A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@dark: she bolted through the obstacle course faster than RD and jackhammered a 10-foot boulder in half with her front hooves.
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.FUUUUU
I forgot about Daylight Savings! I missed it!
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Dark: She also launched a large rock about twice as far as RD managed to, and then the rock exploded.
Reaction Image RepositoryMan, Maud is pretty awesome. It's actually pretty nice to see a more introverted character around on a kids show.
And she makes basically the best straight mare to Pinkie ever. I really hope we get to see some more of her.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I guess I'll have to catch the Brony TV restream.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@ Ed: I thought Daylight Savings Time was just an annoying U.S. thing.
I put my friend in a coconut! He lives in my hat! Hey, come hang out!@Ace: Well, thanks, Mr. obvious.
Issue is, that means everything airs an hour earlier here, even though our time doesn't change.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project@Syd: I think what he means is that DST ended up changing the time the show aired, so it messed up the time for him.
Reaction Image RepositoryGood thing I came back from my late evening stroll just in time to catch the episode :D

The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!Makes me sedimental
You could make a big rock candy mountain
.
On another note, I wonder how long it'll be before people start making Boulder/The Boulder jokes.
Also, I wonder if they might have warmed up to each other better if they decided to take Maud hiking. You know, let her be in her element, let her flex her expertise. Well, unless all Maud ends up saying is, "That's a rock. And that's another rock. And that's a big rock."
i liked her a lot. Her Literal-Minded responses were great, and reminds me a little of myself, actually. And I like she's not a deadpan snarker, she's genuinely doing her best, she's just different about expressing herself.
@hiking. That would be great.

I have a message from another time...Yeah, I really liked this one. Normally I'm not big on Cringe Comedy, but I think this worked because it was everyone was so sincere about where they were coming from. It helps that Maud is like the perfect Straight Man with her deadpan approach to everything.
The other thing is that she's basically the perfect counterpoint to Pinkie. Not just because of the stoicism, but because for both of them other ponies have difficulty understanding their train of thought because their reactions to things are outside the realm of what most ponies would consider "normal". They're just at opposite ends of the spectrum. Pinkie is extremely overenthusiastic, Maud isn't enthusiastic at all, and in both cases it makes it difficult for the audience to know exactly what they're thinking.
