A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

@Lumin Sometimes, I wish I did too. But, in the end, I realize that I'm weird enough, alcohol will make me so much crazier.
https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qTo be fair, the taste of alcohol depends on what you're drinking. A lot of stuff is basically just liquid suck(I have a bottle of vodka that's not going anywhere because it tastes basically like flouride), but some specific drinks can be tasty. I have another bottle of stuff that tastes like black liquorice, and wine can often be nice.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.I don't get it. Everyone I know says that alcohol tastes terrible. Why drink it? I find I it overrated...I keep using that dang ass word. And, as for Internet booze...be careful, man. I still remember the Valentine's Day incident.

https://youtu.be/_1F5HhUvFbM?si=csgwerqELcG6615qPeople drink it for a few reasons.
1- it's addictive, so it's hard to stop.
2- for centuries, alcohol was actually cleaner/safer than plain water because they didn't have a good way to purify the latter. Same goes for tea, actually.
3- mixed drinks don't always taste like piss.
4- alcohol companies spend millions on advertising every year.

http://h0useb0und.tumblr.com/@M Arcen: Well, it doesn't taste terrible to everyone. Or in every situation. Most beers ordinarily have a taste that makes my face feel like it's going to collapse, but with a proper meal the tastes actually compliment one another fairly well.
Though I'll admit, the primary reason behind alcohol for most people, I think, is 'everyone else is doing it'.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Lumin...please don't be like me on Valentine's Day. PLEASE.
@Keg I don't give in to peer pressure...

All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.Whoa nellie... as long as he doesn't find the cider...
-looks at Crimson- I see the reference you made... to a certain Nintendo 64 game no less.
@Keg I don't give in to peer pressure...
There's a pretty big difference between Peer Pressure and When in Rome. There's certainly nothing wrong with not being enthralled by the idea of alcohol, but I'm not exactly pleased by the implication that there is something wrong with it - and that's speaking as a non-drinker mind you.
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes.Alright guys. The glass tables will be here in a couple of minutes. Make sure, Lumin is ok. I have to go in a couple of minutes to get Ride To Hell.
