Jenny nodded her head. "Yep!" she said to Solaris.
Reginald nodded in agreement.
"Not for her, though," she added, glaring at the Nisi with her ears.
Chocolate Combat Colosseum
Bobby knelt down next to Solaris. "Coworker Solaris, this unit will operate to the best of its ability to ensure that your defeat will not be considered vain. I will avenge you, or be coated in lactose products in the process."
He threw his Bananabomb at the person who had thrown the grenade at Solaris and started knuckle-running behind cover.
Ligia seemed slightly confused and a tad indignant at Jenny's comment. "Of course not. Ligia just want to get away from stupid chocolate stuff. Ligia buy Ligia's own food; Ligia not charity case" Ligia said with her best show of sincerity. Ligia was pretty damn far from well off, as was usually the case with nisi women who ended up alone; but of course she was far too stubborn to admit that.
Hrof just watched the game in silence, unconcerned about anything splattering onto the crowd since he was back in his armor. He didn't seem to care about Linda trying to use him as a shield either, only going so far as to say, "please do not jostle me."
Blue, in his best suit, was among where the reporters and other spectators were. He had no intention of missing this, even if there was not really anything for him to do here.
Meanwhile, a certain black-furred ambassador was not present. Byss was back in the Savages embassy preparing for an event going on at the other side of the station; in her place to represent the Savages instead was a similar looking nisi-An woman, black furred with red splotches. She was quite obviously a deal older than Byss though.
Ouma Honorskull, Byss' mother, wore a simple summer-style dress that was a rich sky blue color; plain, but very well made, it was no mere cheap dress. As was traditional to nisi style for formal occasions, she also had a mask: the typical kitsune shape in the usual white color, with a bright orange spiral starting on the left cheek and curving up into the left ear. However, perhaps out of respect for human customs, the mask was currently hanging from her neck instead of on her face.
Ouma had no comment for the ambassadors around her, and just watched the Verandi queen.
Meanwhile, at a docking station opposite from where the queen was, the place was in a bit of a chaotic disarray. A rather unprecedented number of nisi passenger ships had arrived, along with a smaller number of sirian passenger ships. The gathering was enough that an enforcement ship from the Savages Department of Defense had come along too, whose load of officers were coordinating with Tranquility security to keep their people in check; a move by Caniet since she of course knew how nisi could get, and didn't want other members of the GN to think that they were unwilling to enforce order. It seemed for the best too: No less than seven fights between nisi women had been broken up, what looked like fights between nisi and sirians about to start where forcefully prevented at least five times, and two nisi men had been supplied with pants before inadvertently breaking Tranquility's public indecency rules; and the crowd hadn't even been there an hour yet.
Of course with the nisi came gleep as well. Though far outnumbered by their furred counterparts, the gleep were of course much better behaved, and either followed after their nisi companions or rode on wheeled luggage. After going through the dock security, (Which was currently a bit overwhelmed with the number of nisi homemade guns they had to confiscate.) the crowd split as people either went to secure a hotel room, go get some food after the trip, went to do something else, or got in line for the event they had all arrived for. Posters had been plastered up or projected on screen or hologram all over; mostly movie posters in Eqit, most of which showed a gigantically scaled nisi woman on a rampage in sirian cities. The most prominent was a pair of posters showing a nisi woman who could be easily mistaken for Byss, fake uniform and all, but was not Byss.
The biggest of the Savages' Attack of the Colossal Nisi fan convention had come to Tranquility, and the main event this year was the chance to see the real Byss Honorskull, along with the actress made famous for portraying her, Kattingu Redscreamer, as the two would meet each other for the first time as well.

You are reading this.Tranquility, two months later — Azunn
The past two months had been spent compiling and sending reports, checking and rechecking security arrangements, and other minor busywork. It had in all honesty blurred together for Azunn. On the plus side, he had managed to finish his current project, which now held a prominent position among his other models. Of course, that meant just another model to be completed - not that Azunn was complaining.
The Sirian Union's ambassador stood among the rest of his colleagues. The clothing he wore was pure white in colour, though a short dark blue sagum-like garment was worn on his right shoulder. Traditionally associated with Sirian military dress uniforms, the item spread to the officers' husbands as a status symbol. They spread from there to become part of extremely formal wear. To avoid running afoul of the law, these civilian sagums were dyed in obviously non-military colours.
Azunn's top was more like a fitted double-breasted coat, reaching down to about knee level. It also had a mandarin collar. The immaculate garment was decorated in silver thread with floral patterns. The silver patterns shone dully in the artificial lighting of the space station. His trousers and shoes were similarly spotless. The white furred Sirian politely ignored Zelophehad's comment; if he wanted to hear such things, then he would have read a tabloid.
In the back of his mind was Byss's absence, and the Nisi woman in her place. He wondered if, perhaps, it had anything to do with the convention that he had read about a week or two before. Once this had finished, perhaps he would take a look.
Locking you up on radar since '09Filanticu - Choco Royale
"Incoming!" someone in the stands shouted. A score of choco grenades thrown in a volley at the flying heiwans missed their targets and were about to explode in the audience. Most of them crashed right into where Linda and Hrof were sitting.
Solaris "Soli" did not say anything on account of the sugary death dealt to her face, but did give Bobby a thumbs up of encouragement. The fellows who had taken down the Verandi girl were in turn felled by Bobby's bananas.
Cover was scarce, Bobby would find. In fact, he would find no cover in the nearby vicinity at all. Unless the large girth of an Amalah battler counted. Whatever the case, Bobby needed to decide fast; a heiwan was bearing down on him from above, aiming for a strafing run with a marshmallow blaster.
Tranquility
Tebigon and Seo led the queen to the ambassadors' sector. At five feet and five inches, she certainly was shorter than most people had imagined. Compared to her father and late brother, both of whom had at least a foot on her. Flanked by the Verandi GN representatives who were also of great height, one lean and the other wide and muscular, she looked positively diminutive.
Nevertheless, a practiced air of regality surrounded the monarch. The self-assurance of one who ruled over a dozen stars permeated her being, radiating like the twin golden suns of Verandi embroidered on her sleeves.
Taking the sides of her dress, she curtsied before the representatives of the Known Galaxy. "Good day to you all. It is my honor to make your acquaintance."
Zelophehad, at the head of the group by virtue of being the shortest, responded first. Bending his front legs and lowering his head he said, "The honor is all ours. Your Majesty, my deepest sympathies on the loss of your father and my sincerest welcome to Tranquility."
Sol System
Soon enough, Tranquility would receive word of a certain Izeran ship arriving in the system.
Filanticu - with Solaris
"Alright, take it easy, ladies." Solaris held up her hands as if to forestall any argument. "How about I buy this time, captain's treat. Since you are both here, I suppose this is a convenient opportunity to get some questions answered."
There were several dining establishments for foreigners in this dockside area. Solaris' eyes went right past the one written in Amalah. She flirted with the idea of trying the one next door for Snailians before deciding to stick with what she knew, and what she knew would not not kill her new employees. She would never understand how a species that liked to electrocute themselves while eating survived to make it to the interstellar age.
Third place had a Rakashan vibe. That at least, had decent enough food.
"Is this good for you two?" Solaris asked Jenny and Ligia, jerking her thumb at the restaurant.

[Filanticu] - (Choco-Combat Colosseum)
Incoming!
Linda looked up, and her eyes widened at the sight of the oncoming chocolate explosives. Thinking quickly, she scrambled up, over her seat and ducked behind Hrof with only a moment to spare before detonation.
[Tranquility]
Mnhiri bowed deeply, and was the next to speak up. "We are honoured by your presence here, Your Grace." She said.
A quiet buzz could be heard from her pocket, and she knew that, at this stage, that could only mean one thing.
"Ah," She said, with a smile. "It seems Empress Tanis will be arriving imminently. If you will please excuse me, Your Highness, I must be there to greet her..."
[Sol System >>> Tranquility]
The shuttle Moz'ouye made its way to Tranquility at a fair clip, the various Izeran battleships and cruisers that guarded the station each sending the vessel a quick salute. Tanis watched them go by on the display screen from the shuttle's particularly cushy cabin, and smiled. Izeran starships, proudly and boldly stationed in the heart of galactic politics, all around the Galactic Nations' headquarters. The ambassador had done a good job, and Tanis made a mental note to tell her as much. Privately.
