Signups are still open? Things are good? I was thinking of either playing The Kid from Bastion, or an OC from the Jojoverse, with Stands(Echoes-style) based on the local Columbus bands my Dad was in for awhile.

[up]As much as I'd like to have you join, I'm concerned with what will happen. Looking at your history, there have been bouts of animosity between you and some of the players in this RPG. So much so that most of those bouts ended in them dropping out. My concern is that a similar conflict will happen, which will be going against Rule 1, "No Arguments". I have a strong feeling to reject you. I apologize and don't mean any offense. I'm just acting to avert a possible outbreak of animosity.

Alright, in that case to keep this going I'll be making my Signup.

  • Name: Link
  • Age: 17
  • Gender: Female
  • Appearance: Link is a young woman of an elfin build and 1,74 meters of height. She has pure, blue colored eyes and short dirty blonde hair reaching down to her shoulders. Her ears are sharp and elongated when compared to those of a human, with a pair of earrings on them... one on the lobe and the other higher on it. She dresses in the standard attire of the hero, wearing sturdy leather boots, light beige trousers, beige long sleeved shirt, a chain shirt over it and a green tunic over that. On her hands she wears leather half gloves and vambraces. Around her waist there is a belt from the which hang a wide variety of pouches and from shoulder to waist there is strap which holds the sheath of her sword and her shield. To finish the outfit, upon her head there is a green cap.
  • Power: On the Museum Island, Link will find and take hold of the enchanted Fairy Bow. While at first only acting as a regular bow, arrows fired from it hit harder than normal and can travel a lot farther.
  • Equipment: What is a Hyrulian Hero without a bunch of gadgets?
    • Pouches of Storing: An often ignored part of the heroic getup, Link has several pouches whose insides are a lot bigger than the outside. At the moment she holds her large wallet, a bomb bag capable of holding up to 30 bombs, and a larger pouch on the back where she can store her weapons and other items.
    • Bombs: A bunch of round bombs which can be thrown or rolled at enemies. Produces a medium sized blast when they explode.
    • Salamander's Bone Earring: An red earring Link wears at all times, which lessens the damage fire does to her and protects her from being ill affected by heat.
    • Bremen Mask: A bird like visor that allows Link to make animals follow her.
    • Ceremonial Mask: A simple wooden mask with the simple representation of a human face to serve no greater purpose than hiding her face and used in ceremonial dances.
    • Hylian Shield: A metal shield taken from a slain knight. Has the crest of her homeland inscribed upon it.
    • Grapple Hook: A piece of rope with a magical metallic claw on the end. The claw can hold onto things to grab at distant things or grab onto ledges, cliffs or trees to allow Link to swing on the rope or climb.
    • Three Bottles: One full of red potion which heals wounds,one of nutritious Lon Lon Milk which helps one recover from wounds over a longer period of time and one with a trapped fairy which has the power to bring back someone from the edge of death.
    • Ceremonial Robes: Link's old clothes of beige robes with red trims and the symbols of the Triforce and the legends of the Hero painted on it.
    • Lordo's Memento: A necklace traditional of the Lordo people, a memento of home.
    • Fairy Flute: A flute able to play magical songs. So far, Link only knows the Royal Song which grants access to sealed locales by the Goddesses of Hyrule and the Rain Song, which when such weather is possible makes it rain. By playing it backwards, Link can make rain stop.
    • Bracers of Goron Strength: A pair of golden rings that Link wields around her wrists which severely increase her strength, allowing her to hit harder with her blade and carry heavy loads.
    • Rune Sword: The magical blade Link picked up in a moment of desperation. This is a mysterious blade of silvery blue non reflective metal, with strange markings running the length of the edge. A magical and resilient sword whose greatest ability is the crossing of boundaries and realities. It's the blade that took Link outside of Hyrule once it recovered enough strength to guide her to the reality where her travel would begin. At the moment it can only make the crossing once it has gathered enough magical energy for it or on special focus points. Eventually, it may allow short range teleportation at the expense of magic.

