Right have used people with less unsavory opinions as shields for deflecting criticism and it won't be the last.
This is one of the Alt-Right's favorite methods of faking legitimacy: tricking progressives and moderates into fighting with each other over anti-SJ issues. Unfortunately, the cast and crew fell hook, line, and sinker for the ploy.
- Misogynists: Stupid bitch movie with dumb bitch cast, lol.
- Cast: I'm so sick of hearing these awful comments by misogynist assholes.
- Anti-rebooters: Who are you calling a misogynistic asshole?! I HATE YOU FOREVER!!! GONNA SPAM YOU WITH DEATH THREATS AND PROTESTS!!!
- Misogynists: >:D

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.So basically misogynist opponents are misogynists while non-misogynist opponents are tools of misogynists.
Jesus bloody Christ, this is practically a prettied up, less unsavory version of the whole "Everyone who doubts/dislike the idea of this movie is a misogynist, one way or another."
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.Personally I thought was an ok Melissa Mccarthy movie, several other movies she has done were a lot better.
As a Ghostbusters reboot it was horrible and pretty much ruins any chances of an actually decent reboot.
When I first heard that Paul Feig and Melissa Mc Carthy were involved, I wad actually pretty psyched because damn, both Bridesmaids and Spy were just amazing.
And then I saw the trailer.
Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.I mean, at least it's not another Batman v. Superman argument.
Look all I'm saying is that it's a patently ridiculous double to say that Superman is uncaring or unheroic because he isn't pleasant enough while saying The Avengers are the real deal when they decided to simply forgive Wanda for unleashing the Hulk on innocent civilians and then continue to make mistakes that cost innocent people their lives.
Dude, I'm not even referring to that.
Seriously, we've had two threads locked because there were so many Bv S arguments going on. Please don't bring those arguments here.

Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? What I would have liked to see done with the concept is to have the original Ghostbusters die while saving the city in the opening (you'd have to use the fake shemp method and just show the backs of their heads), and then the four leads all encounter paranormal activities, so they visit the now-abandoned firehouse to see if there's any notes or info, and while doing this they joke about being the new Ghostbusters, a joke comment which spirals into them actually taking the role. Maybe it's a little cliche, but it would at least make the ghostbusters into some sort of legacy, kind of like "the people in the suits may change, but the goal is still the same".

Wow. So basically:
People who say misogynistic things about this movie: Misogynists
People who raise legitimate criticisms about this movie: Misogynists in disguise
I mean, I hated the trailer because I thought the humor was unfunny, special effect horrendous for a 2016 movie, and that I'm tired of reboots in general, so clearly I'm secretly a misogynist myself.
