A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Dark: It's fries and cheese curds covered in gravy.
It's basically a modern extension of the historical french approach to food - that is, "We 'ave no fewd and much 'ungar! What do we do? Letz just take whatever we can fahnd and throw it in ze pot!"
It got started as this weird thrown-together thing in Montreal, and started catching on in the rest of Canada. It's still mostly only popular in the east. Mc Donald's in Manitoba have just started serving it, which is a sign of it's mainstream-ness.
Even though Mc Donalds Poutine is basically terrible.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I know my cousin from New York is going to come to my house and tastes poutine. He'll taste it, pause for a few seconds....pack his stuff and drive back to New York...never to come back again.
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qI have prepared a nice selection of old ladies just for this occasion.
Ugh, I'm hungry and all I have for lunch is a Hot Pocket.

Reaction Image RepositoryNever heard of poutine before now. I've never eaten curds before, but I like cheese. Should be worth a try.
Also, I think the idea of starring a lessor known toyline only pony for our next project could be great. It'd be almost like Twitch Plays Pokemon as no one would even understand the mane character.
I can't wait until Jan 1 2015 when I can eat Mc Donalds again. And when that happens, I'll have 2 Angus Burgers and 2 sets of Large Fries. Then, I'd go to another store and get 2 2L bottles of Root Beer, 2 hugs bags of Ruffles chips...and a pack of Bubblelicious Gum.
And some toothpicks.
So, around Jan 2 2015, I'll be in the hospital with all of my organs horribly clogged. Right now, I'm only eating bread and dinner.
BTW, did those glass tables come in, yet? I need to replace the one that a certain SOMEONE (I'm looking at you, Lumin) broke.

Canadian food is kind overrated. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go to work
(takes out a huge container of maple syrup and chugs it down)
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qCanada actually has very little unique food. Immigrant nation, and all that. My neighborhood, for example, has only a single Canada-unique restaurant(St. Hubert, a Quebec-exclusive chicken chain) compared to an Italian restaurant, two sushi restaurants, somewhere in the range of a half-dozen chinese restaurants, two noodle shops... that general sort of thing.

If I have poutine at all, it has to be in very small portions, though I guess that's probably mostly because too much gravy gets to me and makes me feel disgusting. In all honesty, I don't like it enough to seek it out over regular fries.

Guys, I will be honest. I don't care much for poutine. I just find it...kind of unnecessary. I heard about it in high school because people keep using it with their fries. I tasted it in and I'm like "Eh." Nothing to write home about. I'd prefer ketchup. I just don't see the huge deal.
