A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.

All of the usual forum rules apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

I don't know WHAT the Hell happened (I blame shenanigans) but we're going to start from scratch. Post your feels for this awesome show again! Naow!

What if the soul was put into the vulture?

I'm... not entirely sure. That sounds like straight-up mad science right there. Well, at least compared to raising zombies.

If I had to guess... perhaps the poor guy that soul belonged to would wake up in a rotting vulture's body.

Ya also gotta remember, if you have your own business, you're still bound to the responsibility of your customers. No customers, no business. Gotta push life in ways you won't believe to squeeze out that mighty potential.

Intelligence isn't required. What part of any coporeal creature do you not understand?

[up]Well what I mean is, anything can be a living corpse. It's just that how said living corpse acts is the difference between a zombie and a thrall.

I think we're using different conceptions of zombies.

Quite possibly. I'm just going by what little knowledge of voodoo I have to say why you can't use voodoo to raise a non-human zombie. When you start throwing in all the other kinds of undead and the various ways they can be made, there's bound to be some confusion.

Is it possible to have a functioning zombie without the skeleton?

Because then you could have a zombie, a skeleton, and a ghost, all from just one dead guy!

[up]If you want to argue semantics, you have the skeleton, the ghost (aka, the soul) and the zombie (aka, the flesh) when you're alive, too.

But then you wouldn't have undead, now would you?

[up]Well, you're not dead, are you?

OOC: I'm having too much fun with this, in case you couldn't tell.

So ... I really need to get better at getting my students to like me.

My team leader has warned my that my low scores (based on what the students grade the teachers) are placing my job in jeopardy.

It's like quality control for teachers. I had that in college, we had to fill out this form at the end of the semester for each subject, where we pretty much rated the teacher on various criteria. I thought it was a drag at the time, but now I appreciate it better.

Heh. We don't have that. Coincidentally, our system is absolute bat poop.

Yeah. The students can give the teacher a score out of 5. They can also give comments, but those don't affect anything. Though I naturally get annoyed when someone gives me a glowing comment and a grade of 4. As every time that happens, my grade drops.

It might just be people like me who rarely give a perfect 5 out of 5 outside of "above and beyond the call of duty" performance.

But a lot of things are above and beyond call of duty. #shotsfired

Post of the Day #678

I just remembered something else. This episode answers a long standing question - pony typewritters apparently have only 2 keys. It must be like those special steganography typewritters except even more extreme.

Yeah, that might just because they're using the scale of 5=Perfect 4=Very Good, etc. I remember doing stuff like that in college, though it was slightly more in-depth than "rate this teacher on a scale of 1-5.

The same way the rest of us do? By clicking the "Add Post" button?

Hey speak for yourself there.

It might just be people like me who rarely give a perfect 5 out of 5 outside of "above and beyond the call of duty" performance.

See I always assumed 3/5 was supposed to be average on evaluations. Why even have the 5 point scale otherwise?

Also hey, I Think that POTD is one of mine.

Apparently I missed Twitch's victory over the Elite Four again. I just watched the video and apparently they won with Gator at 6hp and paralyzed. Talk about a clutch victory.
