A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

All of the usual forum rules apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Pinkie's rap performed the valiant public service of reminding us that the Nineties were terrible.

Every now and then, we need a little reminder of why we left some decades behind.

Cheesier than a triple stack of grilled nachos, but I wouldn't call it bad.

It produced some of my favorite cartoons. And it had an atitude all it's own.

The Nineties were that bizarre transitional stage between the uncertainess of the Eighties and the more uncertainess of the Noughties and Teenies.

I've posted before about how much of my favorite music came out in the 90s, or was by musicians who got their start in the 90s.

Oh, there were certainly good things about the nineties. But we still need that occasional shot of what we choose not to remember, lest we start looking through rose-colored goggles.

Well, yeah, but saying the whole decade sucks because of that crappy rap video is like discarding the entire 70's because of Disco.

[up][up] This, pretty much.

I mean, The Big Lebowski came out of the Nineties so the decade wasn't all bad. tongue

Someone should do a 90's gangsta rap about The Gay '90s.

Oscar Wilde and Arthur Conan Doyle could have a rap off.

I grew up in the nineties. They can't be that bad.

I was born in 1984, so I was too young to remember much about that decade.

The nineties was an interesting time indeed. (1991 individual here... and yes, you can shout palindrome.)

Being born in the nineties is a bad sign. It means the infection had the opportunity to take root from the moment of birth.

I was born in 92, and don't really remember much before I was 8, so most of the nineties is lost on me.

I don't really have nostalgia for anything from my Childhood in general, though. At least nothing specific to one decade.

94'er, currently enjoying the decade we're living in now. The Teenies have been pretty cool so far, all things considered.

I was born in '91, so I don't remember stuff from the first half.

The earliest major event I can remember is the 1996 olympics, and that only vaguely. The earliest earliest event I still have definite memories of was Halloween, probably 1995.

@Wryte OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I was born in '91 also. The 90s had some stupid moments, but the past decade had a LOT of horrifying stupid moments.
