A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I'm there on a daily basis. Sure, I've seen some shit, but I've also seen some amazing art.
The fetishes don't phase me unless they're actually disgusting. And by disgusting I mean excretions.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/-slinks in- Just checking in with everyone who's still awake here, and well... the gut's not been too good... though looking way back, I'm very tempted to try to find a way to sing Lightning Dust's song. I actually find it cute and with a bit of a soothing rhythm...
@Images I don't seek: I actually don't mind too much, but there are indeed a few things I do not seek. (I won't disclose what I seek, as it'd likely be too small of a list, and would fall under a bit of a common theme of common sense.)
I never even bother to visit the spoiler thread or the Yack Fest thread. It's easier to just keep up with one thread.
Also just finished watching up to episode 6 on Attack On Titan. Holy crap, I was not expecting that. Talk about a Wham Episode.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI can't even immagine.
For the first five episodes, I thought I knew roughly how the story would go, but now I've got nothing.
Still not quite Madoka tier though.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThat awkward moment when the rest of the "Sisterhooves Social" competitors realize they're screwed.

You know what I'm noticing more and more lately?
Windows 7 is slow. It takes several minutes to shut down the computer unless you do it by force. Every single time I log on it takes minutes to do that, too. The fact that Steam keeps automatically checking for updates probably isn't helping.
It's not like I have a ton of stuff on it- I have roughly 85 GB of data filled on that portion of my hard drive.
So why is it so slow?
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/No idea. But I almost never restart my computer anyway. I haven't tried timing it, but I doubt it takes minutes unless it has updates to install.
Have you checked to see if there are programs running on shutdown that are taking a lot of time?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayD'awww I just had an image of filly Pinkie taking Maud to the Social, excitedly dragging her along. Maud doesn't want to go, prefering to polish her favorite rocks from her collection. But Pinkie is so excited she goes and they have a pretty good time. Maud even finds a new rock during the race to take home.

Story- no, I haven't. I know I have 4 programs that run from startup automatically- Rainmeter, Rocket Dock, Launchy and Steam. Honestly they might be the problem. I'll see if I can fix it by editing my steam and Launchy settings tomorrow.
Edit- and my antivirus, and google drive. I think I'll get rid of that last one.

http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/@Ike: have you tried putting your computer into "Hibernate"? in a sense it shuts off your computer without shutting it off. it saves your session so you can jump right back in when you turn it back on.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Yeah, I don't have any of those. Well I have Steam installed, but I only start it up when I want to play a game. No sense in running it automatically, as you've seen.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI just restarted my computer to see. It took 27 seconds to close the programs I had running and 31 seconds for the shutdown proper. Starting up, it took a minute and 23 seconds to get to the login screen and another 6 seconds after logging in.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayWindows 7 always works snappily for me.
No one liked Windows Vista, but everyone agreed that 7 was a remarkable improvement.
And now not many people really like 8 all that much. Wait for odd-numbered releases I guess.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@ Ed: Microsoft has never subscribed to the "If it ain't broke..." school of thought.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!I have heard it said that Windows O Ses consistently alternate between good and shit. The pattern does seem to hold up.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.

@Syd: I'd probably check it out, at least. How often depends on how active it is. Although I will say that I think the centralization of this thread helps; we just have a dedicated discussion rather than new threads for every episode or movie or whatever.
Anyway, I have to get to bed now. I have work tomorrow.