A handmaiden entered the room, bowed quickly, then spoke. "Milady, the pilot reports that we shall be docking shortly." Tanis looked over at her and nodded. With another bow, the servant left the room, leaving the Empress alone once more. She swiped her finger across the display, changing its function to that of a mirror. She was already dressed to impress; appearances were important, after all, even among friends. She swept back her long, straight, light brown hair, looked into the emerald-green eyes of her reflection and made the deadliest, iciest, most serious no-nonsense face she could. Satisfied, she smiled, and moved on to other things. By now, this was a well-practised routine for her. She had an image to maintain, after all.
Her long, elegant black dress was part of that image, though not as much as the longsword on her back. Neatly fastened to her by two silver-inlaid belts was a weapon almost as elegant as her lovely dress, and at about 4.2 feet in total length, it was almost as long as she was tall, even in her comparatively rather modest high heels (which were still of a fine make, obviously). The sheath was transparent, save for the intricate gold leaf patterns that wrapped around it, allowing the blade to shine in the right light. Aside from just being a fine piece of craftsmanship, the sword was also a family heirloom, and had been for centuries. Many people thought that it had been carried by Nijar Szera himself, though Tanis knew that there wasn't any proof of that. She'd studied the man too well to be fooled by popular myths. It was also a great deal lighter than it looked, something she - and especially her back - was appreciative of.
It was hardly the only symbol of the Izeran monarchy, however. Indeed, it wasn't even really the main one. Despite prevalent references to the "Izeran Crown," few Izeran monarchs ever actually wore one, with their power and legitimacy instead being symbolized by the sa-te'kru fereiksu. Roughly - very roughly - translating to king maker, it was a palladium arm ring, worn around the left bicep and encrusted with diamonds, with long, thin chains of gold leading down the forearm and connecting to five platinum rings, one on each finger. Its symbolic meaning was almost as deep and profound as its history, having been handed to the first Emperor of Izera by Mila herself. It also caused chafing after being worn for long periods of time, so Tanis had quietly arranged to have it adjusted slightly, just before setting off for Tranquility.
With everything set and the shuttle entering the docking bay, she took one last look at her reflection and set off for the exit.
There had been an unprecedented amount of security forces present for Amelia's arrival. Tanis' arrival was no less secure, a fact easily observed by anyone who was privy to the event. The Moz'ouye 's ramp opened up and yet more guards came out, marching out in a very orderly, synchronized fashion, and dispersing appropriately. Close behind them, the Empress herself stopped at the top of the ramp, radiating confidence and pausing to look out over the crowd, as though she were inspecting them and was unimpressed by what she saw. Following behind her was a handful of advisers who, though dignitaries in their own right, mostly stayed quiet and took their cues from the Empress.
Mnhiri met her at the end of the ramp, a knot in her stomach and a single thought running through her mind. Don't screw up, don't screw up, don't screw up, don't screw up... As the Empress approached, Mnhiri saluted crisply, as did her senior staff, who all stood behind her. Then they all bowed down on one knee and and lowered their heads. "My lady!" Said Mnhiri. "Your presence among us is a true privilege." For a few moments afterwards, Tanis said nothing, content to let the ambassador and her staff bow a bit longer. Finally, she spoke. "You may rise, ambassador." And Mnhiri did so, her staff following her lead.
She soon led Tanis over to Queen Amelia and all the ambassadors. The Empress addressed her royal counterpart first, of course. "Queen Amelia. Always a pleasure to see you again." She said, coolly, formally, and with a polite nod. Soon after, she turned her attention to the group of ambassadors. "And greetings to you all as well. Meeting the fine representatives of the Galactic Nations is always a privilege." She said, in the same tone, though without the nod. She was careful to only make eye contact with a select few of them.

Not entirely dead.Filanticu — With Maros and Rosemary
Having had enough of the Heiwan moon, Maros began to walk back towards the dock. Rosemary, curious that the Ashkathi was leaving, began to follow him. "Wait!" she exclaimed. "Where are you going? There's still so much to see here, and if I heard correctly, you're going to be staying here a bit longer, am I correct?" she asked. Maros turned his head back towards her.
"Are we? That is a bit disappointing. I was hoping to get back on the ship and read some more. But if you insist," Maros sighed. Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Arij standing nearby one of the stalls nearest to the docks. He walked over to the Zehir. "Ms. Arij!" Maros shouted to get her attention. "Where have you been all this time?" he asked. "It doesn't matter. This is our new chef, Ms. Rosemary. She is... a Rhizon construct, I believe?" he asked. Rosemary nodded.
