There was an Eek! The Cat episode that referenced Pulp Fiction. Simply referencing more adult material does not this trope make.
Did the suggestive stuff make it into foreign localizations where that kind of content is more taboo in kids' media?
Found this on Amphibia:
- Getting Crap Past the Radar: Maggie's insult for Anne is "Boobchuy", and gets past the radar because it has the word "boob" in it.
Is the word "boob" taboo on Disney Channel? Nick and Cartoon Network shows have used it frequently, but I can't remember Disney using it.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. How many examples should a show have that it needs its own page? At this point Mao Mao: Heroes of Pure Heart has three examples and I'm iffy on the first one really counting. Would it be possible to move those to the main page and cutlist the separate Radar page? I'm currently discussing the image in Image Pickin' here
since it comes from a scene that isn't an example of the trope at all, and I cut everything that was listed on the page for that episode. But I'm wondering if replacing the image is even worth our time if there's 2/3 examples on the page...
Edit: somehow cutlist auto corrects to curlier...

You can call me Red.Bringing up the following examples from Sonic the Hedgehog (2020):
- Getting Crap Past the Radar:
- As Dr. Robotnik shows off his fleet of flying robots to the government:
Robotnik: Look what came out of my egg sac!
- Sonic complaining to Tom as he notices Dr. Robotnik and his robots swarm the house.
Tom: I'm not in the mood to be probed.
Sonic: You think you're worried? I'm not even wearing pants! - This exchange between Tom and Robotnik:
Robotnik: I was spitting out formulas while you were spitting up formula.
Tom: I was breast-fed, actually.
Robotnik: Nice. Rub that in my orphan face.
- As Dr. Robotnik shows off his fleet of flying robots to the government:
Noteworthy that Sonic is rated PG, so rude humor might fly.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I really don't see it. Innuendo and Radar are diametrically opposed.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It was advised here
that Radar. The Loud House be cleaned before the page image is discussed.
TRS passed the new restrictions
, so basically everything needs to be cited from now on. I'd go to the TRS thread to make sure everyone's on the same page before purging examples since bad ones might fit in other tropes.

For those of you not reading the TRS thread, I've made a crowner
about temporarily restricting examples to the trope page itself to curb misuse.
I cleaned up some of the Phineas And Ferb radar page. For example, I cut the few jokes that were oblique references to the idiom "Does a bear shit in the woods?" because they were more Parental Bonus, as well as everything that was Toilet Humor or Naked People Are Funny. I'm still skeptical about quite a few of the examples I left on the page.
You can call me Red.Oh, that page is a mess. Let me go over it.
- Candace moaning: Accidental Innuendo if anything. It really doesn't sound sexual unless you look for it.
- Bow Chicka Wow Wow: Might be Parental Bonus?
- Boy Toy: Also probably Parental Bonus.
- Xavier Onassis: Does a Punny Name on a phrase that can't be said under this age rating count?
- Psychedelia: Probably Parental Bonus. (Hence why the page image will need a change.)
- Crack That Whip: Maaaaybe Parental Bonus? But you could easily argue he's just meant to be tired from partying.
- Out To Launch: Same issue as Xavier Onassis, I guess.
- Pussy whipped: I feel like other kids' shows have gotten away with this. It's probably a safe cut.
- Mitch: Cut, no rules are broken here.
- Tube top: Not sure.
- Undercover Carl: No context on what makes it inappropriate. I assume it's about Carl dressing as a Leatherman? I'd say that's solidly Parental Bonus especially as the montage goes by fairly quickly.
- Candace Gets Busted: Double Entendre.
- Great Indoors: Maybe? Not sure how opposed the Disney censors would be to any reference to reproduction, and if they are then this counts, referencing sex by using more scientific terms.
- Canderemy: Unsure.
- Ell No: Unsure, leaning towards no.
- Shaving Doof's legs: Probably too subtle, might not even be intentional.
- Waggle Dance: I find this scene uncomfortable but young girls shaking their butts as they dance is not Radar-worthy.
- Happy Birthday Isabella: An explicit reference to strippers on a TV-Y7 show is pretty dodgy, and it's hard for me to imagine "male dancers" jump out of cakes in real life without any sexual undertones. I'm inclined to keep it, but I doubt others will agree.
- Drawbridge: I actually submitted this to the IP thread to change the page image, but I'm not entirely sure about it. Note that the drawbridge is indeed on his crotch area, so while the "fly is down" joke is not inherently sexual, you can argue they got away with a boner joke via Visual Innuendo. But if it's innuendo does it count?
- Gorilla: Probably Parental Bonus.
- Face Your Fear: Sexual undertones, but nothing here is technically against the rating.
- Klimpaloon Ultimatum: Double Entendre if anything, but might better be an Accidental Innuendo.
- Peter the Panda: All just Does This Remind You of Anything?. The "thwarty call" comment is the only thing close to truly radar-breaking, but I doubt that's enough.
- Summer Belongs To You: As it was later censored, this counts.
- Windmill: Parental Bonus.
- Twi'lek: Maybe Parental Bonus / Parent Service?
- Kiss my bantha: Nothing explicitly radar breaking here.
- Rubber: Might be an Accidental Innuendo? Or Lampshaded Double Entendre, subtle as it may be.
- OWCA Files: Double Entendre or Accidental Innuendo.
Wow, a lot more edge cases than I remember. Good job cleaning it up.
Aw, I'm flattered!
It helps that this show is one of my favorites (hence why I circle through Candace icons so much LOL).

