A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Windows 7 is pretty good. It's a shame Microsoft never made another one.

I was running XP. I wouldn't have bothered upgrading, either, if Microsoft hadn't stopped supporting it this month.
It's technically not a new PC, either. It's a spare one my dad had that he wasn't really using, but it already had Win7 installed and most of the hardware was better than my machine's (save for the video card, which was a pain in the ass to switch over because the faceplate is too wide for this box).
I wish I could just switch to Linux, but Linux desktops aren't very user friendly.
Some idiot decided to remove the delete file shortcut in Gnome 3 becuase he kept accidently (temporarily) deleting files. There are no words to describe the fail.

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!Okay, now I get the upgrade to windows 7. Thanks.
And yeah, windows 8 sucks, but I thought you somehow got a new computer with windows 7.
I agree that Linux setups need some work. Windows 7 seems better for tweaking things, has better programs (Docky can't easily let you change program icons, Rocket Dock can, for starters), hooking up to wifi in Linux is a pain for unexained reasons...
http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/Win8 rubbish? I call nonsense, I just refurbished a secondhand laptop with a solid-state drive and 8.1 and it is awesome. Boots in a flash, and the Desktop is amazingly Zen in its design. Plus I just tore apart and rearranged the Start Screen to my liking and it's like going back to Program Manager all over again :DDD
@Kuroi: Well it's still no joke when the Spotpass team is fully loaded up on uber skills :V

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!I think on the whole they're pretty good. There are a few that are iffy, but most of them are good.
Reaction Image Repository@Dark: It depends. There are definitely a lot more shout-outs and fandom nods, but a lot of them still stick pretty close to the feel of the show in the main events that are going on.

I haven't seen either, so I can't be much help.
You could decide which you're in the mood for when you get to the theater, or flip a coin. If it lands on its edge, you see both.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!
