The Beam, thanks to Cell's incredible power manages to nearly punch through the whirling maelstrom... nearly is the keyword as it fails just short of the eye of the storm. And what's worse is Hathor didn't even realize she was being attacked, too busy listening to the voices in her digital mind.
Actually, it's Hathor deferring respect to a higher being and as gratitude for giving her power

Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Cell watches, shocked.
"I-it failed? It never failed me before!"
Cell's eyes were shining red of anger.
"How dare you mock me!?"
Cell put one of his hands into the air and charged his energy.
"If a piercing attack can't handle you, how about an exploding one!? Big Bang Attack!!", he yelled as he launched a ball of energy at Hathor, intending to completely eradicate him.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Ah, I see. That works too. ^_^;
(the man then spares a glance for every other person present)
(and vanishes into darkness, taking what's left of Nega, the crystal swirling with Metatron energy and himself without a sound)
And with that I'm done for today. Fate's going to flip her shit once she gets to know there are now two users of Metatron.
As Cell's energy ball speeds towards Hathor, who by this point has already reached the bottom of the stratosphere... Feels a chill run up her titanium spine, even with all of her newfound power and that chill is quickly forgotten when Cell's big bang attack blasts away her maelstrom of darkness.
Fool.
Hathor wills a spear of darkness and Crystal to form on her hand and hurls it with near-perfect accuracy at Cell before she rockets out to space, intent on finding what caused her to feel fear even though she has become ascendant... And to destroy it utterly until nothing remains.
It's been real great fellas. But I gotta jet.
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Man, the power levels are kinda... escalating here. Everyone's using a damn boss-level character nowadays; Cyberna would be almost nothing special in these conditions. I mean, I don't really have any objections, but... depending how it's played, sometimes a heartfelt swordfight can be just as epic as a planetary-scale Beam-O-War.
Fate could care less about Metatron users now, she's had a few chats with Anubis since. What will push her and Nanoha's berserk buttons is the rebirth of Idolo.

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."Cell is impaled by the spear created by Hathor. Cell, unaware of dark powers, tries to remove it by powering up but that makes it explode. After the explosion he has lost most of his body. But he seems unworried.
"Kekekeke... do these fools not know...that while my power isn't as great as theirs..."
Suddenly, Cell's body grew back, like nothing had happened at all.
"That I can regenerate? Keh."
He looked around.
"Only the tiny attacker and the ice queen are left. And she looks to be hurt and tired... Perhaps this is my chance..."
Cell slowly walked towards Cirno and opened up his tail.
Don't worry about me. While I have all of Cell's attacks, I have the power of Imperfect Cell, so I'm one of the weakest around here.

@Micool:The guys who brought Idolo back as Hathor? Led by the same one who made Anubis and Company. Though he was totally against it, loads of money, orders from the CEO of the company that he works for and the chance to redo his first work was too good to pass up.

Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Unfortunately for Cell, he did decide to go for the strongest in Gensokyo, and Cirno may be tired, but she is not stupid. She remembers the bug as an enemy, and noticing that he's nowhere in sight she whips around...
"What in a name... is up... with that tail?"
I was almost tempted to let you devour her but... I dunno, just doesn't quite feel right to have her go down like this after setting her up as so powerful...
Cell grinned. She had seen him, but it didn't matter to him. He knew what to do to defeat her. He put his hands on his head once again, readying to use the blinding Solar Flare attack to absorb her without any chance of interruptions, as those around them would be blinded too.
I never intended to let Cell get you anyway, it'd be too easy to absorb a strong warrior during Cell's first day of rampage. I will, however, not let him go down easily, so if you defeat him you better do it right.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.A cold and analytical fighter, Cirno has already shown during her stay in the arena that she is good at keeping things in mind. And she would definitely not forget this posture, the one preceding the attack that cost her minutes of her eyesight. She cannot afford this to happen again - not within range of a horrific-looking tail which she has absolutely no intention of spending any amount of time inside of.
She shuts her eyes and bolts straight upwards, propelled by a gust of icy wind for extra thrust and hoping that Cell will not have the speed to catch up with her before she is confident the threat has passed.

Cell looked as Cirno flew into the air. While Cell was fast, he knew he wouldn't be able to beat her speed if she flew in a straight line.
So he had to 'cut' her escape plan short. He put his hand in the air and a disc formed.
"Kienzan!", he screeched as he threw the disk at her. He then flew after the disk in order to catch her when she'd dodge.
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Cirno is aware that she cannot spend the whole battle with her eyes closed. So she decides to keep one eye open at any given time. If Cell manages a Solar Flare, at least she'll have the other one. The way he attempted to attack her despite getting soundly trounced earlier makes her a lot more careful about engaging him. Something about his tail...
She hears Cell's shout and turns around to see a sharp disk spinning towards her and the insectoid himself doing the same. If he is trying to force her in melee, she will have none of that. Cirno rolls out of the disk's way and starts pelting Cell with barrages of icicles.
"Keh!?", Cell said as he saw that his tactic had failed. His eyes lit up and shot lasers at the icicles to destroy them. He then flew in front of Cirno and attacked her with his tail.
Just in case someone doesn't know, Cell can actually use eye lasers. He uses it against an army when he's trying to absorb Piccolo's arm. I also have a list of all of Cell's attacks near me at all times so I'll know what to use to ensure Cell's survival.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.I have the same list next to me as well. According to it, ensuring Cell's survival is pretty easy considering that he can regenerate From a Single Cell.
"I am in no mood for games. Ice Sign [Cold Grasp Of Death]!"
A white aura swirls around one of Cirno's arms, converting it into a giant claw of ice
. She tries to grab Cell's tail and tear it off. If Cell tries to devour the giant claw, his tail will be full of ice spikes for his trouble, and it is unlikely he'll actually get Cirno considering that the ice claw is much larger than her actual arm inside it.
"GAAAH!", Cell screached as Cirno managed to tear off his tail. Cell looked in fury, but he managed to keep his cool.
"Keh... fool... how many times must I tell you that I can regenerate!"
Suddenly, Cell's tail grew back. But he looked a bit exhausted. The energy he used to regenerate was starting to take its toll.
"I'm not in the mood for games either...", he said. "In fact... while this is an oppurtunity to get more powerful... My current power is still out of your league... and I realize there is more important matter at hand here. Like this location. I've been flying around and I've seen some things of the outside. How about we call it a truce... for now?"
Cell reached out his hand to Cirno.

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay.Cirno nods, but does not reciprocate the handshake.
"Truce sounds fine to me. However, forgive me if I withhold my enthusiasm at touching any part of you when literally seconds earlier you tried to eat me with your tail."
I'm not sure if Cell could pull a sucker punch like that, but Cirno is expecting it anyways.

(watches Hathor ascend without a word)
(then glances at what's left of Nega, then at the crystal left by her)
(out of his neck grows a small, thin tentacle that wraps around it and deposits the curious artifact in his hands) ...interesting.
Nope, "merely" Nega's master. That said, watching Hathor just vamooshing out of here upon mere glance of him is priceless.
