A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Technically, Discord isn't a pony.

Horse-dragon-chimera thing, my point still stands.
In other news, someone actually made the Flim Flam tonic
. They say it's tasty, but I'll take their word for it.

"I feel like I'm on a raft and surrounding me is an ocean of dumb."- Mr. SarkI think little moments like Twilight's assault on those hay burgers shows that she's still got an adorably awkward streak to her, she just hasn't been given enough to do lately. I'm glad they don't feel the need to have her at the center of every episode like in season one, but I would like a bit more focus on her. Especially since the whole princess thing hasn't really gotten any development at all.
Why would they ruin a perfectly good fruit with the atrocity that is beets?

So, I just got a chance to see the new episode.
I really liked it! Flim and Flam were great, as was AJ. It was nice to finally see her in a conflict that wasn't some variety of her going control freak.
It's kind of a shame that Silver shill didn't have quite the lasting power the other Key Support characters did, but you can't win 'em all, I guess.
But yeah, overall a really great episode. Seriously, I loved Flim and Flam here. And this season has been great to Big Mac in general, which is always nice.

Hmm... may have to go a bit out of my way to find a Mc Donald's that does Happy Meals... might swing by the one near the theatre I go to if I feel up to seeing Captain America...

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. Now we have to collect w/ little kids looking at us in confusion, again?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI have the added trouble of living in a largely french community while speaking very poor french. So I'll have to explain to them that no, I didn't make a mistake, I really did ask for the toy.
Which will be fun in and of itself because in french, the word for Toy is the same as the word for Game and Play. Which makes sense, but... hopefully the context is clear enough.

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. You do have the buy them - at least in Canada; there are laws against giving away free toys with meals(Since it encourages children to buy said meals. It's part of an anti-child obesity measure or something), but they're like, a buck and a half. Nothing serious.
You don't actually have to get them with the happy meal(Again, at least in Canada). I think you might have to buy them with food? But you can get them with one of the larger adult meals.
Depends on your level of giveafuck, I guess. I know my roommate bought like, a dozen happy meals at once and claimed that his daughter was having a party(He's thirty, so it is kinda believable).

They do in America too, IIRC. Though I think it's more awkward to ask for just the toy rather than buying the meal.
I'm a little sad these don't have the little comb/ keychains like the last wave did. They were a pretty good way to not loose my tiny, tiny flash drive.
"I feel like I'm on a raft and surrounding me is an ocean of dumb."- Mr. SarkI think i'll go with the "My little cousin is asked for this" approach, since in my neighborhood, that's pretty belivable. Unless someone I know is there to rat me out as a liar and burn me for my love.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceWait, she was a fourth cousin twice removed, right? Does that mean Count Olaf is her father?

@Gwen: Admittedly I don't like Discord so I'm not without my fair share of biases when I make those statements.