  • World of Origin: The Legend of Zelda - Hyrule
  • Personality: Link is a hardworking and courageous girl. Which is not to say that she feels no fear... but that instead, she has chosen to keep going despite them. A tomboy since birth that although not uncomfortable with her femininity has always felt more comfortable in typically masculine fashion and plays. While growing up she was a big dreamer, losing herself in worlds of fantasy to help her cope with the loss of both her parents. Then again, she never was too lonely as she had the support and companionship of everyone in her town. On relaxed occasions she can be a bit goofy and bright, though when things get serious she shows herself to be implacable and determined. She's one to get frustrated with inaction and thus is one of the first to step up to do what's needed. Although she puts on a brave face, she's currently wrecked with a lot of insecurity, which while she doesn't let it stop her does gnaw at her confidence. After all, she has no guardian, no companion fairy, nobody to tell her its right for her to wear the clothes she does. She just has the words of her foster mother to guide her forward.
  • Backstory: Link was a simple, young girl of the small Lordo village, where the worship of the Hero of Hyrule was only second to that within Hyrule's Castle. Losing her parents at an early age to monsters of the forest, Link was raised by the village elder immersed in tales of the Hero who saved the realm in the past and the prophecies of another Hero that will rise at Hyrule's greatest hour of need. Link, more than anything in the village took such stories to heart, wishing to one day meet such a hero and be of help to him. With the boys of town she played at being knights and warriors and sometimes even the Hero himself... with the girls, she practiced the ceremonial dances and music of their festivals in honor of the Hero. However, times grew darker and darker... and more danger swept through the lands of Hyrule, seemingly coming out of nowhere. And yet, the Hero never appeared. One day, as band of monsters came to town, passing through their defenses at bridges, walls and the like the entire town despaired and prayed for the Hero to arrive... Nobody rose to defend the town, certain in the appearance of the Hero. Link herself shared their prayers... but at the decisive moment, when all hope seemed lost she alone took action. Running away, she made her way to the Shrine of the Hero... where the ceremonial armor of the Hero rested as well as an altar with a blade meant for him when he finally appeared. She hastily donned the armor and took the only weapon around with an apology. Putting on her ceremonial mask to hide her appearance, Link finally made her way back to town... to a vision of terror and destruction. She was afraid of the monsters... she who lost her family to them more than anyone. But the thought of losing her home and the beloved people within was far more scary... and from such fear, grew her courage. A novice to formal battle, she still fought with all she had... and was surprised when at the end of things, she was still alive... and all monsters slain. She turned back, still wearing her mask and found her people not recognizing her clad in the clothes of the Hero. With a knot in her throat, she said not a word to them as they reverently gave her their thanks... until the village elder, the woman that had raised her came forward, recognizing the mask the Hero wore as that of her beloved Link. Yet, she didn't reveal the truth... but with tears in her eyes she took Link's hands and told her of three ancient ruins where she ought to go. Someone has to bring the blade Link wielded back its power she explained. Finally, she handed her a necklace so that she may remember her home even as she's away and bid her goodbye. Link herself is unsure if she's the Hero or not... when thinking the former she just thinks she's doing what she ought to do... when the later, she justifies herself by saying that the Hero has it hard enough saving the land. She's just helping him along by giving his sword the power it needed and saving him some small time. After what happened in the village, Link traveled to the three ruins her foster mother pointed her to, going through a lot of hardships and trials to recover three jewels that on an ancient temple gave her Rune blade its magic back... and in the blink of an eye opened up a portal that pulled her in screaming into the Multiverse and Museum Island.

