A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

As for my, not official, position, I'm sorta torn. I do agree the character pages seem kind of bloated, with plot/narrative tropes on there just because the character in question was involved. And if a trope doesn't fit actually fit the character, by all means cut that crap. And with the characters split across so many pages, it makes it hard to find the entry for specific characters. ("Common Background Ponies"? "Special Background Ponies"? "Other Background Characters"? Dammit I just want to read Cloudchaser's tropes! Why does this have to be so complicated?)
On the other hand, I'm still of the opinion that we Gotta Catch 'Em All when it comes to tropes, so I'm wary of declaring that any page ever has "too many" examples. If all the examples actually match, then there aren't too many of them.
I think it's going a bit too far to say it's an example of All There in the Manual when a pony who's never gotten a line in the show has a single sentence of description on their toy packaging. (Come to think of it, All There in the Manual shouldn't be a character trope at all.) But I'm not sure where to draw the line between "too far" and an encouraged level of troper obsessiveness.
The con was great basically unlike the last one I went to it, this was much, much bigger seeing it was in a very huge centre so that meant more room for more stalls there. Plus there was a lot more going on and plus I managed to see some unique cosplayers along the way. The only flaw I'd say the MCM expo had was maybe line control. Because when I arrived the staff weren't even letting people through the front entrance so they had to direct everyone to the side entrance which I thought was stupid considering it was raining when I reached the place. Other that, I really enjoyed myself while I was there. I got Akira on Blu-Ray which I wanted for my collection, a bit of independent art and a game for my Gamecube.
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus PrimeKyler Thatch it looks like. I'll give Big Dog another day to respond and then send it on to Kyler.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI got the mini figure set with Queen Chrysalis yesterday and I gotta say, I love how it's called the "Royal Surprise" set.
Like: "Surprise! The bride has been replaced with a horrible, love sucking monster Queen!"

"I feel like I'm on a raft and surrounding me is an ocean of dumb."- Mr. SarkI actually do hope to get started before my classes do and I start having schoolwork to juggle.
On a related note, does Big Dog even post in this thread? I don't seem to notice them at all.

This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...@Irish's mention of the thread surviving a nuke: That made my day, man. If I could, I'd put that in the signature as is. (140 character limit prohibits it though.)
Also, a couple pics:
