Somehow I find Rick's motives to be quite shadowy at times, like they're so random and are just there to make things happen. Rick also has the feeling of a Cuckoo Cloud Lander, in the smart drunk sence of the word.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWhat is that stuff drooling out of his mouth? What kind of health is this guy in? What kid calls their grandpa by this first name?

I'm uncertain as to whether it's drool or vomit. Likely a mixture of both.
As for the second, Rick probably doesn't like to be called "grandpa"
Well I guess that makes sense
Possible mix of vomit and saliva. Moving. What kind of kid call their dad by their first name?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceFinally saw "M. Night Shaym-ALIENS!" And it was pretty good. Nice to have something more Rick-focused, and arguably more like Inception than their actual Inception parody episode. It was the right mix of funny and sadly pathetic that the father's best day ever was in a world that was designed to more or less conform to his wishes (in a very low-rent way). Seemed unnecessarily cruel to have him get straight-up fired for that ad campaign pitch, though.
A bit of somewhat realistic science in there, too, namely that Cesium is in a line of elements that is *highly* reactive with water, and the heavier the element, the more reactive (of the Alkali Metals, Cesium is the most reactive that is found in any significant amount. Francium is higher, but barely exists in nature)
Poor Real!Morty. He gets so traumatized xD
I finally got to see the latest episode. I still need to see the episode before but I think this series doesn't need to be watched in order.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI can only imagine the poor drunk idiots wanting to do said experiment with Censium, and not having the money or time or know how to do it.
So, since they've been on for a while now: Rick Vs. Space Dandy. Who would win in a cross-dimensional battle?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceOne show has 4 episodes out and another 3. I wouldn't call that a while.
Improving as an author, one video at a time. But you know them long enough that you finally get a feel for the character's strengths and weaknesses.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceRick, on the grounds that Rick is actually fairly competent in his own way.
Today's episode was pretty dark. Though it was nice to see Rick comforting Morty.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"When the dark thing happened I was sitting there thinking "this is getting pretty weird" but after all of it happened and Rick comforted Morty and at the end the bad thing got its comupence via Rick I started to really like it. Mostly because it showed how much Rick really cares for him.

And i liked the fact that they treated the issue seriously. Unlike other "adult" cartoons.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"You mean like Family Guy and South Park?
When the rape scene appeared, I was laughing quite mildly. I really didn't find anything dark along the giant accidentally dying, but buisiness as usual.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI notice in the Heartwarming page, someone said of 'M. Night Shaym-Aliens!' .....
In that same episode we saw Rick and Morty playing around with the crystals, with Rick clearly enjoying himself.
I was thinking that that was an out of character moment that Rick purposely did to confirm his assumption that Morty wasn't really Morty. When fake Morty didn't act like this was anything out of the ordinary, Rick had his answer.
Comments?
Makes sense.
I actually understand now.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice@KBSL: Yeah, i was thinking of those shows specifically.
"They truly were a Aqua Teen Hunger Force"That rape scene, or attempted one, was a bit dark but hey, Rick comforting Morty is also nice. That could've counted as a character development, or just showing us Rick really does care.
Still, my favorite part of this episode was the Mr Meeseek. A clever twisted sadistic concept of one goal before I die. And well, combine that with the Father's status. Of course it was gonna end hilariously.
Ironically he was the only one that made a simple goal
I loved the Mr. Meeseek plot. How one character just made it too hard for them to handle.

Man the concept of Meeseeks is just rubs me the wrong way when I think about it.
I mean they are born with a subconscious suicidal tendencies and actually crave non-existence when non-existence is considered a primal fear.
It was a well-executed episode from start-to-finish (finally caught up), with more plumbling into Rick and Morty's dynamics, more heartfelt and less cruel to the characters than the last episode (ending in Jerry's firing).
Did anyone else get Lemongrab vibes from the Mr. Meeseeks?
This series is so spectacularly great! After watching all three episodes thus far the simulation one is my favorite. I practically lost it when the boss kept saying "Yes." The one complaint I had during the first episode was Rick's constant burping because I thought it was annoying but now it seems they're keeping it to a minimum. Normally I don't like characters who are so smart they outdo their opponents but it seems to work for me in this case because we don't really know how Rick feels about anything or they way he thinks so that's where his character development really seems to come from. This along with Bob's Burgers, American Dad, and Futurama is on the path to becoming one of my favorite adult cartoons.
