[up][up]Morty clearly takes after Rick in this regard. He seems to have a thing for red-heads too.

[up] Which makes me wonder if Beth's mom is a red-head or not.

Depends if that really was her in the bug mind machine.

I think she has to be for Summer to be a natural redhead.

I think another one was how Rick dealt with the world full of Mortysexual bug people; he and Morty just left it behind for an identical reality to the ones they're used to.

You know, I skipped most of Mind-Blowers because it was late and I was getting a little burnt out on this show. I wish I hadn't. The Whole Enchilada would have been another one of my picks.

Going back to fucked up moments, it still gets me how in Morty's Mind Blowers, Rick could have easily just instructed NASA or whoever to make a pod that could carry four people, but instead decided not to bother and left those two scientist in their place for no actual reason.

[up] 2 Needed to be left behind, or the watcher/collector Alien would've gone on a hunt for Rick and Morty again.

Course, Rick could've just killed the Alien, but clearly he wanted to go with an easier solution.

I mean, is there a reason to assume he specifically wanted Rick and Morty, and not just some other humans? Either way, that's not a justification to do his dirty work for him.

[up]With the fact that the replacements had to look, and then dress, like Rick and Morty, I can only assume that yes, it wanted Rick and Morty specifically. And I can understand why it would want Rick: He's a super genius who can travel across space and time with ease and create almost anything with very little.

Rick seems to sometimes channel his inner sociopathy into his methods, as Morty lampshaded, he obsesses in demonstrating to others that one life is a meaningless statistic and it's officially established he's in denial that he's able to get attached to another living being.

I mean his damn car security seems to be equipped with all sorts of brutally complex physical and psychological methods to protect itself, when we've seen a simple forcefield isn't out of his abilities.

I'm rewatching "Rick Potion #9" and it just occurred to me: there is a world out there with a badass version of Jerry.

But even more terrifying is what Rick said earlier in the episode about the serum not working on anyone related to Morty. Now when they came back to this universe in "The Rickshank Redemption" I only thought that this was a post-apocalyptic Earth that Rick ruined, and that maybe Morty's family had simply evolved the way that Morty and Summer evolved on that Mad Max planet and the Purge planet. Society collapsed and they've been roughing it Fallout-style with raiders and monstrous mutants.

But no. Jerry, Beth, and Summer have been the only 3 humans left in a universe where every other Earthling has become a Cronenburg for... however long it's been since the 1st season. Morty and Rick have been dead and or missing in all that time with no explanation whatsoever. Heck, maybe the Cromulons showed up after Rick and Summer were pulled out by the Council of Ricks.

I don't know why but the gravity of that only hit me just now. That world, Earth C-137, just hit a new level of FUBAR. Funny how Rick didn't turn that into one of Morty's Mindblowers.

I suppose their family didn't really give much of a crap after Rick and Morty disappeared though.

That is what made me think "this show is special". VERY disturbing, and even more disturbing if you watch the entire episode.

Just like James Gunn, Mike Cernovich is now accusing Dan Harmon in an attempt to get him fired. Here though, it's for a disturbing 2009 video he made for his old channel where he spoofed Dexter and shows him half-naked and humping a toy doll. Harmon, like what everyone else is doing, also is a Trump-hater, which is what Cernovich's real goal in his call-out spree is. Also unlike James Gunn, Adult Swim supports Harmon and it isn't likely they are going to fire him.

Well you would if you're a popular figure in the industry and you dare speak ill of the president. And apparently a LOT of people online care.

Don't care what people online think either, and we have rules against importing drama.

A campaign to get the a writer fired on false pretenses is directly relevant to the show, furthermore it's laughable to claim that constitutes importing drama.

The rules define it as "No threads about events on another forum. Any user who does so will face an immediate ban. This means don't use our forums for a battleground, don't encourage or instigate others to use our forums as a battleground, don't use our forums as a launching pad for a fight, and don't drag us into a fight somewhere else."

This clearly is not that.

Yeah if there's controversy over Harmon, that's relevant to the thread. What other people online are saying has nothing to do with the show though.

I was worried about Rick and Morty, but seeing how this has backfired hard, and how his agenda is now made clear, I can see people starting to rally against the man and finding a way to take his account down.

Which isn't exactly good and contributes even more to the political/culture wars.

Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...
