A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Firefly as a Lady of War in a badass uniform would look cool. Medley as a medic, Applejack as a sniper for the lols given her bad aim and sillyness, and Twilight as a stealth expert given her telleporting.
Has Twi ever teleported as much as she did in this episode? Closest I can think of is Applebuck Season.
This episode was like, "I know a teleportation spell, and I'm gonna USE it!"
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!I don't think we share the same definition of good.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayHow could the stealth expert by anything but Pinkie?
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayI dunno, Fluttershy could do stealth too. The guards wouldn't even notice her.
Reaction Image RepositoryThe teleporting isn't that great for stealth. there's a big flash and a fairly noticeable noise, so unless she's popping away it could easily draw somepony's attention. And even if she is they'd still know something was up. Plus there's the danger of her popping right into an enemies line of sight because she didn't know they were there.
It would, however, make for a good shock trooper tactic. Just pop in a team of soldiers and take the enemy unawares. But overall I think Twilight would be better suited to logistics or heavy artillery thanks to her brains and magic.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.@ discussion of the mane six's combat roles- I peg Rarity as a sniper too. Yes, she can fight, by she will avoid being on the front lines if possible. Meanwhile, Twilight uses her magic to act as a tank, steamrolling enemy forces while using force fields to avoid damage. Rainbow Dash is a scout, not because she wants to be, but because of her speed and ability to analyze her surroundings in flight. She's too good a scout to not be one. Fluttershy is a medic because I can't see her in a combat role, even when angry. Pinkie is too chaotic and energetic to work as a stealth expert, and Applejack is too straightforward, so they're probably both frontline fighters.
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/Twilight wins all the fights singlehandedly because she's a wizard.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's Play@Star It...was (gasping for breath) the Pinkie Pie rap. I rolled on the floor laughing! I'm like... "Where the Hell did this come from?"
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615q@Star No, she was referencing Run DMC. And I got the joke. That's why I laughed so hard! I watched this episode this morning and I laughed so hard, I thought I was going to wake everybody in the house up.
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615q@Story: I'm beginning to see your point about how OP wizards are. The wizard in my campaign dealt 35 damage over two turns in our last session. At level 3. Turned a boss monster into dust before we even had a chance to register whether it was tough or not. Meanwhile I can still barely hit anything. Getting closer though*.
More on-subject though, I can see Pinkie being a kind of disruptive force. Channeling her manic nature into a combat scenario probably translates to "As big a boom as possible". I could see her infiltrating to sabotage.

I think it looks pretty awesome.

Still haven't seen any humanized "Sgt. Rarity" art, though. This fandom is slipping.
