A thread to discuss My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic and the tie-in media.
All of the usual forum rules
apply. In addition, please remember that the thread is discussing a kids' show, and it's primarily focused on the work itself, not the fanfic — in particular, we don't want to see lewdness creeping in.

Okay, I'm back. Without spoiling the plot, what's the general consensus on the quality of the episode.
Reaction Image RepositoryI found it to be quite decent. It depends on how OK you are with AJ being mildly overbearing.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI thought it was fairly good, but there was a kind of division in tone, which was odd.
I'm gonna give it a 'good, not great, probably could have been better'?
Birthright: an original web novel about Dragons, the Burdens of Leadership, and Mangoes. Also, Ricotta is a decent way to deal with goat heads.

Opinions, dude. I found it perfectly acceptable. Now take a drink of water sweetie, don't want you to get parched in the frowny corner.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectLum, you're not the only one who found that utterly painful for the most part.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987The pain I felt was the "been there, done that" kind.
At least it wasn't as bad as the time I was reading Watamote.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! As far as trooping the episode, would Applejacks's list of stuff to take on the trip be an example of Chekhov's Armory? They all seem like random details but later turn out to be important—I'm just not sure if there's enough time in between for it to count for the trope.
Is it me or have Apple Bloom and Applejack been getting.... a LOT more screentime this season than other ponies? Not to say that's a bad thing, and goodness knows Applejack needs something that will dig her out of the resident "blandest pony" out of the Mane 6, but I don't think we'll have another Applejack episode for the rest of the season.

I always forget how Equestria is full of things that would gladly partake of the meat known as pony. -cowers in a corner-