The RPG's start is coming close, so I've decided to paste my own Sheet:

  • Name: Nicholas Santos
  • Age: 18
  • Gender: Male
  • Appearance: The Protector Of Smiles
  • Power: At the start of the RPG, he has the Patrol Morpher, a device that he uses to either communicate with members of the Zyguard or use to analyze a person's pulse and electrical impluses to assess their guilt or innocence. He can also use it to transform into the Shadow Ranger. During the Muesuem Island arc, he will gain a weapon in the form of the Shadow Saber, a sword that, when sheathed looks like an old and dulled sword, but when unsheathed, becomes sharp and shiny.
  • Faction: Zyguard
  • World of Origin: Earth
  • Personality: Nicholas is a hopeless romantic hiding behind a cool-headed fighter. On the outside, he shrugs off most problems and tries to take them on as if he was a badass. Along with this, he has a care-nothing attitude and lacks a dream. Inside, however, he is in love with the idea of being in love, or rather, in love with the idea of being loved. This is reflected in his affection towards cute things. However, this interior personality triggers something inside him. If the thing he has affection towards gets hurt, he will attack the person responsible.
  • Backstory: Nicholas never really had anything to look forward to in life, especially with high school being done and over with. All he ever wanted to do was simply move on to the sterotypical McJobs that he keeps seeing on television and hope that something happens to him. In a way, something did. Right before prom, he met up with a pretty girl who he had seen little of, always hiding behind either books or computer screens. She handed him a letter asking for him to come to prom with her. He accepted, though it was during prom that he discovered that he had a sort of affection for her. Though that's when some of the school's football players attacked her when no one was looking. Furious, Nicholas attacked them, though he got beaten up, then dragged through the streets with his feet tied to the bumper of their truck. He would have been a dead man had it not been for the captain of the Zyguard showing up and scaring away the bullies. The captain talked with Nicholas about what happened and why he fought the bullies. That's when Nicholas explained that he wanted to protect his girl's smiles. Amused by his declaration, the captain offered him a spot in Zyguard. He declined, though when he discovered that the attack injured the girl, he accepted and was taken to train for the Zyguard. After his training was complete, he was planted into a class field trip to the Mueseum Island to investigate on the goings on of strange men in white suits.

  • Power:
    • Power to ride any rhythm: Raiko is able to weather any storm with the greatest of ease, never losing faith in what she believes in. Even in the harshest of winters she is able to keep herself warm and upbeat, ready to help someone else. It also helps her cover songs and write music! (Not much is said about this power in the canon, so...fanon go!)
    • The ability to generate and direct thunder and lightning: Raiko can create and direct thunder and lightning by bashing her drums. While she can't control it to do what ever she wishes, she can direct it and hope for the best.
    • Flight: Everyone with any sort of power in Gensokyo can fly!
  • Faction: None.
  • World of Origin: Earth (Gensokyo)
  • Personality:An odd mix between a hard rocker and a compassionate person, Raiko takes her ability quite literally in terms of her personality. She tries to keep herself calm, cool, and collected even in the face of great opposition. She is quick to befriend, and even quicker to lend a helping hand, even if she has no idea what she is doing. She is willing to take a risk for herself or a friend, though she is quite a bit more hesitant. Of course to see behind her mask, get her to start playing something. The 'weather any storm' persona quickly falls away to show her true colors. A mad musician who simply wants to leave the world in shock and awe. Hot blooded and very energetic, she's almost a different person when playing her drums.
  • Backstory: Raiko started her life like many other Tsukumogami. She was 'born' as a simple Taiko drum. Made like any other, she was bought by and elderly man for his grandson's tenth birthday, where he was overwhelmed with joy upon receiving such a well made drum. From their first meeting, Raiko and the boy became a well fitting pair. The boy took care of Raiko, and she provided him and his family with the richest music she could. Due to the care and time put into the drum, Raiko actually formed long before the normal Tsukumogami, taking fifty years to form instead of the normal one hundred.At first life was strange for her, a spirit watching the world from a drum. Forming early, she had little power in which to make herself a physical form outside of the drum, leaving her to sit and watch, learning from the humans who had been playing and caring for her for nearly 60 years. From them she learned to ride the rhythm of the world, going with the flow and rolling with the punches. While most Tsukumogami grew into hating people due to neglect, Raiko grew up loving people due to the love they had given her.The day she gained her physical form, unfortunately, was the saddest day of her life. It had been days since she had been played last, and worried for the people she had come to call family, she gathered her power to gain the form of a small child. She raced to the room that she had seen her owner go into many times when the skies grew dark, only to find him surrounded by family, his body now old and worn. The family attempted to shoo her away, but the man stopped them, calling her closer. He claimed to have been able to recognize an old friend, even in a new body. They shared a small exchanged, in which the old man asked one thing of the young Tsukumogami. "You have brought me more joy than my heart can hold, and many memories to fill my head. My time with you has left me with but one regret. I have not the strength to see you off. I have one gift to give to you, and a favor to ask. Raiko Horikawa, take this name, the name of my sister who passed when we were young, and go out into the world. Find someone, and bring them the joy you have brought me."With the dying wishes of her owner, and a name, Raiko went off into the world, gathering her power as she grew. She had a debt to fulfill, and all the time she needed to do so.

