See here's how I play Pokemon: X is weak against Y. Hit it until it stops moving. Level grind and repeat. I served me well until I got bored and played something else.

Oh, and I forgot to say happy Freedoms Day to my fellow 'Muricans! tongue

Goody! It's not even dark yet and the pyromaniacs across the way from us are already shooting fireworks.

Good news- my new laptop is ready!

Bad news- I'm working tomorrow and mom and dad are out of town, so I can't pick it up until Sunday. Blah.

Worse news- just got a call from mom. We might not be able to pick it up on Sunday. Blarg.

If it makes you feel any better, I'll be internet-less all weekend(And possibly longer depending on how long it takes me to find a safe, reliable way to hook three-prong electrical appliances into 2-prong electrical outlets. And accounting for internet installation people possible deciding to cop out on me, but I'm seriously hoping against that).

I'll admit, it made Lt. Surge a bit harder than it should have.

I prefer her game incarnation.

Well that Arrow Ninja led to a rather amusing response.

Anyway, how many more people are left?

As many as want to participate.

I'm pretty sure I went after Kyler.

Remember? You were going to, but me moving on and giving up on Crowlover caused him to finally submit his chapter, so I sent that to you so you could go after him instead.

[up][up]Oh, right.

@Kegisak: I know you can buy converters for that; I had one on my old laptop. Unless electrical outlets are different in Canada.

They're the same. But I looked into it; those converters are illegal in Canada.

What I can do is, there are about three three-pronged outlets(One in the kitchen, one in the living room and one in the bedroom). I can run extension cords from those to where the appliances need to be, and apparently there are some power bars with breakers built in which makes the situation a bit safer than just loading a bunch of appliances into a single extension cord.

The bedroom is the major concern; I've lived this long without a functioning TV, but kinda need my computer.

I'm playing through one of the games of my childhood, currently working my way through the campaign. On Easy, because I suck pretty badly at RTS games, though that doesn't mean I don't enjoy them.

I remember when I was a kid, I would always, always cheat my way through the campaigns of these kind of games. Mainly because I didn't have enough patience to wait for my units to train and all that. And now, I'm finding it's a lot more rewarding to play through it properly, without using any cheat codes. Shocking, I know.

Ah, I remember that game. I played through the campaign legitimately (on Easy of course) up to one the Egyptian mission where you have to play Tug of War with the Osiris Piece Cart, which I could never beat no matter how hard I tried. Then I discovered cheat codes and cheated my way through the rest of the campaign (the Norse storyline was a bit of a blur because of this).

After beating the final mission using Arkantos like you're supposed to (he is way OP), I decided to use the Wrath Of The Gods cheat to see if I could beat the mission using only god powers. Even with infinite Tornados, Metero Storms, etc. it took forever because the Living Poseidon Statue has crazy regeneration and damage reduction plus insane amounts of health. But I managed to whittle him down eventually.

Fun fact: Even if you beat the mission without Arkantos, the ending cinematic still shows Demigod Arkantos finishing off the statue.

As far as Edge Of Tomorrow goes, I discovered there's one theater I can get to by taking the train and then walking a mile. Not sure if it's worth it.

Yeah. They can cause shorts or something I think; they're electrical fire hazards.

Hence why it's important to get a bar with a breaker. If something goes wrong, it doesn't fuck with the wall electronics, just the power bar. Safety buffer.

Bleh, I'm stuck.

A friend of mine told me of someone I used to know having a birthday tomorrow. She doesn't have many friends so he wants me to go.

But I've been depressed all this week so I wouldn't be very pleasant company, I've not seen her in seven years, and have completely different interests.

If it were me, I wouldn't go, but I am not necessarily a good example to follow in social matters.

I actually beat that level just yesterday. My "strategy", if you can call it that, basically consisted of zerg rushing them with units (mostly myth units, because they're awesome) while my self-resurrecting heroes held the line.

I also remember way back when, I would spam the "Pandora's box" cheat, especially against Titans. Box until I get Ceasefire, then strike it with as many thunderbolts as I can manage while it just stands there.

I liked playing Norse with Loki. Standard hero units randomly summoning myth units when they attack? Heck yeah!

@Dark:I probably wouldn't go either. It doesn't sound like it would be any more enjoyable for either of you. And it really is kinda last minute. Then again, I'm not very social either.

And that's an interesting coincidence, because my birthday is tomorrow as well.

[down]Thanks. I just hope no fireworks land on our roof this year.tongue
