A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

They can't learn or change personality over time.
Well the two complaints you listed couldn't be farther from the truth. I mean there are valid complaints about the story, but yours were more of a critical research failure.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThat's a bold move, Fleetfoot. Let's see if it works out for you.
Still better then that one guy who used to come here. Deathwolfwho, I think it was. I still remember the time he somehow mispelled Zecora as Decorate. (Probably autocorrect, but it's still impressive)
I haven't seen Conan The Barbarian, but being less like Clash Of The Tians can only be a good thing.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayWell, Deathcloud had problems with spelling, but he's pretty comprehensible. Spyro on the other hoof could spell a bit better, but the grammar was so well... all over the place it read like he had a bad acid trip.
Does this count as a social situation?
Do you drag them off by the ankles?
How would you know what it tastes like then?
You were there...
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI know what we can talk about: Do any of you have a movie or a TV show that you know is bad, but you can't help but enjoy to an extent anyway?
For me, there's Transformers Armada. It's a pretty bad show by all means, you've probably seen me bash the Unicron Trilogy before, and it has a load of problems. Not to mention that there are much better Transformers cartoons out there. But it was the first Transformers show I ever watched when I was a kid, and there is some redeeming value to it {Such as Starscream's character development that ends up making him an Expy of fan-favorite Dinobot}, so I can't bring myself to hate it. I still get some enjoyment from it despite it's overall problems, and it's at least way better then the really awful sequel and the mediocre 'Sequel' that was only a sequel in the American dub.

I was there, then I wasn't; amazing ain't it.
Nah, was listening to some folk Doom Metal. Basically Black Sabbath only slower, heavier, and using occult lyrics similar to their early albums.

There was also that one Mexican poster with Luna as avatar. I remember being able to figure out that Miss Rarity and Katara were his socks because of the mispellings.

As I mentioned in the thread about this topic,Kappa Mikey. It was during a time when I 1st discovered anime and started to read manga,so pretty much anything anime like had me hooked. While I will admit that the show had some problems(like animation),I loved it back when it was on and I still find myself still liking it today, even though I know more about anime and manga now then back then.I actually just found some one who worked on the show on tumblr recently and he seems like a really nice guy(even messaged me a thank you message for all the activity i had done visiting his blog).

My Tumblr "If theirs one thing I'm good at, it's blowing" Jesse Cox 2013@Marston. G1-G3. Cheesier than Luna's sandwiches, but charming, cute, and fun anyway.
On a less obvious note, the first 3 seasons of Johny Test. Is it great? Hells no. Strictly formula? But of course! But it had a kind of Phineas and Ferb situation where the lampshading and cachphrases were repeated so often it became funny, all be it unintentionally.
Plus, it was fast and fun, and had good jokes 1 episode out of 3. Sure it's not amazing, but I think the internet's a little too harsh.
Also, some Disney Channel original movies and a few kid coms. They're low budget and play their tropes hilariously straight, but it seems so sincere in it's overly kid friendly messages it's more than a little endearing.
It's in Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography. If you haven't read that one, you should.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayBy the way, do we know if ponies have bicycles? If so, how do they use them?