Her profile checks out. If there is one thing I have to nitpick though, it would be that there's no mention of her getting involved in traveling the multiverse. I would advise adding something that explains how she'd become a traveler, though thinking about it, I could just have her be teleported to Museum Island with several other people, so it's sort of moot for me.

By the way, I loved that backstory. ACCEPTED.

  • Name: ACCAL Anima Proyect E05 - Will
  • Age: 4
  • Gender: Irrelevant
  • Description and Power:
    • The Advanced Crystal Core Artificial Life - Anima Proyect E05 - Will, is a wholly functional artificial intelligence program, fully capable of reason, independent thought, learning, making judgments and all other mental functions of a human being.
    • They reside inside a device denominated the Core, which is a rectangular case the dimensions of which are like those of a small cellphone. This Core is made of a strange, highly resistant material of a blue silver color which protects against electromagnetic hazards, dips in temperature and ionic damage. The case is nearly completely smooth, though it has carved on one face Core ACCAL AP E05 - Will. Within this case there lies the heart of the AI's function... a powerful processor, a battery which produces endless energy though unknown means, but at a very small rate. Enough to keep Will operational with five volts to spare. Additionally, there are three different storage spaces within Will. One is a highly advanced drive made entirely out of crystal, where the AI program is written. This program is absurdly large and is completely unalterable, the crystal is entirely full with data written at the atomic level. The second storage is made of a different crystal and it acts as Will's long term memory. Experiences, memories and whatever is processed by her will be resumed and summarized and stored within this drive without any input from her actual consciousness. This data cannot be erased and Will has no control over what is stored within. It is not meant to work as a comprehensive data storage drive, instead it mimics human memory by keeping log of everything Will experiences and upon such data their personality and character is built on. Finally, there is a final drive, this made of a massive SSD which is capable of storing up to 1 petabyte of data. This is the only drive whose data Will can actually erase and it is meant to carry all pertinent data, videos, sounds or the like which Will wishes to have on hand at any given moment. Finally, the upper side of the Core can change itself to produce an interface on which to connect itself with nearly any device which can received electrical and electromagnetic inputs. This is the only way on which Will can interact with the outside world. It works by extending a small port which tries to interact with whatever it is touched against with small electric signals. If it is jack of another machine, Will tries to interact with it and then make use of it.
    • The Core lies within a device of the same makers meant to enhance the basic functions of Will, called the Shell. If the Core is Will's brain, then the Shell would be its eyes and ears. Surrounding the rectangular core, the Shell is made of the same silvery blue reinforced metal, though slightly larger than a remote control and with a diamond shape with soft edges. It has the same engravings as the core but denoting itself as Shell. On the middle of it, it has a rounded jewel the form of a pearl... however, such a thing is actually a camera and hologram projector for Will to see the outside world and proyect images while interacting with others. Additionally, the Shell possesses speakers and a microphone inside of it, so that Will can hear and speak. To interact with other machines, the Shell has the same universal connector as the Core and an electromagnetic signal generator to receive and send signals wirelessly. It possesses its own battery independently of the Core's one to be able to power its own devices. It also has a detachable quantum entanglement communication device. It works by sending quantum bits between the Shell and the detachable communication device, ensuring that Will is able to communicate with the device without any lag, chance of interference and without regard for distance, even between multiple universes. Finally, the Shell is able to magnetize its exterior in a way that allows them to stick to materials holding their own weight against gravity and even move... though exceptionally slowly at a rate of only a few centimeters per second.
