A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! So AJ gets her key in the most strangest way: By admiting she lied and get rewarded? Also, I don't get it: Is it so wrong to believe in something if at least it's doin' the job well?
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceThat wasn't too bad. Would've preferred it if Flim and Flam had been run out of town on a rail instead of getting away with it, but other than that I think it worked pretty well.
I was a little skeptical of AJ's initial decision to hide the truth, but I think in the end it made sense because she's so family oriented. Wanting her family to be happy is one of the few things that I think she'd be willing to even consider bending the truth over.
Also, Lyra apparently judges swimming competitions.
Well, if you've been lying in a way that could potentially hurt others (i.e. by making them believe they're healthier than they are, or by taking money from them that they need for other stuff), coming clean about it is the best course of action. Obviously, it's better to not have lied at all, but if you do, there's no point in sticking to it.
And the thing is, the potion didn't do squat. Granny was capable of swimming the whole time, the tonic just hit her with enough of a placebo that she was willing to try again. The only effect it had was purely psychological.

Reaction Image Repositorynice episode.
so how many keys does that make now?
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.@King: Up to a point. It's one thing to claim that drinking something can make you an awesome marksman. It's another to directly enter a competition and quite likely kill someone because of it.

Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987It's true that it gave Granny Smith confidence, but it's less good if that confidence is placed in something that's not trustworthy and may probably get someone killed.
