A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Lemster: Given how popular the show is, I'm assuming some of them must have been locked at some point. The main page was locked as a troll target a while back, but it doesn't really matter because all the of the content is on the subpages anyway.
Also, now that we know that Twilight can teleport objects without teleporting herself, any realistic battle would be trivially easy: teleport a bomb into the enemy base.
Reaction Image Repository@Star Cool. Gotta play some more Ride To Hell and Sonic Gen. But, right now, I'm watching Rap Critic.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Star No, it's someone else doing videos about rap videos.
Or was that a joke? lol.
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qActually direct damage is what Wizards are worst at. Unless you're talking about a 3.5 Mailman or something, but even then Sorcerors are better.
It sounds like the problem is more that everyone else is low op. Plus you got crippled by the DM's stupid houserules if I remember correctly.

Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayIn D&D, Wizard is a specific class. Other classes include Sorceror, Warlock, Warmage. There is no class that is simply called Mage though.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayOh there's also a Witch class.
Wizard and Sorceror are the most notable though since they're core (and the most powerful at tier 1 and 2 respesectively)
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayWhat's the difference between Wizards, Sorcerers, Mages and Witches in D&D specifically?
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/I can only speak for Pathfinder(Which is based on Dn D 3.5 anyways) but it's largely to do with what kind of spells they cast and how.
Wizards for example get a large pool of spells, but they have to pick which spells they use at the beginning of the day, how many times they'll use it, etc., up to a limit of spells per day per level.
Sorcerers on the other hand have a much smaller list of spells to choose from, but they can cast them without preparation until they reach their limit of spells per day per level. So if a wizard only prepares two "Scorching Ray", and he uses them both, he's out. But a sorcerer can just keep on casting until he reaches his limit of spells per day.
Witches are similar to sorceror's in Pathfinder, except they have a list of specialized spells called Hexes. They get a certain amount of hexes per day in addition to their normal spells per day.
There are also Oracles, who get revelations, which are special abilities they can use a certain amount of times per day, or at all times depending on the ability. For example, I have an multiclassed Oracle who has an ability called "Water eyes" that allows him to see through fog and mist, and it's always on. If I were to take more levels in oracle I'd have to pick more revelations from the same list(Called a mystery), such as Blizzard, which allows me to create a zone where anything in it takes cold damage for a dew rounds per day. I get these abilities in addition to having a list of normal spells that functions like the sorcerer's.
There's also divine spellcasters, which operate mostly the same on a mechanical level but have a different list of spells and different 'fluff' - divine spellcasters have to pray in the morning to get their spells whereas arcane spellcasters(wizards et al) have to 'prepare' them.
So, it mostly all comes down to how many spells you know and how easy it is to use them.

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.@Star Yes. Yes. It would. You watch his website? Or any other web video, BTW?
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615q@Marcen Like I said I used to watch The Nostalgia Critic videos but then they went downhill and I stopped watching them. Other that I don't think I watched much of Doug's other stuff besides The Bum Reviews and a little bit of Video Game Confessions. Recently I've pretty much started watching his vlogs for Adventure Time which I regularly watch after I have seen an episode of the latter just to see what he thinks of the episode.
"Transform and Roll out!" Optimus Prime

@Star Oh. Well, I thought the episode was decent. The way that Rainbow Dash knew her stuff was, a bit questionable, because I thought it would be a bit more subtle but I thought it was solid.
So, what up?
