Long wait, but it was worth it.
These past two years I’ve barely watched any anime, but unlike 2020, ’21 really makes me want to check some series out again. There are some that truly look fantastic.
Also, that editing, man.
The video’s so good that it doesn’t have any dislikes!

I haven't liked a Gigguk video in a while but this was pretty great. I'm a bit sad he didn't mention fruits basket but I also doubt he's watched a single episode of it.
Surprised that Gigguk has never head of legend of Luo xiaohei in his Chinese animation foray.
Mushoku tensei is... difficult. Rudeus dominates and ruins every conversation I could have about it. It being someone's anime of the year is no surprise, but it's just so tiresome...
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysyeah, basically everything i've heard from people who aren't fanboys is that, while Rudeus develops as a character, he never stops being a pervert that really pushes the line on what he can get away with and the narrative never frames it as a flaw
Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic Socialist~Mami he posted a video in his secondary channel reacting to the Crunchyroll Award nominations where he says that he didn't watch the new season of Fruits Basket because he only made it halfway through the last one:
He does say that had he watched, it would probably have been his pick for best romance and best drama.

Didn't watch it yet, but I'm betting My Dress-Up Darling has a joke about how the Fe MC is basically Sydney.
Edit: Called it!
Anyway, I never watch shows as they are airing, but if none of them shit the bed, then Dress-Up Darling, Sabikui Bisco and Sasaki to Miyano are definitely on the list.
Oh, and Kimetsu no Yaiba as well, but that goes without saying.
Also "NF Ts are just .jpg netorare" is simply brilliant.

No clue, I'm just here waiting for when we'll have one of those fot Portuguese V As.
Honestly, I don't mibd pitting movie anime and TV anime, because the prize is to whom has the best animation, and movies are generally better animated, so it's just logic, that.
What I do mind is, everything else put to the side, Mushoku Tensei is just better animated than Kimetsu no Yaiba, and therefore should've gotten the damn award.
It's Yuri on Ice!! vs Mob Psycho 100 from the first CA all over again.

El sexo es temporal. LA PENITENCIA ES ETERNA!Just don’t put too much stock in the Crunchyroll awards and you’ll be fine.
I watched his Winter 2022 in a Nutshell video and it’s downright one of his funnier projects I’ve seen in a while. The NFT joke is fantastic and somehow I still haven’t gotten tired of hearing about Sydney being IRL Marin.
I heavily disagree with his isekai tierlist except for the top and bottom but that’s fine haha.
Also: I should visit this part of TV Tropes more often.
his comparison between between Attack on Titan season 2 and Re:Zero season 2 is one i agree with, we're just now getting into the meat of the series, given that episode 18 "From Zero" is considered the end of the prologue. and since the whole series is planned to be 11 arcs long, with some quite sizeable arcs, there's gonna be a lot of meat to dig into. the whole series is gonna be an estimated 50+ volumes long, over twice the size of Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation and even dwarfing Ascendance Of A Bookworm's projected 33 volume length.
hell, White Fox barely managed to fit in Arc 4 during season 2, even with regular 29 minute episodes and despite that, important stuff was still cut from the anime

Honesly I feel like making a counterpoint.
Comic books, especially the biggest sellers and household names, have a similar "endless continuity" issue where it seems like things never reach a definite ending, but they address that having having self contained arcs with a clear beginning middle and end.
A more maligned, but closer to isekai in terms of medium case is Game of Thrones, which went with its own ending due to the source material having a similar issue (well that and Schedule Slip). A concept that isn't foreign to anime at all.
Which is to say that Isekai adaptations should consider better ways to end the adaptations knowing that they might not be able to cover the entirely of the source material. Even if it would take a entire cour's worth of content to set up that ending.
(of course it would also help that they curate what works gets adapted in the first place instead of looking at everything from a specific site)

That would require the publishers of these light novels to curate what they choose to put to print in the first place.
And mind you, a lot of people who don't read superhero comics mention the "endless continuity" as their first complaint.

Gigguk puts his normie cap on and gushes about Kimetsu no Yaiba:
"Demon Slayer made my mouth open so wide, Jojo fans thought I just sucked a thousand dicks" I'm so stealing that one.
PS: The comments on his tweet are exactly like you would expect.

Seem like it's mostly a Westerner fan problem. Like a lot of people was taken by surprise by Kinetsu no Yaiba success and the manga didn't get much localization or spotlight in the West before the anime despite been one of the more popular series on WSJ even before the anime. It success also made a lot of people want to try and predict the "NEXT BIG THING" on Jump.
E.T technically is a Isekai movie

Their families live on 2 different continents, and neither are the continent they live on. That would be hard to organize without COVID.