"Yes, I am indeed a Rhizon construct. Not affiliated with the Collective, though," Rosemary assured the two of them. Maros was a bit relieved— he had heard that the Collective was fairly... untrustworthy.
Tranquility — With Koruuna and Rhizon Vei
As soon as Queen Amelia stepped out of her ship, Koruuna trilled with delight, and lowered her head respectfully. Rhizon Vei, not wanting to look out of place, fell to one knee. "Welcome to Tranquility, Your Majesty," Koruuna greeted warmly. "The Ashkathi Union officially gives its condolences to His Highness your father," she added solemnly. Rhizon Vei looked back up, not getting off her knee.
"We of the Rhizon Collective welcome you to Tranquility. We strive to maintain positive relationships with the Verandi Empire since your grandfather taught Us the error of Our ways," Vei assured the queen.
As Empress Tanis also approached the ambassadors, Koruuna and Rhizon Vei once again bowed in respect. "The Ashkathi Union officially welcomes you, Empress Tanis of the Izeran Empire," Koruuna greeted. Rhizon Vei bowed again in respect.
"Official greetings from the Rhizon Collective, Your Majesty," Rhizon Vei told Tanis. "We extend Our hand in friendship and trust."
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Filanticu — With Maros and Rosemary
What Arij had heard about the Collective was... not much, actually. Truth be told, she never studied the Known Galaxy beyond the states bordering Zehir, and even those studies lacked any depth beyond casual wikipedia browsing. Earth was the furthest she had ever traveled from home. Her lack of knowledge irked her and not for the first time she regretted not having lived up to her clan's name until now.
Now with that clan's reputation on the line, Arij smiled and nodded at Rosemary's introduction, even as words like construct and collective went right over her head.
"Neat!" Arij said, hoping that would be vague enough an answer to fill any expectations her crew mates had of her. If it was not, well, her uncle always did say her accent was 'fast forward'.

Chocolate Cow Pens — Erruan
Erruan eventually arrived at the pens where the chocolate cows were being kept, complete with a brightly coloured banner boldly exclaiming "Come see our galaxy famous chocolate cows!". The sirian security officer cynically wondered if they were actually famous around the galaxy or if it was a marketing ploy, much like some other "galaxy famous" establishments she had visited in her time. The creatures reminded her somewhat of Siria's zatrus, though those looked a bit more ungainly on their feet, and rather than spots had a striped coat.
However, for all her musings Erruan made sure to keep an eye on the rest of the crew.
Tranquility — Azunn
Azunn bowed deeply, his ears flattening and his tail tucking itself downwards. He held this position for a second, and then returned to an upright stance. The Sirian ambassador's clothing seemed to shimmer as he moved. "As the chosen representative of my people, I would like to say that we are honoured by Their Highnesses' presence. We share the Verandi people's grief at the passing of a fine statesman and ruler. If there is anything that the Sirian Union can do to assist in this time of sorrow, we will not hesitate to do so."
He caught the Empress's eye contact, but elected not to draw attention to it; doubtlessly, that was what the Empress intended.
Locking you up on radar since '09Ligia glanced at the restaurant Solaris motioned to, then grabbed her translator and tried to get an idea of what kind of food they would serve. "Long as there's no hair in meat, should be okay" Ligia said, looking back at Solaris. Ligia was under the mistaken impression that the place served literally rakashan meat, but that didn't bother her nor did she feel the need to bring it up.
Hrof saw the chocolate grenades come into the stands, but did not seem particularly concerned. He knew that they could do no real harm to him or Linda, especially not himself in his armor, which he could just rinse off with a shower or hose later. He only crossed his arms in front of his visor, to try and keep it from getting splattered with chocolate that would obscure his vision.
He didn't mind or do anything about Linda hiding behind him.

"People tell me that Rakashian food smells terrible," Jenny said. "But that's not a problem for me, at least." She giggled and pointed at her face, just above her mouth - the place her nose would be if she were any other species in the galaxy. "But the taste is okay, I like it. And more importantly, so does Reginald."
The diminutive dachshund let out a little yip and nodded his head.
