A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Star Ah. It all makes sense now.
Great, now Twitch had made the whole game so much easier for the players.

https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qWhat? How is it easy?
TPP Emerald has been stuck at the Elite Four for over five days so far in case you hadn't noticed.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Story Oh. Well. I heard that people said that PLAYING it was much easier than before.
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615q@Story Mean either. (looks at fireplace) Mean either..
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qNot much. In TPP, Annie just swept Sidney and Glacia. It's so nice to see all the formely weak pokemon growing up. I think TPP actually has a chance of winning soon.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThere are other changes. For example, hourly democracy was a huge shift in Crystal. Emerald started out pure-anarchy but democracy was added back before the Sootopolis Gym.
The culture is also different. People use democracy more readily now, such as for tricky stuff like optimizing movesets and evolving pokemon rather than just plot necessary puzzles like it was originally intended for. But then again the games are a lot harder now, so it's pretty much necessary.
The biggest difference is probably changes to the UI. It's amazing how much of an impact small changes to the UI have when you're playing Twitch-style.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI personally think the first one was the best, though it's probably partially due to the novelty and the nostalgia of the game. Crystal was okay, but I think it was hampered being too easy; the levels are so low that it was easy to steamroll everyone. Emerald was better, but honestly the fact that the game itself is more balanced worked against stream, because it lacked some of the gameplay-based absurdities of "Red", like how Bird Jesus sucked at fighting Ghosts or how Digrat kept screwing things up.
Reaction Image RepositoryActually, that's still a problem. Several of our pokemon are useless or near useless against Pheobe's ghosts. Luckily the rest of the team can handle them.
Crystal accidently flew back to New Bark Town several times and used the Indigo Plateau Abra twice.
The thing is that the novelty factor and the huge crowds are gone but they're still entertaining in their own way.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThat was mostly because they managed to keep their powerful starter, and the way pokemon works, fighting mostly with one pokemon just makes it level more, snowballing things and making the rest of the team even more underleveled. Emerald had something similar with M4, though M4 was a lot weaker than Lazorgator was.
But in both cases, they stalled when they reached the Elite Four and were forced to train up the weaker members of their team. So it evened out.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayStar: Tell her that apple slices are totally sold at Mc D's.
@Kuroi Hey I could use something like that, just to troll her I guess. If she goes on about wanting to eat something healthy when my mum asks her what she wants for lunch or dinner what have you, I'll mention that to her just to see her reaction the next time I talk to her that is.

"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus PrimeFast food places nowadays make a point of having some healthy items on the menu, but I doubt many people actually get them. They're just to show that they're being healthy.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Star: No clue to be honest... My hunch is that the homeowner is suffering medically... but seeing a police vehicle kinda... casts that theory aside for a possibly worse scenario... I'm not buying my own worse scenario, as I think that a police vehicle would always escort a medical vehicle, lest I'm mistaken.

@Marcen For the record the reason I used Mc Donalds for the toilet was because it was nearest.
