A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Internet comment sections have a tendency towards the stupid, but I think I just found a new low in Completely Missing The Point.
^ Guess we're having a music fest again?
I was really disapointed with the game. I tried hard to like it but couldn't. I think it suffers from trying to do too many things and not doing any of them well.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayMan, I loved Brutal Legends. Or as I like to call it, Jack Black's Mental Image of Jack Black starring Jack Black as Jack Black.
Though I will admit it was a bit overzealous, I did find myself liking all the individual mechanics. I think a lot of trouble I had with it was that the pacing was basically shot to hell after the Lionwyte arc. I think if they'de taken more time in the rest of the game to develop things well the various mechanics would have had time to sink in, and it'd have been easier for them to meld together well. The Teamwork system in the RTS battles was a great idea, but it wasn't developed enough for me to ever learn how to use it that well.
This was my favourite song:

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Ozzy Osbourne was one of the few good parts of the game (as the Car Upgrade Guy, not the music).
Maybe part of the problem was that I was playing it on the laptop. Some of the clunky mechanics probably resulted from not being designed for playing via trackpad. (Heck, it's literally impossible to get past the beginning of the game without remapping the controls and they don't even tell you this!!!) But there were a lot of other issues I noticed that seemed unrelated. Camera Screw, Guide Dang It!, controls horribly unsuited to the RTS genre and so on. Even Achron had better RTS control and it deliberately discourages micromanagement and tactics.
Edit: Maybe it'd be better if I just quoted my review