Chocolate Combat Colosseum
Bobby knuckle-sprinted forwards and dover for cover, attempting to use a particularly large amalah's body to shield himself from the Heiwan's strafing run.He also took advantage of his opposable thumb, and briefly returned the thumbs-up to Soli with his left hand, while he lay in wait. He pointed his chocolate chaingun upwards, and prepared to fire on the Heiwan if he followed his flight path.
Tranquility Space Habitat, Sol System - Queen's Dock
Rufus tucked her right arm over her stomach and gave a brief bow to Amelia. "It is always a pleasant day when you visit, Queen Amelia, although I wish it were not due to such grave circumstances. This unit cannot even hope to emulate the depths of the sympathy I wish to convey."
Tranquility
Amelia waited for each ambassador to convey their greetings and condolences. She could not respond to each individually, instead opting to give another curtsy of acknowledgement when the had finished.
A commotion behind her indicated another shuttle was arriving. Amelia did not bother to hid her inappropriate grin when Tanis finally appeared. For a third time, she curtsied, letting her head bow a little lower in respect for her Izeran counterpart.
Tebigon and Seo put more flourish in their prostrations before Tanis. "Your Majesty, thank you for gracing us with your presence." Tebigon did the speaking for them. "On behalf of the Galactic Nations, I welcome you to Tranquility."
The collection of ambassadors and heads of state led to furious picture taking. Within minutes, images would be beamed down to Earth and Luna, to the rest of Sol, or sent to awaiting ships on the outskirts of the solar system, ready to spring to the next star to spread the news that two heads of state had arrived at Tranquility.
Following the script, a vehicle appeared just beyond the crowd. Seo jerked his head to Tebigon, who leaned over to Mnhiri.
"Their ride is here." he whispered.
The plan was to give the two monarchs a chance to catch up with each other and their respective agents in Tranquility on the way to their residences. A luxurious white car, the passenger section had the seats arranged in a circle, with a small table in the middle. A white dome covered the top, obscuring any attempts to peer inside.
Filanticu - Choco Wars
The chocolate explosive exploded explosively, showering Hrof and everyone else who did not take cover with drips of dark syrup. Linda almost got out clean except for her hair.
Down below, Bobby's fire hit the heiwan, who beat a hast retreat. He fired wildly behind him, hitting the amalah Bobby was using as a shield. This stirred the giant alien into moving, which only then made him take notice of Bobby. With a giant banana split hammer in tentacle, he swung at the gorilla.

Filanticu — With Maros and Rosemary
Rosemary winced and giggled. "Such enthusiasm! Well, I'm hoping to make a good impression to the crew, so I want to make a bit of a banquet. A little something Verandi here, a little something Sirian here, maybe even something that my Ashkathi friend here could enjoy!" she explained, gesturing over to Maros. Maros glanced at her and shook his head.
"That won't be necessary, Miss Rosemary. I'm partial to most anything myself," Maros assured Rosemary, but Rosemary shook her head right back.
"No, I insist. I will be the best cook you've ever had," Rosemary stated in a somewhat stern but caring way. She then turned back to Arij. "If you at all know what your crew-mates like to eat, don't hesitate to tell me."
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.[Tranquility]
Mnhiri nodded to Tebigon, the approached Tanis. "Milady," She said. "The vehicle has arrived. If it pleases you, we should proceed with the schedule now." Tanis nodded in response. She was well-aware of the script her visit was following, having reviewed it several times with her security chief.
Approaching the vehicle, she took a moment to carefully undo the belts fastening her sword to her, as it would be very difficult to sit down with a 4.2ft longsword on her back. She got in and sat down in a terribly dignified manner, delicately resting the sword on her lap.
As Mnhiri sat next to her, she found that about half of the sword's blade was now on her lap. She was sitting right next to the Empress with half of a national treasure on her lap. She wondered if this would be the most important day of her life.
Once everyone was in the vehicle and it had gotten underway, Tanis turned towards her. "By the way, ambassador, you did well in arranging for Izeran ships to guard Tranquility. It was a fine solution for all parties, and I am pleased with the results thus far."
"Oh! Thank you very much, Your Highness. I am honoured." Said Mnhiri, a bit startled by the compliment.
Yes. She thought. Yes, this is almost certainly the most important day of my life.
