Gigguk

Talk about Gigguk here.

Gigguk is a British-Thai anime reviewer/entertainer who does reviews in a crude tone and fast-talking. It might remind Zero Punctuation, Gigguk is far more generous with compliments.

His reviews and arguments are, for the most of the time, fairly logical and interesting. Even if it doesn't, which I noticed from time to time, it is still entertaining as hell.

So does anyone here watch his videos?

I will forever love his Sword Art Online review for the "Coffee Soda" bit.

Oh man, that was so hilarious. It also summarizes how I don't want to keep watching the show.

I first found him through his EVAbridged videos which are the probably funniest Evangelion parodies I've seen on youtube.

Afterwards I watched a lot of his reviews and rants, he really knows what to say and has some good opinions.

Oh right, his reviews have a lot of hilarious moments, so I decided to launch the funny page for it.

I got into his videos with his Highschool Of The Dead review, and stayed for the EV Abridged. :P (My god, that Eye of the Tiger bit XD)

I wonder when he would do the series review on Attack On Titan.

Also, I hope he reviews Mahouka Koukou No Rettousei. I reckon he will have a similar response he had with SAO.

I find his Anime Season overviews to be his most hilarious, as well as his joint review of K-On!!

Sometimes I wonder what kind of muscle exercises are required to speak that fast.

To me though, Gig's best videos remain his motion capture waifu videos.

Gigguk's humor can be hit or miss, but when it hits it really does. That ship joke left me out of breath.

Gigguk has finally released his "Fall 2018 in a nutshell" video

His joke on "Gray Clover" falls a bit flat since Radiant predates BC by two years.

But man, the transitions are so freaking perfect. And as I said on the season thread, he made me want to watch Thunderbolt Fantasy, so that's something.

…I just wonder in what kind of context Alex Jones started rambling about goblins.

Thunderbolt Fantasy is great yeah.

Also did he at least remember to mention Radiant is french of all things? If not then that just makes jokes about it lame

And come on, making fun of all things French should be like breathing for a Brit!

I see… makes about as much sense as anything else, I guess.

Gigguk explains how he became a fan of the A Certain Magical Index series.

I never thought of the setting being one that could feel like a Shared Universe without actually being one before, but that's an interesting way to describe Index's storytelling and worldbuilding. Speaking of, he's the first person I've seen who's ever articulated why the Science Side of Index is more interesting to him and most other people than the Magic Side. Using that logic, I can see where he's coming from.

But man, getting into this franchise seems like a piece of work. For some reason, even without knowing jack shit about the franchise I always felt more drawn to Railgun − which might be because of the title. And apparently I'm not the only one.

…It's kinda weird to see a serious Gigguk video for once. >.>