I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Undercover Carl: No context on what makes it inappropriate. I assume it's about Carl dressing as a Leatherman? I'd say that's solidly Parental Bonus especially as the montage goes by fairly quickly. That is why I didn't cut it, the other half of the example which I did cut was about Carl wearing dresses which is definitely not GCPTR or inappropriate at all
Happy Birthday Isabella: An explicit reference to strippers on a TV-Y7 show is pretty dodgy, and it's hard for me to imagine "male dancers" jump out of cakes in real life without any sexual undertones. I'm inclined to keep it, but I doubt others will agree. I'm also strongly inclined to keep it because of the specific reference to "male dancers" and the context in which Jumping Out of a Cake tends to appear in contemporary media.
Drawbridge: I actually submitted this to the IP thread to change the page image, but I'm not entirely sure about it. Note that the drawbridge is indeed on his crotch area, so while the "fly is down" joke is not inherently sexual, you can argue they got away with a boner joke via Visual Innuendo. But if it's innuendo does it count? It felt like a "your fly is down" joke to me too but I kept in until getting a second opinion.
You're welcome by the way! You're one of my favorite people to see around on the forums and I value your input a lot!
You can call me Red.Thoughts on Radar. The Loud House, since it's currently the subject of an Image Pickin' thread
and it was advised it be evaluated first.
To whom it may concern:
As requested, I've just made an intensely large edit to Radar.Video Games that alphabetized every single entry and split it up into three folders. I've also added a comment to tell editors to alphabetize examples, moved some examples that should be on their own work subpages, made minor formatting tweaks, removed (only a few of the many) bad examples, took out some unnecessary caps lock, and hopefully generally made any and all future cleanup efforts a little bit less of a headache.

The Radar page for The Loud House definitely needs cleanup.
That's going to be amazingly beneficial, thank you for your work!!!
I skimmed Radar.Pokemon and nothing seems to qualify due to the new citation requirement. Examples will need to be collected in a sandbox for verification and the page probably needs to be deleted.
Cursory glance at the page: "This gym is great! It's full of women!" counts for being censored after the fact. Much of the rest can go under Double Entendre, Parental Bonus, and Ho Yay. I support going through it example-by-example.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

The first one would be Parental Bonus, the others can be cut. Values Dissonance.
Rock'n'roll never dies!