Not entirely dead.Chocolate Combat Colosseum
The lumbering amalah was too close for Bobby to optimally utilize his Cocoa Chain Gun. Forced to think quick, he settled on a measure of last resort.
He threw his massive gun at the amalah's face, and used the generated rearwards momentum to roll backwards the way he had come from earlier.

[Filanticu] - (Choco-Combat Colosseum)
"Ah, fuck!" Said Linda, poking her head out from behind Hrof. "Goddess! Now my hair's gonna smell like fucking chocolate syrup!" She said, trying to wipe the sweet, oozing substance out of her hair before its constant threat to drip into her face became a reality. "Well... I suppose there's worse things it could smell of..." She sighed, and looked back at her seat, discovering that it was now covered entirely in syrup. It was then that she decided that peering Hrof's shoulder was a good enough view for her. "Man, I wish this place handed out raincoats or something with the tickets." She muttered.
Not entirely dead.Chocolate Combat Colosseum
The gun distracted the amalah, who skitted back to avoid the weapon landing on his head. Meanwhile the audience laughed, or clapped, or otherwise expressed their amusement with rolly polly bally Bobby. His casual contempt for coco carnage made him a hero in the eyes of many onlookers. With all the grace of a 900 pound gorilla, Bobby avoided ice cream, marshmallows, and chocolate syrup all coming his way.
The same could not be said for Linda, who now had mini marshmallows dropped on her head as one participant decided to just shoot at the audience before his health bar reach zero and disqualified him. Hrof escaped this barrage.
But now Bobby could not escape his fate. He had caught the eye of the remaining gladiators, and forgetting all other rivalries for the moment, they all grouped around the rolling gorilla. When he would come to a stop, he would be in the middle of a ring of desserty death, with every weapon pointed at him.
Chocolate Combat Colosseum
"This situation was improbable, but not implausible," Bobby said to the gladiators who encircled him, his red robotic eye gazing at them. "Regardless of its outcome, the data collected here by this unit today will serve countless generations to come. You have my thanks."
It became clear why Bobby had decided to roll back in the direction he had come from, instead of what would have been the sensible thing to do and roll around the Amalah: Solaris. Though the poor girl may have been down for the count (and her blood sugar through the roof), her weapons were still in the game. He rolled himself towards her gun, picking it up and started firing at the threats most likely to hit him instead of their neighbors.
"It appears that Bobby may be soon to lose" Hrof commented simply, uncaring about the small marshmallows bouncing off of his suit. Though the method of simulation for this battle was quite ridiculous in Hrof's view, it nevertheless was an interesting example of the way a number of different species fought.
Ouma let out a breath of relief through her nostrils. She didn't think herself a bad speaker; the family had chosen her to go in her daughter's stead for good reason. But nevertheless, explaining to both the Verandi Queen and Izeran Empress why the Savages' primary ambassador didn't attend their arrival personally would've been... Awkward. Ouma considered it both a blessing and a curse that they seemed to consider the Savages beneath them enough to not address the issue immediately.
After the vehicle with the two royalty on board started to leave, Ouma grabbed her mask and put it on her face. She then glanced one last time at the various ambassadors present, her expression hidden behind the mask, before turning to leave herself.
It truly had been an unfortunate coincidence in timing, that Byss was unable to attend the arrival of royalty because she had to spend the time preparing for the convention. But it was already too late to be helped, as it was about that time that Byss and most of her family were just walking out of the embassy, heading towards the area of Tranquility where the convention was being held; accompanying them was a few of the event organizers, whom Byss had just been spending the last while discussing details with.
"It feel good to be like celebrity again" Chusime remarked as they walked, sending a parting wave to some excited fans who'd ended up around this area of the station, now taking pictures of the Honorskulls as they walked.
"Oh, this day is wonderful in more ways than one" Byss agreed, her own gaze catching a couple of sirians. Byss couldn't help a slightly malicious grin as she saw their expressions: combinations of amazement, anger, and fear. It had been too long since any sirian had looked at her like that; Azunn's bodyguards sometimes looked angry but that was only when they didn't have a helmet on, and Azunn himself had that politician poker face that Byss felt about as comfortable seeing on a sirian as she did the inside of a sirian jail cell. "Let's be sure to enjoy it" she said, getting agreements from her family members.