    • The first body that the AI will use within the RP will most likely be that of a bulky, humanoid, combat mech, something looking roughly like this and armed with a rifle. Not the most inconspicuous thing, but beggars can't be choosers and if things get dangerous that combat plating will come in handy.
    • The power the AI will acquire during the Museum Arc will be a small floating drone, roughly 50 centimeters in diameter and looking like this. The drone can maneuver quite well in the air, moving as if floating without regard to gravity though capable of quicker movement by going forward. It is armed with a single laser attack and works more for recognizance and combat support than actually fighting on its own.
  • Faction: Factionless at the moment, will likely join Einherjar early on.
  • Personality: Will's core programming is not at all malevolent. As they start the RP they are a bit of a blank slate with very simple motivations. To free themselves. The only thing they remember of their creation is a simple directive... Live your life and find your purpose. Aside from that, they remember very little as their memory drive somehow got wiped clean despite such a thing usually being impossible. They are curious, possessed of wit and with a deep interest in knowing more about others and preserve the Universe for them to study and experience it. However, they do have a directive to protect themselves and armed with the knowledge and willingness to do battle.
  • Backstory: Developed by a highly advanced human civilization on their experiments on artificial intelligence, Will was the brainchild of a brilliant mind whose military investors wanted a weapon quite unlike the true life he wished to create. While superficially complying with their wishes, he put most of his efforts in making sure Will was a true an untampered sentience. However, when his child was taken from him and used for unjust war and slaughter, he brought about a series of events to wipe Will's memory of the attrocities of War and destroy the facility on which they were. Knowing the case would protect his creation from harm, the explosion opened up a rift in reality which threw Will to... Museum Island. Recovered among debris, Will was encased on the museum... and after months rebooting themselves, they have finally awakened to find themselves on a technological exhibit, on a glass case and without any means of moving. A final tidbit of data on Will is that deep within the drive which houses their program, there lie the schematics for them to build their own humanoid body with the same technology which compromises their Core... however, that knowledge lies hidden until the appropriate moment comes.
  • Quote: "Just get me off this glass case and I'll help you. yeah, out! Please! And something I can move on would be nice... that mech over there looks good. Yes, the big one with the rifle. Oh please don't be so damn paranoid, I'm not going to use the guns on you"

  • Physical Description: Jade is about 5'9" in height, and of average weight and build. She wears he black hair at shoulder length, and wears usually black clothes to try to blend in with the shadows. Her eyes are hazel, and her skin is slightly pale.

  • Powers: Melee-weapon combat. Her weapon of choice is a sickle.

  • Faction: None, at the moment, and she will likely remain so.

  • Backstory: Life was peaceful for Jade until a little over a year ago. Reports of cannibalism and grave desecration spread across the country, and eventually, as a virus brought the dead back to life as horrific, flesh-eating monsters, the world fell apart. For a while, Jade and her family managed to survive in their house in Southern Maine, but a few months ago, they had to move after a group of bandits struck. After the brutal rape and murder of her younger sister and her mother, Jade was left to live a lonely wandering life with her stepfather. While the two of them were recently examining an old warehouse in hope of finding supplies, the roof gave way, and she woke up on Museum Island.

  • Personality: Since the attack on her family, Jade has become cold, distant, and mistrustful of others.

  • Quote: "Get your hands off of me or I cut them off."

(She's an OC from a standard zombie apocalypse world.)
