A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I want to try making some cheese-stuffed burgers. Maybe add a bit of garlic and onion to the meat beforehand as well.
I've already stated that I bake here, but I got a really huge book with cookie recipes from the book store I work at.
My mom also make a really simple recipe for bacon fried tomatoes. It's really good in the summer with fresh tomatoes and corn on the cob.
And speaking of grilling: grilled cheese, on the grill.
Yeah, a chiliburger could be good. Especially if you had like some minced peppers in with the cheese inside it.
Reaction Image RepositoryDammit guys I have to wait another hour and a half before dinner :(
We're having burgers, hopefully on the grill outside. Grilled is always better.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI typically make one really big meal a week on Sunday, to last me through the week for lunches.
I enjoy cooking, it's just that it takes a while and unless I have a pretty clear schedule I wind up feeling bad about not working on something more long-term productive.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I'll repost what I said yesterday:
To be honest, I'm only like half a mod these days. I've still got the modly powers, but I haven't been keeping up with the other mods on policy for some time. So it might be better to ask in the Wiki Talk subforum if you want the official position.
As for my, not official, position, I'm sorta torn. I do agree the character pages seem kind of bloated, with plot/narrative tropes on there just because the character in question was involved. And if a trope doesn't fit actually fit the character, by all means cut that crap. And with the characters split across so many pages, it makes it hard to find the entry for specific characters. ("Common Background Ponies"? "Special Background Ponies"? "Other Background Characters"? Dammit I just want to read Cloudchaser's tropes! Why does this have to be so complicated?)
On the other hand, I'm still of the opinion that we Gotta Catch 'Em All when it comes to tropes, so I'm wary of declaring that any page ever has "too many" examples. If all the examples actually match, then there aren't too many of them.
I think it's going a bit too far to say it's an example of All There in the Manual when a pony who's never gotten a line in the show has a single sentence of description on their toy packaging. (Come to think of it, All There in the Manual shouldn't be a character trope at all.) But I'm not sure where to draw the line between "too far" and an encouraged level of troper obsessiveness.

My grandma used to toss hamburger into a baking pan, pop it in the oven, and call it meatloaf.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!