Something else also managed to get Byss' attention, and that was the occasional nisi man among the fans, typically looking around with that almost-lost expression of curiosity that nisi men tended to get when they first went to a place they weren't familiar with. Byss thought that maybe with some luck, she could continue the fun into nighttime, but right now she had other things to concentrate on. First was meeting Kattingu Redscreamer at the main convention hall.

"Aw fuck! Seriously? Seriously?!" Said Linda. "The syrup wasn't bad enough? Is there gonna be whipped cream next? Ice cream? Yeah, fucking sure, just make a whole fucking chocolate goddamned sundae right on my fucking head!" She complained as she picked marshmallows out of her hair. She was complaining so much that she almost didn't hear Hrof's comment. Almost. She poked her chocolate-covered head around his side just in time to witness Bobby's sugary fate...
Not entirely dead.Filanticu - Rakashan Restaurant
Solaris and crew had evidently walked in during a slow point for the diner. The dimly lit, windowless restaurant had only five other patrons despite the capacity to easily hold ten times as many. Three Rakashans had a corner booth to themselves and were talking in low voices among themselves without sparing the Caroline crew a single glance. In the opposite corner another Rakashan ate alone, and a heiwan also sat by herself at one of the center tables.
A stout Rakashan behind the counter looked up from his computer and waved and the newcomers.
"Hello and welcome!" he said in a voice that somehow managed to be both booming and squeaky. He spared a momentary glance and the dog before looking up again. "How might I be of service?"
"Hello." Solaris said back before looking at the menu floating overhead. The meals were exclusively Rakashan, with not a Verandi meal in sight. Solaris had sampled a variety of foreign food while crossing the stars, a habit all good space travelers developed unless they planned on eating cheap meals stocked up from home for months.
"I shall have the #3 meal, please." She decided before heading for an empty table. The chairs were for Rakashans, for that matter, so was the table, but a few buttons pressed on the control panel of the table adjusted the size of both. She sat down and motioned for Jenny and Ligia to do likewise.
"So, what brought you two to this moon?"
Following Solaris inside, Ligia took a quick look over the menu on her PDA when the translation came up; she skipped straight to the meat dishes, since she was a nisi. "Ligia take number seven steak, rare. Hold side" Ligia told the rakashan, then followed Solaris to the table, her attention intrigued by the size-modifying table.
"Ligia come for work" Ligia answered Solaris, poking at one of the joints where the table had expanded. "Bird people pay good and work is easy; but stupid bird people too annoying. Ligia want to leave, and finish fighter" she explained further.
You are reading this.Rakashan Restaurant, Filanticu, Free Minds Society
Jenny waddled along behind the two, ordering last. "As for me, I'd like the #4 combo, serve the meat raw, the vegetables overcooked, extra cream, and extra spicy. And since I'm thirsty, a can of Dr. Prepper. As for the gentleman," she casually patted Reginald's head, who responded with a light yip. "Will have kid's menu item #1. Well done, of course."
After that, she went to the table and sat down - but not without first flipping her chair upside down. With the chair's legs facing up, she rested her own legs on all sides of the chair before 'sitting'. Likewise, she pulled back the chair next to her, set her briefcase on it, and raised it up so that Reginald could have a seat with his head at a reasonable height.
As she opened her can of soda, she answered Solaris's question. "Oh, just work, mostly. I live on the Behemoth, and we're planetside during the chocolate convention. I had enough vacation time stored up that I could attend the festival... although going to jail for a few hours wasn't part of the plan."
Tranquility - Leader Arrival Area
A shadow appeared behind Rhizon Vei, briefly blocking out a large amount of light before moving off of her again. The source of the sudden shade was no other than Lisfinniarareran, who now stood towering over the Rhizon construct. From xer shoulders, Zemarius adjusted his limbs to stand straight before addressing the ambassador.
"Quite the sight, wouldn't you say?" he asked the Rhizon ambassador. "Of course, our ships are bigger. Much bigger. And they can transport goods all over the galaxy."

Rhizon Vei noticed the shadow looming over her and she turned around, jumping at the sight of the simale Kuhn towering over her. Once she realized who it was, she recomposed herself. "If We are correct in our information," Vei replied calmly to the two Kuhneebo, "you are Zemarius and Lisfinniarareran of the Kuhneebo Conglomerate," she deduced. "We have heard of your kind, and your ships. If We are not mistaken, Kuhneebo arks are not lit in frequencies this one's eyes are designed to see in. Thus, they would not be of much use to it." Koruuna couldn't help but overhear the conversation, and she turned towards the two.
"Hello!" Koruuna greeted cheerfully. She bowed respectfully to them. "The Ashkathi Union extends its greetings to you both." Rhizon Vei shook her head softly at the Ashkathi ambassador, then turned back towards the Kuhneebo.
"At any rate, what is the intended purpose of this discussion?" Rhizon Vei inquired.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.Filanticu — With Maros and Rosemary
"Well, he likes popcorn." Arij jerked her head towards Maros. "The captain's on a diet so soup, salads, mostly that green stuff for her. Same goes for the first mate, but that's because of his religion or something like that. And that flying emo."
Thinking it over some more, Arij tapped her own head with a rocky fist, trying to stimulate her memory. "Most of the crew is Verandi, Vermillionese, I think. Oh, whatsherface is from Saffron. I heard Soli saying she was dying for some katsu curry. And Sennal said she was dying for some real enchiladas. Don't serve ramen!" Arij was suddenly shouting. "Not even that classy stuff. Trust me, they all said they'd riot if they had to eat ramen for one more week."
Back to mulling it over. "I dunno what the doc eats, it's some sort of pasty stuff."
Choco Coliseum
"You're welcome!" Some unknown gladiator was polite enough to say back to Bobby before all of them opened fire at the same time as the gorilla. All manners of sugar and sweets and frozen dairy treats pounded him from all sides. His return fire by comparison proved fruitless in the onslaught. His HP bar dropped lower and lower until finally it was gone. Bobby was out of the game.
So too were 3/4ths of the contestants who had ganged up on him. In their haste to defeat the Norb, most of the encircling attackers inadvertently (or perhaps not, it was still a battle royale after all) struck the gladiators directly across from them, and kept on pummeling them without regard. Within a few minutes of Bobby's loss, the remaining one-fourth had become a mere four, then two, then one.
"WE HAVE A WINNER!" The announcers creamed in multiple languages. Down in the coliseum a lone Rakashan covered in chocolate syrup and ice cream danced a victory dance.
From even more down, Soli was getting up and wiping the whipped cream from her eyes. "Did we win?"

[Filanticu - Chocolate Combat Colosseum]
Although she was quite surprised to see many of her crewmates enter the arena, Linda quickly lost herself in the action, enthusiastically cheering with the rest of the crowd. And whenever there was a large explosion of cream or chocolate or anything like that, anything that threatened to splatter onto the crowd, she did everything she could to hide from the blasts, and was not at all above using Hrof as a shield.
[Tranquility]
Mnhiri was very sharply dressed. Rarely, if ever, was she seen dressed in anything that couldn't be described as 'sharp', but today was a special day. Her black, military dress uniform was freshly cleaned and pressed, absolutely straight wherever it needed to be absolutely straight, and utterly spotless as though it had been made only moments ago in a vacuum. A belt was fastened tightly around her waist, and on her hip was the rapier-like sword that usually hung on the wall in her office. She very much doubted that she would need to unsheathe it today - or ever, really - but just in case she was wrong, she'd had it cleaned and polished by a specialist. She'd had the sheathe itself cleaned too, and even went a little further and spent the extra money to have it inlaid with some gold.
Over her heart, her primary heart, was her old rank insignia - Lieutenant Commander - , the Royal Izeran Space Force's symbol, and the name of the last ship she'd served on, the Royal Izeran Warship Aensai. Just below all that, displayed slightly more prominently, was a badge of the symbol of the Royal Izean Ambassadors' Corps, which she'd been afforded at the start of her career on Tranquility. Absently she tugged at her uniform's collar and picked at its silvery trim. It was a bit too tight and it rubbed against her neck uncomfortably. She was so lost in her reverie that she didn't even notice Queen Amelia arrive until she heard Zelophehad's comment. She snapped back to reality and stood ready and eager to greet the Verandi Queen with everyone else.
She was preoccupied because the Empress would arrive soon. Probably within the hour. And even if her career hadn't been totally at the Empress' approval, she was not a woman to be trifled with. Mnhiri could not, for the life of her, understand how the sweet little girl she'd seen in those old records had turned into someone so thoroughly intimidating...
Not entirely dead.
