A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectYou fools! Clearly Shimmie
is the greatest pairing.
Sounds like a legendary trio.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayThere's actually a legit Dark/Psychic in Pokemon these days.
Malamar.
Aside from having a pretty strong type effectiveness, half its moveset is based on generally being a dick. For example, it has a unique move that switches stat effects - so a boost becomes a drop, for example. It naturally learns swagger(confuses the enemy while raising the enemies attack by two stages) and Foul Play(damage is calculated based on the enemy's attack stat). Plus several shielding moves.
So at it's leisure it can either give an opponent a huge debuff or give itself a chance to deal huge damage. Though Swagger is always an inherently risky move if you choose not to turn it into a debuff.
It has an absurd evolution trigger, though. An Inkay(it's previous form) leveling up to Lvl 37 or higher, while the DS is upside down.

Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. Also, Malamar can have the Contrary ability, which inverts any stat changes attempted on it, good or bad.
Malamar can also learn Superpower, a high-power Fighting move that has the downside of lowering Attack and Defense upon use.
I think you can see where this is going.
I have a message from another time...There's so many pokemon that they've probably covered every possible pairing by now. Except possibly the Fairy ones since that's so new.
Blind Final Fantasy 6 Let's PlayHawlucha kicked me around every time any kind of trainer had him.
Which is I suppose what I get when my pokemon to deal with flying types is Ice/Rock. Not so good against fighting types...
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. It's a Flying/Fighting type with the only dual-typed move in the game.
Also, it's a luchadore parrot.
@Story: They definitely haven't. In fact, I think that "flying" is the only type that's been paired with every other type. Personally, I'd like to see a Fire/grass, grass/water, and water/fire trio (yes I know there are grass/water types already). And a fire/ice type would be cool too.

Reaction Image Repository@Mike: We're best not-pony pairing.
But, back on the pony-pairing topic, I believe I have made my choice in OTP
clear once before.
wait, if there's a water/grass type, what is it weak to? I haven't played Pokemon in forever.
