A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

I seem to recall some cards listing the alicorns as unicorn and pegasus only, but then again there were a ton of racial mistakes in the early cards.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI just found out about two new alicorns in the toyline: Princess Sterling and Princess Gold Lily. Unsure at this point if they are toyline only ponies or if they will appear in the show, but if it's the latter, this could be a hint for two new season 5 characters.
I like Gold Lily because of my dog Lily who is a golden/tan color, so I might want to get Gold Lily at least even if it means getting another Pinkie duplicate (she did get multiplied in canon so having multiple Pinkies would be useful if I ever wanted to act out that episode).
Going by their names, if they do appear in the show, they might rule over a very sparkly region filled with precious metals that Rarity would love to visit.

@irish: Well, she's obviously been practising then.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectYes, there surely is.
Also, wonder how these two will do compared to Cadance when she was introduced.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/That would be the way to do it. I do like how they're related to precious metals. One of them could be related to ol' Princess Platinum.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayHuh, all these extra princesses.
The Princess of Poseable Wings, the Princess of Brushie Brushie Hair and the Princess of Filling Out the Princess Quota all approve.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!Sterling and Gold Lily are two old alicorn friends that together invented smithing.
Sterling's the tough and responsible one that made metals strong, but like impurities is more fragile than she lets on deep down.
Lilly is sweet and energetic, but has a sensitive heart and distresses easily. She made metal flexible and able to melt, and invented jewelery, showing that metals can be beautiful as well as strong.
Legend has it they rome the wilds of Equestria and lands beyond, exploring the wonders of the world.
Well casters usually seek to become as small as possible anyway, since they don't need strength or reach at all.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayA baby pony doll that is apparently the daughter of Cadance and Shining, to some people.

I'm trying to think if there have been any notable toy ponies that haven't shown up in the show. Like, full-on alicorn type thing, not just blindbag ponies...
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Every time I watch the beginning of the season finale, it sounds like Spike is asking "Hey, you got your memory back?" instead of "Hey, you guys remember that?".

No matter the generation, ponies have one thing in common. Spontaneous song and dance numbers that get lodged in your brain.
