The monster takes another step, but then turns around, as though changing its mind.
"Sword boring. Humans run. Humans fight. Humans squeal. Humans way more fun to burn!"
It charges at Mr. Fab with surprising speed.
I'm guessing Hobo's having technical problems or something.

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."The infernal monster launches a telegraphed but powerful punch, its fist Wreathed in Flames.
Your conclusion is quite correct - the aura of heat emanating from the monster is very intense. Even an indirect hit, near miss, or block (depending on how it's blocked) will be significantly damaging.
"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."I was correct then.(moves away to avoid the punch) Hm. Two fires eating at each other will eventually mutually perish. If so...(his sword begins pulsating with some golden energy) I must use the stronger fire! Metal Silver Overdrive!(slashes at his enemy with this enhanced blade, the very power of the sun resonating in there faintly)
(if hit, his enemy will be send backwards, blown several meters away)
The Destroyer holds out its hand, catching the blade on its palm and closing its fist around it. The blast from the blade demolishes its arm, which blows apart like rock, but due to its size and weight the creature is only forced to step backwards.
Meanwhile, standing next to the creature feels like standing next to a bonfire, and your arm feels like it's on fire, even though it's not (yet).
It launches another powerful but obvious punch with its other hand.
"Swords melt. Humans burn. All will burn!"

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."Sorry about that, RL was being a bitch again.
The Transistor watches the battle intently.
Well, then, I better do something about that.
The Transistor attempts to draw the beast's attention by using Breach(), firing a powerful blue beam of energy at the beast's back.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noMr. Fab's hair goes on fire from the creature's burning aura as he ducks the punch, and the unempowered blade has the exact effect you'd expect of hitting a rock with a sword. It also begins to rapidly grow hot.
The beam slams into the creature's back, blasting a significant crater in it, and it staggers forwards... towards Mr. Fab.
It's already hot enough standing near it, imagine the damage touching it would do...

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."Not on my watch.
ACTIVATE TURN()!
The Turn(). One of the main Functions() of the Transistor, it stops the passage of time, and throws the Transistor into a little VR simulator of the battlefield. Here, the Transistor formulates battle plans in less than a second, then carries them out at the speed of a bullet.
First, Get() him away from the gentleman. This'll shoot a magnetic grappling hook that should reel him in towards me, away from that fellow over there.
Next, I Crash() him hard and fast, slamming myself down hard on his back, hopefully interrupting his attacks and stunning him. The extra backstab damage is a bonus.
Finally, I Jaunt() the hell outta there, Flash Stepping out of his damaging aura. No need to waste that health.
Alright, good to go.
TURN() COMMENCE

pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha no"You cannot, fool. Flame will consume you. All will burn. Neither sword nor flesh can stop me."
The creature seems completely unfazed by the damage it has suffered. Then, the Transistor's Turn () activates.
The Grappling Hook successfully latches onto the Infernal Destroyer, but it's a heavy bugger and doesn't shift that far, and the grappling hook begins to melt away. The backstab follow-up similarly hits, but deals limited damage - again, it's like hitting stone, though the enhanced blade manages to leave a visible crater in it. The final Flash Step shifts the Transistor out of range before it can be more than a little warmed up by contact with the Infernal Destroyer.
Sorry, Hobo, what are you actually doing? Are you attempting to do all that, or is it just a plan at this point?

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."The Transistor is rather surprised by the relative ineffectiveness of the previous Turn().
Well, that didn't really work. Better try that again.
The Transistor ducks behind some cover, waiting for his Turn() to recharge.
I was attempting to do all the steps above. The Turn() formulates battle plans in Bullet Time, then carries them out in Super-Speed.

pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noLike I said, if one fire is stronger than the other it will cancel the weaker one.
And know this: my heart trembles! It burns with an amazing heat! Let my heart pound!(dashes towards the beast) SUNLIGHT YELLOW OVERDRIVE!!!(initiate rapid-fire fisticuffs)
Ok, let's try this...
The Transistor manages to recharge the Turn(), and reactivates it again.
Now, this time, I Void() the beast, surrounding him with a debuffing aura that should lower his attack power and defense. Since the effect stacks, I repeat it two more times.
Then, I notice I don't have much Stamina left, so I cut to the chase and attack him now. I Breach() him from behind, shooting a beam of energy straight at his back. The beam is aided by the backstab damage and the triple-Void() debuff, so I can at least deal some major damage on the monster.
Now, go.

pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha noThe Void() debuffs take their toll on the beast, making all of the following actions more effective.
The enhanced Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs knocks several significant dents into the rock monster, basically shattering its chest, the Void() neutralizing its natural resilience. The two fires also basically cancel out; the man isn't burned, but the blazing rock can hardly be expected to take extra damage from fire.
Its fire starts to dim, and a latticework of cracks run down its body... then the beam hits it from behind, and blasts straight through its weakened form, blasting the beast's rock apart into pieces.
"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."

...Suddenly, I wish this place stayed empty.
The Transistor rises from the ground, hovering in the air, turning to face the infernal beast.
pffft hahahahahahahahahhhaahhahaha no
