i can't believe no one's mentioned this as far as outright-ridiculous costumes go: Storm's black-leather-and-mohawk phase.

Hey! Mohawk Storm is Best Storm.
I loved her punk look. It was awesome.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.
Meh. It was OK. Not her worst. Not her best.
Her punk look was her best. Her current costume I'd probably place second. I hate the bathing suit aesthetic in general for female characters, and she's had a lot of bathing suit costumes. So I prefer the ones that aren't those.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I know. My criticism of bathing suit costumes was separate from the general mehness of the '90s silver costume.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics. The white Storm costume is a case where I think I'd dislike it if it wasn't for nostalgia. She suits black best.
I love the Silver Centurion armour. The only thing it lacked was a nose..
I hate the Quitely X-Men outfits so much I've of become kind of fascinated with them. I want to see a real life version. I think the New X-Men would have looked better if they'd had different outfits for different purposes, keep the leather for field situations and have teaching, casual and formal uniforms made out of more appropriate material than black leather.
Am I a good man or a bad man?![]()
I just thought it was kind of funny that they all had the same black jacket with a big yellow X on the front... except Emma, who still taught teenagers while dressed like a stripper.
I can't believe none of us have mentioned Green Arrow's famous sleeveless leather/goatee update. And the DCAU version, where they replaced the Robin Hood hat with a regular hood (as a nod to the Longbow Hunters era, no doubt); equally cool. When I saw that version in Justice League Unlimited, my first thought was, "Does that outfit come in blue?" note
Embroiled in slave rebellion, I escaped crucifixion simply by declaring 'I am Vito', everyone else apparently being called 'Spartacus'.Yeah I thought it was the stupidest look ever and now I love it. I prefer it when the lines are brighter than the rest of the costume though. Like so.
So, what's everyone's thoughts on the new duds for Robinson's run the Fantastic Four? I don't particuarly care for them, myself.
Lafayette Strongi think these
◊ are the outfits in question.
The goggles are a weird touch. The costumes themselves are pretty similar to the ones they have now, but I think a bit of an improvement. Not that there's anything wrong with the ones they have now.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Huh. For some reason, I thought there was a little more black on the current costumes. I guess I should've double-checked before I posted. That's what I get for being lazy.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.I am not completely sure how I feel about Doctor Octopus's two post-BND looks - the first, with the eight tentacles and the straightjacketed arms, and the second one from Ends of the Earth where he was a coffin on legs. And yet, I want action figures for either or both more than I have ever wanted Ock action figures. Mostly, Ock has never translated well into action figure form - the tentacles always have to be floppy, or finicky, or fragile, or just plain wimpy-looking, and the main figure tends to suffer because of the engineering put into them. These two designs both seemed made for the eventual action figure - the first, with the greater number of tentacles and the arms pinned to his chest, removes the arms from the engineering and places the tentacles so that they could possibly balance without the legs. The second, from Ends of the Earth - well, it just seems made to be a Build A Figure, and removes all non-tentacle jointed parts from a prospective toy.
Basically, while I am not overly fond of either design, either one could make the first truly good Doctor Octopus action figure.

But of course. Metal wings > fluffy wings.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]
