A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Given what Luna's doing in that picture, she probably doesn't have to worry too much.
@ Storyyeller:
Because that means your character is going off alone and the other players aren't doing anything. If you do that too much, the rest of the group gets bored.

My group tends to discuss strategies and ready themselves in various ways while I scout, at least when we know something is weird. Like in my last session we came across a giant keep in the middle of an alternate dimension filled with skeletons(Which suck, undead are immune to sneak attacks so I was even more useless than normal in combat). While I scouted around looking for a door or any enemies on the outside our cleric searched for magic inside and the player's discussed what might be inside and how to get there, went over supplies they could use, etc. I didn't find any doors, so they were able to use the discussion to figure out what to do next.
Why does that make them immune to being surprised? Being immune to critical hits would be more logical, since that often means you get lucky and hit a weak spot.

http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/Well, I think saucy is just about the limit here, as long as you indicate first.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectImmune to crits or sneak attacks seems rather silly as a broad attribute for all undead. I could see it being applicable to certain types (likes ghosts), but I find it ludicrous to claim that for zombies. They may not have vital organs, but surely there's other weakpoints in a shambling corpse. I'd say a crit or sneak attack damage penalty in early encounters would be more reasonable (which I'd cut entirely after the party has a few "kills" under their belt).

Sneak Attacks have additional damage because the attacker hits something vital. Since they have time to prepare.
As for my group... nyeh? Yes and no. Some of us prefer to plan ahead, some of us like to jump in. Which results in us all getting pulled along into it.
I personally like the roleplaying aspects more than the combat, which I'm kind of unique in. The only other guy who likes roleplaying plays a serial rapist literally every time, which is... annoying. And the GM seems to find it funny to give me the worst results of rolls as soon as they're even vaguely bad. Like missing a wide open doorway on a perception roll of 15.
Er... but I don't mean to whine. They're fun most of the time, there are just some tiring things.

Hey guys. Remember when Ace Of Scarabs mentioned a game called Mogeko Castle a while ago in the thread? I ended up giving it a shot.
It starts with a standard girl is lost in the woods and finds a mysterious castle opening that a lot of horror games like this seem to have (though this game had her be chased by weird cat things that had seemingly rapey dialogue), but it actually gave me the option to not enter the castle of blatant evil and suffering.
...
Turns out the weird cat things in the woods were being quite honest with the rapey dialogue.
...
The next time, I just entered the castle.
...
I'm still not sure if that was the worst ending I found.

@Cookoo: WELP. The disconcerting thing is that the 'stock' girl-screams are more effective than I expected, moge. Also there are some gross-out endings (Meat Party) and one really dark one ("Toy").

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!
Yeah, the "Toy" ending was probably the worst of the lot. I actually missed it the first time around, but when I got the normal end I looked online to find the good ending, and found out how to get that one. Between my completionism and my morbid curiosity, I went and saw what it was like. I'm not sure if it was worth it. Thankfully, most of the other endings were either too weird to be that scary, or not actually bad. It's just a shame that the good ending, well, wasn't.
Anyway, on to something much nicer, According to this
, General Firefly was less a reference to the G1 pony, and more of a reference to Fyre_flye, Lauren Faust's online user name.
