A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

What about Puss In Boots? Anyone going to talk about that?
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qI'm not a Dreamworks guy, but I heard that was all right.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI consider Dreamworks to be that bright kid in school who has a ton of potential and could do so well if he just applied himself more.
They have stuff like Dragons and Kung Fu Panda that shows that they CAN make good, resonant stories... and then there's everything else. Say what you will about the state of modern Pixar, but their track record kind of speaks for itself.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Ed So, you're a Disney guy.
I haven't seen the movie either.
@Star Damn box office revenue.

https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qThen there's the Ten Commandments, which is full of Nightmare Fuel and What Do You Mean, It's for Kids?
The music and animation are legit good though.
@dark: The Prince of Egypt, you mean?
And that was more in the days when they still made 2D stuff. Shrek sort of turned them into the company we put up with nowadays.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI found Puss to be cute, silly and perhaps a bit deeper than expected.

Dakota's blog An odd agent of justice@marcen: In my analogy, Pixar is that one kid who gets As in every class, but he's been having some family issues, and he he's slipping a bit. But you can tell he's still a bright kid and could get back to being great again once he pulls through this rough patch.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Star Poor guys. Hope they can get out of it ok.
@King -groans loudly-
@Ed Sometimes, it's not about the money. Just do what ya want, not for the money. I hope they learn that and make better stories in the future.

Then again, The Incredibles 2, the one sequel they should have made years ago.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Ed They're FINALLY doing it. About gosh dang time.
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qAnd they have a few original ideas coming up too. And really, except for Cars, their recent output hasn't been bad necessarily, just maybe not as good as they could have been.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectEverything goes through a rough patch. Pokémon, Digimon, Simpsons, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.L. Stine...
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qsome will say frozen is considered the "gayest" disney film for obvious reasons.(I don't know those reasons)
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justicemainly near-ludicrous stretches of reasoning.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Frozen was good, but I certainly wouldn't call it one of the best Disney films.

@JT: I know. Kind of a fairy tale/vaguely middle eastern feel to them.
